Headed to early church. Then we will figure out what we want to do today.

Wishing all of you the very best. Smiles and hugs to all.

  2. Jennifer says:

Good morning to you as well! It’s just a wee bit chilly this morning!b

Hope you are having a great morning! I need my coffee! :)

  3. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

Greetings from The Big Thicket (about 50mi NW of beaumont,Tx). Hope everyone is well. I drove nearly 500mi for 5-7 days worth of work. No one ever said that I was a smart guy. I’m thankful for the work, though.

    Y’all have a great sunday.

    • OldBopper says:

Good to hear from you Blues. You’re not fooling anybody. You had cabin fever and would have driven twice as far if it would get you out for a while. Glad you found something to keep you busy.

      • blues4you says:

        You are not wrong, sir.

There has been a lot of dissension lately in the little mom & pop company that I work for. The dust is starting to settle and I believe it will be positive for my work situation.

  4. dhcoop says:

Time for coffee and a muffin.

  7. parrotmom says:

Good morning. We awoke to my playing “Trilogy” by Elvis on my phone then went to some other songs–oldie but goodies from the 70’s.

I just purchased my ringtone and 2 other songs that I had been wanting. Now to call myself and set my alarm settings to see how to wake up in the mornings?

I hope you all have a terrific Sunday :)

  8. parrotmom says:

Hey Jennifer glad to have you with us today

  9. Legal Eagle says:

Welcome Jennifer! I hope you join us often. Blues, it’s always good to hear from you and I hope things do shake out for your benefit.

I finished reading Davis Bunn’s “Gold of Kings” and got it turned in Thursday. Then Thursday night I started reading Suzanne Collins’ “Catching Fire,” which is the second in the “Hunger Games” trilogy. I finished it yesterday morning and luckily had the third one, “Mockingjay” checked out. I started it and finished it at 1:15 this morning. I think there is a movie in the works. BE wanted to watch “Twilight” on FX last night, so we did and both enjoyed it. I have put off reading the books and want to start from the first one, but since Twilight was first, we enjoyed the movie.

  10. parrotmom says:

Taking PD for a ride in his pick up. See y’all later.

  11. parrotmom says:

Hey Blues, Sorry for the long drive but a nice change of scenary :)

  12. Airwolf says:

Afternoon folks! Went to church. Now back at the farm, probably will go to nappys house.

    Welcome Jennifer!

  13. Mrs. H says:

Hi, Jennifer! Have you been lurking long or did you jump right in when you got here?

Hmmmm…. who are these guys in gold and white and what did they do with the Saints? I did recognize Sylvester Croom on the Rams sidelines. I thought that was him talking to that running back so I looked it up. Yep. He left Starkville and headed to St. Louis.

  14. Barb says:

    Welcome Jennifer!

  15. OldBopper says:

Hello Jennifer! Boule and I had about a 45 mile ride this afternoon. Man I enjoyed that. Will probably pay for it tonight, but it was fun while it lasted.

  16. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Made it safely back from KO. Had a great weekend with the family, although I’m sorry to report that lil sis, aka pncpnthr, seems to have come down with the crud.

Welcome Jennifer! I hope you will enjoy being a part of our family here. What part of the world are you in, if I may ask?

Glad to be off the road and now to locate my comfies and get settled in for a relaxed Sunday evening.

OB, glad to see you and Boule are having fun again, just be careful! Good to see you, Blues!

It looks like the Boss has done some writing over the weekend that I need to catch up on.

  17. dhcoop says:

I sure hope all of you are reading all of Marshall’s other writings he’s posting. He’s become QUITE a writer over the past few years.

  18. parrotmom says:

Glad you had a good ride OB. So sorry PNC has the crud hopefully she will get better soon.

  19. cardinallady says:

Evening! Slipping in for an evening chirp. I’m on vacation this week, but slipped into town to wait on CardinalSon to get back from my brother’s house. We will spend some time with mom and dad then go home and spend two glorious days at home doing NOTHING … well feeding the chickens and the dogs and cats and the cardinals … cleaning a little … washing clothes, cleaning the car, packing the car.

