    Good morning!

Y’all have seen on the news the last few days how grateful all those people in Libya are for overthrowing a dictator after 41 years. Our forefathers fought so that we could be free. Exercise your freedom today by going to the polls and casting your vote for the candidates of your choice.

  2. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Leagle, you must be working the polls today to be up so early!

I’m looking forward to going to see my Bug playing volleyball this evening in Clinton. I’ve never been to a volleyball game before. Have no idea how it works, but at least I’ll get to see my busy Bug!

Now to get ready for work…

  3. Legal Eagle says:

Your Bug is absolutely adorable! We used to play volleyball at recess in school back in the days when we had PE and home economics, shop, art and stuff like that.

Hi, ho, hi, ho, it’s off to work I go…. I hope none of the machines act up today and that we are very, very busy since that always makes for a day going by fast. If not busy, they tend to drag and draggggggggggggg.

I will be AFK until tonight. How about rounding me up 2 more bridge players for Thursday while I’m AFK? Thank you so much!

    Morning!!

Good morning and happy voting for today. Everyone have a wonderful day. I think I am ready for work, just need to get the pets all taking care and that includes PD. They all take longer than me most days..

  6. OldBopper says:

Good morning! Vote, vote, vote! Keep Legal busy.

IMHO, college athletes who act like thugs should be treated like thugs, not coddled and protected as though they are poor innocent kids. Kick’em out and quit trying to protect them. College coaches who participate in or hide indescretions should be banned from coaching for life. College athletic programs found to be guilty of violations should be banned from receiving any money from television broadcasts and any tv contracts should be automatically revoked.

If that doesn’t work, then we ought to get tough on the creepy bastards.

  7. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

OB, I’m a huge college football fan and I agree with everything you said. It all comes down to money.

  8. Airwolf says:

    Morning!

New day all bright and shiny. I hope CP got a good report.

Please go to the polls today if you have a runoff.

  9. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

  10. The Real JB says:

    Morning all.
Still waiting on the offer to be returned. It didn’t get sent out until last night or first thing this morning because of the logistics.

I’ve gotta get on these quotes now. May be having a recruiter from another company call me today. Don’t hurt to listen.

  11. cardinallady says:

Mornign. Going to be a loooooonnnngggg day. See yall later. I’ve got to get a river of words typed up right quick.

  12. Clucky says:

Been up since 430. Sat straight up in bed wide awake. 2 hours later, I realized 430am was 1 month to the minute Mr Fab’s mom passed away.

Gonna be a loooong day. Y’all play nice.

    • cardinallady says:

Wow. Clucky. Has it just been a month. It seems like that was forever ago. I’m sure it seems that way to you too.

  13. parrotmom says:

    Howdy it is lunch time!!!
So sorry for all the extra long days that some of us are having. I agree CLucky it doesn’t seem like a month ago.

    Happy voting to everyone!!!

  14. Mrs. H says:

I thought I had said good morning. I guess I was just lurking!

  15. dhcoop says:

WTH?? There are three helicopters circling over Jackson!

  16. The Real JB says:

Brother is in Richmond VA…said he got jarred pretty good. So is the world coming to an end? Is 2012 the end?

  17. Mrs. H says:

I started reading a story about Irene, but had to stop when I got to this line: “…and came two months after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.” If they don’t have the facts straight about where Katrina hit, there was no point in going on.

  18. Mrs. H says:

We have a young man working in Philadelphia who said they were shaking, too.

  19. OldBopper says:

Was watching a video of the White House during the earthquake. It showed the rooftop. Secret service agents swarming out like fire ants.

I don’t wish a hurricane on anybody and maybe it will move on out to sea. But the course change sure helps with our vacation plans. The long range forecast is now for sunny every day we are on the Florida coast.

It sure saves me from packing some extra things that might be needed in the event of an emergency. Bought my annual supply of hurricane gasoline yesterday. PQ had 60 cents per gallon off at Kroger gas so I used about $97 of my $100 limit. Vehicles and gas cans are all full.

So I have plenty of batteries for portable radios, scanners, and lights, plenty of fuel oil for my hurricane lanterns if I have to use them, the portable generator is ready to go, just add gasoline, have my unused big blue roof tarp just in case, and need to get a couple of containers full of propane and some water and I think we will be ready. Hope I don’t have to use any of it.

  20. dhcoop says:

About to watch my Bug play volleyball!

  21. parrotmom says:

    Enjoy Coop!!!

  22. CornPop says:

Heard from my doctor just before I left work. In a nutshell his words were, “You should be hurting!” I have a 4 cm. Baker’s Cyst blown out at the back of my knee and about 2 cm. torn meniscus on the outside of my knee. He’s going to schedule an appointment (1st available) for me with an orthopedic surgeon. I’ll find out about how bad my surgery will be and when he can fix me up. My doctor feels certain this can be done arthroscopically, but he said the Baker’s Cyst makes it more complicated. *sigh*

  23. Legal Eagle says:

CP, I know 70 and 80 year olds who have had the knee replacements, knee surgeries, menisus surgery, etc. and all have bounced back quickly. I hope you do too if surgery is necessary.

We had about 1/3 of the voters we had in the primary, but they stretched it out into an all day stream, so the day went by a lot quicker than some have. Nobody had to walk in and interrupt any of us snoozing from boredome. I’m tired though from sitting there for 13 hours.

  24. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

CP, that sucks! But, at least you know what’s going on! You know I’ve got your back if you need me!

Enjoyed learning a little bit about volleyball this evening. Clinton played Forest Hill. Trounced them the first game and then got a little slack and almost lost the second. Clinton ended up winning, but barely. At least I got to see my Bug in action, and got to visit with my Baby Girl and Peanut.

    Finally in and chillin.

  25. parrotmom says:

Glad to know that Clinton won. Glad you enjoyed the game, the teaching, and the time with the family Coop.

  26. parrotmom says:

    Nite to all!!!
