Mawnin’ y’all. Thought about Marshall and his winning wife through out the game last night. Must have been fun.

    AW, answered your email.

Headed to St. Philips 30th annual Goat Roast and Blue Grass Mass this morning. It’s a fun time for all. Wear you shorts or jeans, bring your lawn chair, and come hungry. There’s praying, singing, preaching, and plenty of food and more singing. The main service starts at 10:30 am. Old Canton Road.

Morning! Off to church. Y’all have a great day!

I wish we could be there, Easy Rider. It’s one of the great events of the year in Jackson.

I finished reading “Naked Heat” by Richard Castle (written by a ghost writer and whose character is portrayed in the ABC series “Castle”) and since he (or she) has written about 20 books before this one, I’m going to have to look for more of them.

Afternoon, beautiful day! All the hay is in the barn and all is right with our world at present. I feel a nap coming on!

  8. parrotmom says:

Sounds like a grand idea AW. I have seen more hay hauled through Jackson lately than I ever knew was. I guess since I am on the road more during the week is why I have noticed it so much.

Leagle, I read that book recently myself. Currently I’m reading a Father Brown collection and Ford County stories by John Grisham. I’m waiting to finish both of those before I start the Free Range Knitter that I purchased for my Kindle last week. (Both of the others are on my Kindle, too.) I read something recently about getting library books for 14 days for free on Kindle, but I’m not sure how to go about it. I guess I’ll have to research that.

Flitting through. Not long after my post Friday my cousin called me and told me her dad has gone on to glory. he had lung cancer. It’s been a pretty hard five years. He spent his last day on this earth playing with his little horses. He lived to love horses. *tears* He will be missed.

  12. parrotmom says:

Prayers CLady, so glad he enjoyed doing what he loved most on his last day.

waiting for football to end and PD’s disposition to get nicer. He wanted to get out, getting out makes him hurt worse, which makes him and me very unhappy.

  13. OldBopper says:

We had a great Goat Roast and Bluegrass Mass! Every seat was filled, all the extra chairs we brought in were filled and we had folks standing. Lot’s of people from other churches and denominations come each year. It was truly a wonderful time and seemed to be enjoyed by all.

Two weeks after my motorcycle event and I’m still a sore boy. I think I did too much today with my bad arm.

  14. Legal Eagle says:

Because of some ball game, The Good Wife was almost 30 minutes late, so I will watch it tomorrow on Comcast’s Channel 1. Pan Am is coming on in a few minutes and I really like it too. BE is watching one of the Transformers movies and I may end up watching both of them tomorrow. We’ve seen the Transformers movie, but I’m not sure which one it is.

  15. parrotmom says:

Good Monday Morning My Friends. Happy Columbus day and congrats to you that it happens to be a holiday. PD and I off to the doctor for him to get stuck and see about a change in meds. I think he is more irritable than ussual, I think the fear of the unknow will do that to you. Althuogh, he would never admit that he is worried about his upcoming CT scan.

  16. dhcoop says:

    Mornin

I think a weeks worth of cold meds finally caught up with me and has torn my tummy up. Laying low today.

  17. OldBopper says:

Mawin’ gang. Forgot about it being a Federal holiday today.

It’s been two weeks since my accident and I hurt as bad as I did just after the event. I know, I really know, I pushed it too far yesterday at the Goat Roast.

Just about everything I do requires an earnest moan. I am amazed at how the general effects of the accident continue to wear on.

I’m still a mighty lucky boy thanks be to God. But enough about my ole sore butt, I hope all of you have a good day.

    Smiles to all!
