  3. Barb says:

    Happy birthday, AW!

  4. Airwolf says:

Morning friends. Thanks for the birthday wishes!!

  5. dhcoop says:

Ok, someone ‘splain this to me. I’m reading the instructions in the hair color box (YES, I read instructions!), and get to the part about 2 weeks after the color…(you are supposed to apply a “revitalizer” 2 weeks later…) Anyhoo…, it says, and I quote, “Before using it, conduct another skin allergy test 48 hours before application by applying a small amount of the product to an area the size of a quarter in the bend of your elbow and allowing to dry. Do not wash this area for 48 hours.”

WTH??? HOW do you avoid washing that area for 48 hours without a major league bandage or no shower??? You have GOT to be kidding me!!! I think I’ll take my chances on the allergy!

Oh, and yes, I AM coloring my hair again since my Baby Girl said I need to go darker. :)

    • Mrs. H says:

I’m too chicken to color my hair. I don’t want to get caught in an endless cycle. Every now and then I’ll use some of the highlighter left over from when the girls put highlights in theirs. Just enough for my inch-long tresses!!

      • dhcoop says:

I have never used “permanent” color, for that very reason. Don’t like looking at peoples roots. The kind I use washes out after a while. There is no obvious line when it grows out, because it just slowly washes away.

  6. pncpnthr says:

Just heard one of my jars seal! And, I just ordered more yarn. They need to quit sending me emails with all the cute patterns!

Happy Birthday, AW! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  7. Legal Eagle says:

Aw, please, dear friends. As you ease into senility (err, seniority), you’re going to have to buck up, grit your teeth and toughen up. As you advance, you will find you will need a tough shell to deal with the old birds with whom you find yourself thrown. In other words, you can’t let a little thing like Miss Clairol even give you a hiccup. Don’t worry about the allergy test. If it turns out you’re allergic, you can deal with it then. If not, hold your head up and enjoy the envious glances at your lovely hair. Roots, moots.

And Airwolf, have a wonderful birthday celebration and know your friends are thinking about you (the ones you can still think, that is).

  8. Legal Eagle says:

Somebody’s going to have to go back to China-Mart for catfood and I don’t feel like it should be me since if I couldn’t remember to get it on the first trip, I clearly can’t be depended on to remember to get it on the second trip.

    • dhcoop says:

senility, huh?? ha! I DO believe I can remember what I’m supposed to get at Dollar General on my way north…or DO I?? Where the heck is that list…….

  9. dhcoop says:

Headed north for my Dad hamburger and Mom sweet potato pie. She told me last night she made me one all for myself! HA! It’s great to be 10 again! :)

Of course, if I were REALLY 10, I wouldn’t be driving myself over 100 miles to see my parents, but that’s beside the point…

    Later, folks!

    • Legal Eagle says:

You do remember that you PROMISED me some sweet potato pie I hope. If you did, I can bite it and won’t have to bite you. If not, watch out!

  10. Airwolf says:

My 87 year old Daddy and Mom just stopped by to give me my birthday present and a hug! Daddy scares me with his driving.

    • pncpnthr says:

My parents are in their 70s & they scare me driving!

    • Legal Eagle says:

As I’m leaving the senior centers, I hang back until some of the others have driven out of the parking lot before I venture out. A lot of them are in their 80’s and even a few in their 90’s and driving everywhere. One told me the other day that because of some problems going on with her neck she hasn’t been able to lift her arms some days. She said she drove to the physical therapist that morning and couldn’t reach up to turn the wheel so when she had to make a turn, she touched it a little bit, stopped and then a little bit more. Make me glad I wasn’t on the road that morning.

  11. OldBopper says:

    Happy Birthday AW!!

Had a short ride this morning so I could get back to watch Georgia/OleMiss. The stump grinder is outside working.

    It’s a beautiful day outside.

  12. Airwolf says:

A friend just gave me birthday advice. “Don’t sweat the petty things and don’t pet the sweaty things.”

  13. OldBopper says:

This from a Facebook friend: “Houston (Nutt) we have a problem.”

  14. Mrs. H says:

No sweet potato pie here, Coop. Mr. H requested coconut pie. Good thing I had a full bag of coconut. I burnt the first 1/2 cup while attempting to toast it.

El reports that she thinks they did well at their contest today. She saw a video of the show and liked what she saw.

  15. parrotmom says:

Happy Birthyda Airwolf, may you have many more.

We are now the proud owners of a 2001 F150 xlt super crew. Drives like a dream. I am ready to get rid of my Impala, but PD states the F150 is his. Hmmm!!! we’ll see who does all the driving in this house?

  16. dhcoop says:

Nomnomnom… A Dad hamburger and Mom sweet potato pie…. doesn’t get much better than this!

  17. Ann Onimous says:

Looks like I came in just in time…

    Hippo, birdie, two ewe:

    “It’s a bird!”
    “It’s a plane!”
    “nooo… it’s a… FLYING WOLF! RUUUUNNNN!!!!”

    (the birds fly away)

    Hippo, no birdie, two ewe!

  18. dhcoop says:

    LOL @Anne! Great job!!!!!

  19. parrotmom says:

I am so glad that Airwolf and Coop have had a wonderful day. I guess since Coop’s birthdays tomorrow that she will have two big days in a row. I hope at her age that she can handle it. Bless her heart :)

  20. Legal Eagle says:

I know what you mean! Bless her heart! J/k

  21. Legal Eagle says:

BE was doing some stuff outside and I went out on the steps to sit and talk to him and play with Hoodlum and it’s cold outside. My computer says it’s 62 degrees and I could sure tell a difference.

  22. Ann Onimous says:

Coop, your song is tomorrow. ;)
