G’morning again. We’re going to make the 5 pm church service today.
Just finished taking Boule on about a 20 mile ride. Country road, two lane highway and four lane highway. Wanted to see how he would act following the accident. He did great! Will stay with short rides for a while until the collar bone finally heals. But it’s good to be “on the road again”. “I can’t wait to be on the road again.” Old Willie Nelson pegged that one.
Had planned to go to a biker event in Crystal Springs this weekend but just didn’t make it. Hope those who went had a lot of fun.

evening… been a lazy day.. needed the rest aft this week. now making pumkin cookies for my girls. 2 batches should keep them a week.
Would you please share the pumpkin cookie recipe with us for our collection? My grandmother used to make the best carrot cookies with icing seems like made with powdered sugar and orange juice.

BE is making chili and I’m reading J.D. Robb’s latest, “New York to Dallas.” I finished The Lazarus Trap by Davis Bunn a couple of days ago. When I went to the library Thursday, I managed to get 5 books that are one-week reads, so it will be interesting to see how many I get read between now and then.
The second season of “The Walking Dead” comes on at 8:00 (and 9:30) tonight, so I’m going to have to watch The Good Wife and Pam Am on demand or on line. Seems like on demand has less commercials. The Walking Dead is pretty good, considering the main characters are surrounded by zombies. They’ve been having a marathon today so folks could catch up on last season’s shows.
OK, am I the ONLY person in the world that ate a WHOLE box of fishsticks today?? OK,… probably so…
Here is the recipe for the pumkin cookies
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together all the following:
2 cups self rising flour
1 cup quick oats
1 cup plain sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup melted buter
1 can pumkin
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips (optional but makes better)
optional 1 cup chopped pecans
Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheets and bake for about 10 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes. They will be a soft cookie. (I use parchment paper on my pans for easy cleanup)
This will yeild 3 to 4 dozen depending on size.

What a horrible accident at the race today. I did not realize “Dan Weldon” was so young.
Evening. Decided to see how bad I have the headlight aiming messed up on Boule. Its a mess alright. The dim is a good as I have ever had, but the head on the bright adjustment screw is worn and I can’t make it turn. Guess I’ll have to find another screw for that. At any rate, it can be ridden at night without the brights especially considering how the dim is aimed.
Went to church this evening and prayed for all the sick ones on the blog and a couple of others I thought might be sick before Monday is over.
