  1. Mrs. H says:

Good morning. Hoping Mr. H will be headed this way shortly. I’ll have to pick him up in Mobile somewhere. I’ve got a casserole in the oven to be taken to a funeral luncheon, then El needs clarinet reeds. Our only music store in Lucedale seems to have closed its doors, so I need to make sure I get them while I’m in the big city.

  2. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all have a great day!

  3. Airwolf says:

Morning friends. Headed back to the farm to mow my 8 acres!! Cool day to mow!

  4. parrotmom says:

    Morning again.
Marshall enjoy your day in the Delta! Everyone have a wonderful day :) It’s Friday.

  5. The Real JB says:

    Morning one and all.
Today is the last day of the sales month and year so I will be getting some stuff turned in today.
Beautiful day in TN today. Frost warning for the weekend. I hope it doesn’t get too cold because we are having a block party for our little trailer park where we pick up kids for AWANA.

Most of you have a great day!

  6. Legal Eagle says:

In the two weeks that Hoodlum has been outside, she has stayed close to the front door and within easy reach of her food bowl. I go outside and visit with her and let her walk my shoulders and rub her face, which she loves. She has always been jealous of the dog being walked outside and when she was inside, she would sit in the window and watch as the dog was taken outside. This morning, I felt like I had stepped into a Disney movie. I walked Lupe and Hoodlum walked us both. She stopped to roll in the dust and jumped up and kept up with us the whole way. When we got back to the front steps, she jumped between me and Lupe and over the leash, just because she could. I love that cat and she’s smart as a whip and loving her outdoor life.

I’m being picked up at 11:30 to go to the Friday bridge game, so I need to get dressed. TGIF!

How does a manager win two World Series and lose his job over an end of the season melt down.
St. Louis kept theirs last year and he has them back in the playoffs. Do any of you talk baseball anyway???

    • Molly says:

Sorry, I don’t speak “baseball.” I can speak a little “football”, though not fluently, but am completely illiterate when it comes to baseball. I know there are sticks called “bats” that are used to hit round things called “baseballs” and then one guy will run a straight line as fast as he can to a little white square and then everybody stands around staring at each other until somebody else hits a round thing and runs. That’s about it.

    • msblondie says:

JB – i am a baseball junkie. I think what Boston is doing is a big shame. I know other teams will be very quick to pick him up though.

    • Barb says:

a little bit…i am a die-hard yankees fan amidst an entire family of braves fans.

    • dhcoop says:

I know as much as Molly does!

  8. Molly says:

Hey, hey. It’s been busy at work and then chaufffeuring Kiddo around after work. She has been working feverishly on the NWR Sophomore Class Homecoming Float for 2 weeks. They have tonight off from the float. The game is out of town and she’s not going, so MAYBE it will be a calm, quiet, stay-at-home kind of night! I will REALLY be glad when she gets her drivers license!

  9. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

    I know, it’s been awhile.

Happy belated birthday wishes to anyone who had a birthday in september.

I have a temporary assignment(about 7 days) in east texas.

Y’all have a good weekend and Go Dawgs!

  10. msblondie says:

got the friday afternoon dont want to do anythings.

  11. Mrs. H says:

We have been informed by AT&T that we are over our allotment of data usage for DSL. I didn’t know we had a limit!

    • msblondie says:

Yes. They are now charging for data usage – The amount you are allotted depends on the package you have with them. Though my understanding was it wasn’t going into effect till next year.

    • Legal Eagle says:

You have “the Man’s” number. Use it.

  12. parrotmom says:

Molly, I love your description of baseball. I really laughed out loud :)

I know baseball but not the teams or whose in and who’s out.

hey Blues q little is better than none. Good to hear from you.

LegalE so glad hoodlum is enjoying the outdoor life. It must be why she was doing what she was doing in the wrong place.

  13. parrotmom says:

MrsH that sounds ridiculous. Never heard of such.

  14. The Real JB says:

msblondie…what is your thoughts on Fredi Gonzalez?

So who are yall pulling for in the playoffs?

    • Barb says:

it’s easy to second guess your decisions, but it is a little late for Gonzalez to change things. he does need to be a bit smarter in the playoffs. That said, i of course want my yankees to go all the way. as far as the other league, i would kinda’ like to see arizona do well.

    • msblondie says:

I think Fredi did a good job. Injuries did the Braves in at the end. Along with Pitching seeming to disappear. I look for them to come back strong next season.

I like the Rangers and Brewers. This is a match up I think will be really good.

And the first game starts here at 4pm. so about 45 minutes away.

  15. OldBopper says:

back from the dr. the good news is the accident didn’t kill me. had some more x-rays done of left foot and ankle. my left calf, ankle, and foot are swollen and my big toe is purple. that toenail is about half off, but it isn’t hurting at all.

  16. Airwolf says:

Finished! My sinuses will never be the same! Wind has blown all day! Always from the right direction to put everything in my face”@@&$@”

  17. Airwolf says:

I decided to drop the disk off the tractor and put on the chisel plow. Plow kicked sideways and dug a 2 1/2″ X 1″ gulley in my left forearm. Looks worse than it is. I know why I carry a first aid kit in all my vehicles. Waiting for Rambette to get home and read me the riot act.

  18. OldBopper says:

the only safety gear i was wearing was my helmet, it has some serious abraisons from the temple to the chin area. it worked as it was supposed to. was wearing tennis shoes which were ripped enough to discard.

i’m glad and thankful to be able to say i learned my lesson regarding safety gear.

  19. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Goodness! We are definitely falling apart! AW, glad it wasn’t more serious! Personally, I seem to be coming down with something. My chest feels like a 100lb weight is sitting on it. Coughing and sore throat. Yay me! I hope I don’t have that summer bronchitis that several folks have had, including Marshall. Nyquil is in my future plans…

  20. Legal Eagle says:

I’d rather drink a slug of straight scotch than try to down Nyquil. And it work the same.

  21. Legal Eagle says:

work = works. I haven’t had any scotch. I just fed the wrong info into my keyboard.

  22. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all have a good saturday. would rather still be sleeping but woke to a cramp in my leg.

  23. OldBopper says:

mawnin’ gang. tough night…the broken clavicle wouldn’t stay in place…causes a hurt.

hope you can enjoy this day.

coop, get outside in the fresh air and open up the house for fresh circulation. hope you will feel better before the end of the day.

    aw, did you require sutures.

    barbara, is your back better.