I’m taking him up to J.P. Coleman State park Wednesday for a little down time with the fishing pole. He needs that after the hard things we’ve gone through of late.

Welcome Jennifer!!! Hope you enjoy visiting with us. It is a nice place for folks to laugh, cry and pray.

BLUES!! I’ve been thinking about you all week! I re-arranged my counter in the kitchen and put some glod christmas lights on a little bare branch and put those special little cardinals under them. I am still enjoying them. Thank you for that special gift. You are a special fella. Hope you and Texas get along okay. At least it is warm there, huh?

  20. msblondie says:

Pictures of the Party Decorations and Food have been posted on FB. It was a fun night.

  21. parrotmom says:

Clady enjoy your week. I am so wishing I could have taken this whole week off but my time will be better spent later on than now.

My kittie girls have been enjoying being inside the last couple of nights I have some funnies to tell, but not as funny in writing as they were while it was happening. I think IttyBitty slept with PD in the hospital bed (in the den) during the wee cold hours this morning. She loves being high off the ground while sleeping. TinkerBell is happy in her cammo pet bed—works great for a calico kittie :)

  22. dhcoop says:

PD allowed Itty Bitty to sleep with him?!? Isn’t that a major breakthrough?? LOL!! I think it’s great!

Clady, I hope you and Cardinalson enjoy your time. Maybe you’ll get another rabbit!

Blondie, I enjoyed your pictures! You are a fab Mom!

I know Clucky is a proud Mom tonight. Congrats to Union for the win last night!

I’ve been catching up on fb and news. Sure do hate to hear about those youngsters from Ole Miss being killed. So very sad.

Doing laundry and chilling here in Gtown.

  23. Jennifer says:

Hi again all! Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I have been following MR for a while! I must confess that I am always close to home in the Pearl/Brandon, MS area so I guess you could say I’m a hometown girl! I always enjoy reading the new things from MR and this seemed like a nice place to join in! I hardly thought anyone would notice though it has been a wonderful surprise! I look forward to getting to know you all.

My better half and I went out for a ride this afternoon since the weather was so nice. We met some old friends and made some new ones as well. Hope everyone is warm and safe tonight and I’ll be here bright and early tomorrow! Night all!

  24. dhcoop says:

Well, Jennifer, we are glad to have you here among us. You can bet that we pay close attention to newcomers and are always happy to have one come join us and stick around for the conversation! We love Marshall and support him in all ways possible. Glad to know he has another supporter.

I brought the laundry home this weekend for the work cottage and tried to get cute and iron the pillowcases and top sheet. Screw that. I did the best I could, but I think I’m hanging the towel on ironing this stuff. It’s “iron resistantant”. And I’m still sporting a scar from the last time I ironed. Think I’ll call it a day.

  25. parrotmom says:

Coop, PD had no clue that a cat was in the bed with him, but he would not have minded.

I was reading when my screen immediately moved all the way down and would not go back to where I was. Surprise it doesn’t help with a cat laying on the keyboard. She is now biting my feet because I am typing. LOL!!

    Nite to all!!

  26. dhcoop says:

PM, allowing a cat to bite your feet and get away with it elevates you to official Cat Lady status!! Congratulations!! Having your husband sleeping with a cat that he doesn’t even know about adds extra points!! LOL!

Y’all be good and have a good night. I’m about to crash for the evening and look forward to a good Monday.

When everyone checks in tonight or tomorrow, y’all a give a good, warm welcome to our new Jennifer. We want to be sure she knows she’s a welcome part of the MRBA.

Love and hugs to all!! Good night!

  27. Clucky says:

I’m kinda sorta alive. Dr. Fred injected me again yesterday; how weird
It was to have needles Under the back of my skull and it sounded CRUNCHY when she went in thanks to calcium deposits? Felt as gross/weird/bizarre as it sounds. Still in shock over the 3peat!! Half the town lined Hwy 15 waiting for the buses at
Midnight last night. 3 school buses, equipment truck and no less than 100 cars rode all over town blowing horns & sirens waking up the whole town. AWESOME!
