    Good news Barb!

Since we had to be at church at different times, I rode Boule. Nice ride in and back. Interstate all the way in, and backroads coming home. BTW on the last two tanks of gas, I got 56 mpg. That goes down to 47-48 on the interstate.

Tired. Sore. Headache. Paying for yesterday when I worked my tail off around the place. Hurt in places I forgot I had. Took 2 Excedrin and gonna lay down to get rid of the headache before the girl gets home and gives me another headache.

Morning. Cub headed home (to his home), said he wont be back for a while. He misses “home” when he travels and I’m happy with that. I’m thankful he found a place he can call “home”. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Meg is going home with him…Whew, she’s a big dog. :)

Good afternoon. Somehow my phone did not pick up Saturday’s ffa so my post from last night are are on Friday’s. Please pray for my Sis-I-L found out she is in the hospital last night she has been having ongoing problems ever since PD has. My brother has been keeping me updated but with his night driving job it puts a kink on a good time to talk.

The Parrot has had his shower and I am getting ready to go see SIL and taking a couple of movies for PD and I to watch on a 6 inch screen. That’s ok, we will have a good day.

    Everyone have a wonderful afternoon.

I’m cooking some beef ribs and reading Ken Follett’s “Pillars of the Earth,” which is great. I need to finish it because I have Lisa Jackson’s newest “Born to Die” to read too and get back to the library by Thursday.

PM, if u have a laptop, watch the movies on there. Bigger screen, and take a set of computer speakers with you so y’all can hear.

Been sitting outside a while; still burning up and sweating in the shade. Refilled my hummingbird feeders since they fussed at me all day yesterday for letting them get empty.

  9. Clucky says:

LEagle, Pillars of the Earth was one of Mama’s favorite books. Ken Follett is a great writer.

  10. parrotmom says:

Clucky I am having trouble with laptops. I need to carry one to work to get a friend to check it out.

  11. parrotmom says:

Hey Clucky thanks for the info I called you about. It just bothers me with PD taking oxycodone, coumadin, and shots in the stomach. My dad was on coumadin and was taking taradol and I made sure he had food to eat before he took the pain medicine. Long story short he wound up with a bleeding ulcer and the ER nurses didn’t think we knew what we were talking about and by the time they saw for themselves it was too late for the transfusions and he died from internal bleeding. Thanks for the reassurance.

I hope you made it to get some groceries in time. I will check in later.

never made it around to watching the movies I brought. we have been watching the USA network “Criminal intent” I think.

  13. Barb says:

Prayers for your S-I-L, PM and continued prayers for you and PD.

Evenin. Pillars of the Earth was a great novel. I think I read everything Ken Follett ever wrote.

  15. Legal Eagle says:

I somehow got behind of some of Ken Follett and I’m catching up. I love finding a great author whose books I haven’t read much and then discovering how good they are and having something to go back and read and know it’s going to be good. I was that way about Greg Iles. Once I discovered him, I went back and read everything he had written.

Supper turned out good. We had barbecued beef ribs, ranch dressing roasted potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce.

I’m near the end of Pillars of the Earth so I’m going AFK to read a while.

Leagle, dig out Taylor Caldwell. She was Mama’s FAVORITE writer. She read everything she ever wrote at least 3 times; The Captains and The Kings</u was more of an annual event. If you can't find them, let me know. I have kept most of her treasured hardbacks, and there may be duplicates of some of them.
