Our walk this morning was rather soggy feeling, too. We didn’t get rained on, but the humidity was visible. I can feel wetness running down my back now. I think I’ll go take a shower!

Yesterday, being talk like a pirate today. I hate to mention my ship is taking on water and I don’t know how much longer I can dog paddle through the 8 hurs before me today. I think it could be whirlpool dragging me down!! Oh, I wished I would not have taken off those days if I knew it was going to be this bad after the fact.
Good morning. I hope all who like to play in the rain are having a wonderful time of it. At least the grass has slowed down. Tomorrow is officially the first day of Fall. The trees in New England are starting to turn and will peak around Columbus Day weekend. Hope everybody has a great day.

Yes, Coop. A perp was inside apparently causing a disturbance. When the police arrived, he ran into the kitchen and ended up being shot by a policeman.
It was a Newk attack!
The lady that cuts my hair was robbed Thursday afternoon. She was waiting for her last appointment of the day to show up and had her 8 year old daughter in the chair, curling her hair. Two guys in ski masks came in and demanded all her money. They thought she had it in her pockets and were searching. Then they found the box. They took her cell phone and ripped the land line out. She figures that the 5:30 appointment that she was waiting for must have been a set up by them. She and her daughter are so blessed that all the guys took was some cash.
MrsH, that must have been very traumatic for the little girl!! Glad they are okay.

The networks make me so mad. They put all the good shows against each other and the rest of it is pretty much dreck. For lack of something else to watch right now, I’m actually watching DWTS and for me that’s reaching. That Carson Presley is the cutest thing, even if he did star in Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I have a reminder set at 9:00 for the new show, “Unforgettable.”
Just had to explain what “LMFAO” meant to my Mother, since they just performed on DWTS. She LOL!

Very happy that the Artest dude is gone from DWTS! He creeped me out from the beginning.
Talking with Mom (about DWTS, of course) and asked what they were doing this weekend. She quickly responded with “celebrating your birthday”. My response? Ok, I want a Dad hamburger, plain potato chips and baked beans. Then I called her back and reminded her that I didn’t want cake, but sweet potato pie, since I’ve NEVER wanted cake, just my own personal pie. She remembered that, of course. She used to make me one in one of those little pirex dishes just for me. :) She also reminded me that I used to demand that she make cupcakes for all of the neighbors that I would deliver on my birthday. I don’t even EAT cupcakes, but apparently, that was something I did as a child. Go figure…
So, this weekend, I can look forward to one of my Dad’s hamburgers and sweet potato pie!!
