Good morning!!!
Mornin!
6:18 good morning to everyone!! Hope you all have a good Tuesday. I hope everyone is better and prayers for those in need spoken and unspoken.
Harrummph,
Morning Blues, it’s gonna be a LOVELY day here. Looks like rain in the offing. Fair officially starts with the dairy show today. MsRamona would be right at home.
Yall have prayer, we are putting this paper out on a shoestring. Our main server crashed and BURNED kinda like the space program. And it is that catastrophic, especially on deadline days. Gotta fly!
Thanks for thinking of me CL! I miss showing and hope my girls choose to do the same, but if they don’t I won’t force it upon them.
I’ll see your “Harumph” and raise you two grunts, Blues. Good morning? Matter of opinion. I’ve already been on the phone with work stuff since I still have fever and can’t go in. I hate the way I feel w/fever….my hands feel just like two balloons….
Got up to an upset tummy this morning; I guess that is to be expected with 2grams of Rocephin being shot into ur backside at one time.
Check in later. I need to go get meds filled shortly. Treating for staph and Lyme/Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever at the same time just in case.
Hey blues, I am not sure if your remark is good or bad. I hope all is going well on your job other than probably feeling like in Hades in July?
Summer has finally arrived! It’s too hot to even consider playing in the sprinklers outside. I hope the youngsters at camp handle it well. They aren’t as acclimated (sp?) as we were growing up without air conditioning but thankful for the attic fan.
Wishing all a happy and successful day!
hey all!!!!!!!!!
OB I agree it is to hot to even get out and go swimming
PM I voted again when I got to work
everybody stay cool if you can and it you have to go out PLEASEEEEEEEEEE be careful
morning gang! Today is C’s birthday – she is offically an adult (21).
happy birthday C, have a great day.
wow…the heat is on!
Son had a bunch of test at the doctor. He has being going to the restroom a lot…feeling weak. Hope it is not anything too serious. Please pray for him.
Praying for your son, jb. Keep us posted.
Happy Birthday to C!
A co-worker brought a large half of a yellow-meated watermelon in this morning. It is tasty!
Morning, too hot to do anything!!
If it makes y’all feel any better, it’s 132 where Big Sis is. But, she said it isn’t as humid today!
Stick your hand out, Blues. I’m passing you a cup of coffee.
JB, sounds like a kindney or urinary tract infection to me, but I’m totally unlicensed and just started my second cup of coffee.
I have absolutely nothing to do today but find 2 more people to play bridge Thursday. If you didn’t see last’s night’s FFA, I won the deuce prize (the last person in the game to win a trick with a 2) and it was a 3 1/2 pound can of fancy mixed nuts. The high scorer only gets $4.00, 2nd $3.00 and low score $1.00, so I made out like a bandit!
Thanx for the coffee eagle! I surely needed it.
/heads off lookin’ for the last donut
Good morning (it IS still morning, isn’t it?)
Yesterday fogged my brain and I’m not sure I’m defogged yet. Some days are just like that. Hoping today is better for everyone : )
Prayers for your son JB.
I finished my mowing here in town and used my turbo powered blower to clean up. Glad OB isn’t around to enjoy it. Now I’m sitting on my porch, ceiling fan going full blast, trying to cool down.
turbo powered blower
/Tim Allen Tool Time grunt goes here
:~p !!!!
interesting phone call of the day: Can you look up this bible verse for me? It’s on an old VBS shirt I’m wearing from 2005and I want to know the scripture in case anyone asks. It’s Psalm 25:4.”
Show me your ways, LORD,
teach me your paths.
I asked him which VBS title it was from and he didn’t know. I asked him what color the shirt was and he said black. I told him that was Ramblin’ Road Trip (note the connection with the ways and paths from the verse. Coincidentally, the same verse (and adding the next verse 5) was also the verse for this year’s “Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street. It’s amazing what church ladies keep in their heads.
I see where the FBI has taken over the Choctaw Casino in Philadelphia. Hmmmm, wonder if this ties in to the “non-election” they recently had where the current chief lost but declared the election invalid and called for a do over.
wow…you don’t see that everyday
Interesting indeed….
I’d love to be a fly on the wall , OB.
had to go to the bank – it is just a bit hot outside… Since it is happy hour went by Sonic for a RT44 Cherry Limeade.. it hit the spot..but this is one of those days I wish it was bigger.
