Mornin! It’s Monday already??
Marshall, I hope you are feeling better today.
It’s off to work I go!
Morning! Think I’ll go with Baby Darling to Memphis this morning! Y’all have a great Monday.
Good morning!! sort of late checking in. Had another scare with PD’s flow problem but after he started moving around all was ok. Whee!!!!
Running late and stopping for some breakfast.
Marshall hope you are better and everyone have a great day.
Mornin! feels great outside here & its the 1st day back to school for the kiddos.
morning gang! hope all have a great day. busy week at work and home this week.
Morning! Sore throat has been added to the cold, Yay, me!!!
Barb, gargle with Cepacol.
Monday, Monday…I already have 3 3/4 bridge tables filled for Thursday, right after our monthly luncheon.
Morning.
A lot on my mind this morning. We rent the building my church is in and there is a rather large building up the road that has come available. I know that there might be another church interested. Not counting my eggs.
I have a lot on my mind too. Seems Allstate wants to total my car. Since it is old, it’s only worth $3500. I can’t buy a reliable car for $3500. And if we have a new car payment that means Kiddo won’t be getting a car for VERY long time. We don’t even know the full extent of the damage. When the body shop got to $3700 worth of damage, they quit looking. I’m home for lunch, but somehow have lost my appetite.
I’m sorry, Molly. That stinks.
Thanks, Marshall. I don’t know what we are going to do. If I could afford a car payment, I wouldn’t have been driving an 11 year old car.
Molly, Look at it this way, you MIGHT be able to find a reliable car for say $5,000. The payments on that would be small once you applied the $3,500 toward it. Would that be possible? Perhaps you could find both you and kiddo something good and roll both payments into one and pay the $3,500 as a down payment.
That’s a thought, Card. I don’t even know where to start looking.
So sorry Molly for the car problem, I hope you get something worked out for the both of you. CLady seems to have a good idea.
OB hope your thoughts and pondering works out as well.
Barb, hope you get to feeling better soon.
Back to work I go. Happy afternoon :)
Greetings all. It was a busy weekend and I never could get this blog to load. Pirate apparel shopping with Em was interesting. We don’t seem to share the same vision of what pirates wear. (This season’s halftime show is Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Pit gets to dress the part.)
Well Molly if I were your insurance agent…
Actually nothing would be different. When you get something for Kiddo you really want to get something that you can pay cash for. Collision on a teen driver is outrageous. Kiddo won’t like me telling you that.
Did somebody hit you or were you at fault?
Kiddo would not like you AT ALL for saying that!
Someone else’s fault … and proof of what you said above: A teen driver hit us. We stopped because the car in front of us was stopped to make a left turn. The girl behind us was not paying attention. She rammed us hard. Knocked us into the car in front of us. There’s nothing left of the front end of her new little Nissan Altima.
You could always threaten lawsuit to get the insurance company to pay out more…but I’m not a lawyer. Because of their clients negligance you are not looking at purchasing another car and you don’t need a note.
Clucky, I did not take Hwy 15. Aren’t you just north of Newton in Decatur?
Headed north at Lake onto Hwy 489 to Union and then on Hwy 492 past Hero. Got lost and didn’t know where I was until I saw Former Senator Tommy Brooks’ house just out of Philadelphia. Had not been by there in at least 20 years.
Mawnin’, uh Afternoon y’all. Didn’t realize I had not checked in. Cut grass this morning and didn’t even break a sweat. Just got back from the store with four half gallons of Blue Bell. Man, I need that stuff to go on sale somewhere. If you hear of a special let me know.
Actually Clucky, I toyed with finding your house, parking Boule right in front and taking a picture to send to you.
That would have been a hoot!
Made it to Memphis and back with Baby Darling! We took the T Bird and dropped the top. It got hot coming back! We stopped in Tupelo at Vanelli’s and had a nice cool salad and an adult beverage. I had a large Greek salad and she had a blackened shrimp salad. Great father/daughter day!
Molly I’m sorry for your troubles!
AW enjoy your times like that!!! There is nothing better :)
Evenin!
Molly, that just stinks!
Getting comfy’s on.
Evening. Just had a long dinner with my bff. Really needed to vent & she did too! Nothing about being mad, just stuff we can only tell each other. We’re like Vegas, it doesn’t go anywhere else! It’s nice to have someone like that, especially since I can’t always see my sisters.
Got to visit with Hubby some. Nite, all! :)
LIKE! Glad you got a chance to vent. I’ll see you this weekend and you can do some more!
Went for a ride after supper. Very refreshing. The cool spots were like stepping into a cooler. Looking forward to riding in the fall.
Molly, so sorry about the insurance company. I had the opposite problem with Allstate…my ex and I got hit on base in Florida and sustained $1129 worth of damage. The car was worth $1250 and Allstate would not total it!!!
LEagle, thanks for the advice. PM, thanks for the well wishes. Maybe I will feel better tomorrow?!
Allstate called this afternoon. They are offering me $4400 if I keep the car. If they take it, they will give me $5600. Doesn’t make sense because they will only pay for $3500 in repairs. If they are willing to buy it from me for $5600, why won’t they pay $5600 for repairs? Anyway, we decided to keep it, get the $4400, and get only the back end fixed. The front end doesn’t have any damage that is visible and the hidden damage is nothing that affects the safety or driveability of the car. We can get the back repaired for about $3400. We may have to keep the rental a few days and pay out of pocket, but that extra $1000 will be more than enough for that. They still owe me for missed work and “any inconvenience.” The “inconveniences” have been adding up for the past 2 weeks! I’m still working on a number to throw out there for a settlement. If I don’t like their reaction, I have a couple of attorneys at the office that will be happy to write a nice little letter to Allstate telling them to treat me better.
Get um Molly! Turn those lawyers loose on them!
Good luck Molly.