My goal for the day has been met; I’ve found 2 more players for Thursday. Now, if BE will stay outside long enough, I will go online and watch last night’s episode of The Bachelorette and get caught up. Then a nap sounds good before BE carves the turkey he is roasting in the 18-quart Nesco roaster. Hopefully, he’ll walk the dog before he tackles the turkey.
Ah, the retired life…no money, not even a dollar can be scraped up, on my last 7 cigarettes to last me until next week…and not a lawyer in sight. Aw…
I’m here LE! :)
MR has been a prolific poster today.
It inspired me.
If the feds confiscated the computers in accounting, how will the casino tally the daily receipts….just wondering.
Money laundering according to 16.
oooooooh…..not good….not good at all
Maybe that will get Denson out of office, sorry sack of dung. I bet Chief Martin is rolling over in his grave.
Oh and the Choctaw Indian Fair starts tomorrow
I knew Phil years ago…he probably is spinning in his grave!! He had his detractors, but he did a lot of good things for his nation[tribe?].
everyone have a great evening. I will be getting out of here shortly. We are taking C to Biaggi’s (?) for her birthday. It will be a fun time.
It never even entered my mind that the Federal Government would hold pension and social security checks as hostage in the “Do Nothing Showdown” between the President and the Congress. I’m fortunate that I can make it without those checks for at least a year and possibly longer, but it’s a cruel act and will adversely affect millions and millions of people. As far as I’m concerned we need to toss all of the Washington politicians out and start over. They are expert at getting nothing done.
Of the People, FOR the People and BY THE PEOPLE.
AMEN!!
If they withhold my check, I’m screwed worse than I already am – all without being kissed.
I forgot I have voter precinct worker training tonight and it’s thundering big time. With something like no SS check looming, it would only be right that I step out the front door into a downpour. Maybe if I hold my head up and tip it back and pretend that I’m inhaling smoke…
And you will wind up drowning. LOL
Prayers for your son, JB,
Happy legal day to C!!
Evening. Just stopped by to say “Hi”.
God Bless ya, Pnther. I bet your pucker tone has been tested today. Hott…nevermind. I just cannot say it. How bout a WhoDat?
:)
Evenin!
Well, it’s been an interesting day, to say the least.
Raining in Copiah county for a change.
We’ve had a little over an inch here in Clinton today, yea!!!!!
prayers for JB’s son and pray that they can determine what is going on and able to get him fixed up.
PD losing his disability check will hurt us too!!! I hope the do nothings realize what this can do to the American public.
We did not watch the 5 or 6 news, we will need to watch the 10:00 pm to see what all has happened today.
Well, my plan to pick figs for my Mom tonight was thwarted by the rain. It’s getting dark and still raining. Maybe I can get some in the morning.
Watching the series premiere of Torchwood we had DVR’d. Looks good so far.
Is that when Gwen joins Torchwood? We watched it for while and then certain lifestyle emphasis just creeped us out. It’s on streaming Netflix (which is going to have a price HIKE come September #@!%^&#$%!!)
I’ve learned a good bit about Google docs this evening. I had done a family budget worksheet and set it so that anyone could view it, but when the eldest tried, it was gibberish. I’ve redone it and it seems to behave the way I intended now. I’m a happy camper. I love learning new stuff.
I finally have one of my laptops working. I finally have avg 2011 free installed and not the 30 day free trial one.
A shame it never would not let me fix it when PD was in the hospital.
Murphy’s Law, PM.
coop, check out this story: http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20110712/NEWS/110712024/-1/Nletter03/Clinton-High-show-choir-competing-on–America-Sings-?source=nletter-news
Isn’t that the group Bug is a member of?
Yes, MrsH! She is one of the keyboard players!
Having trouble posting. I hope y’all can see what MrsH posted…
I do, that is awesome!!!
MrsH, I agree Murphy’s law. I tried to update the HP laptop and it want even let me open internet explorer. I just restarted and will try again.
trying to run updates on the HP. It says there is a service pack 2 for Vista. I hope that makes it work.
See you folks tomorrow. Have a good night!!!
dinner was good. we had excellent service as well. C ended up having a great birthday – she asked for pots, pans, and utilsels (?) – she got them all. She is working on getting stuff for her apartment when she goes off to grad school in a little over a year.
everyone have a good night..
C is growing up, Blondie… they do that, as you know. Sounds like she is doing it right. Good job!
Night y’all.
