Mawnin’ y’all. Foggy outside. Have a Dr. appointment in about an hour. Just a followup on the collarbone. I don’t expect any problems.

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning everybody!!! Flitting through! Happy Thanksgiving!!

CardinalSon set the tone for the second day of Thanksgiving week this morning. I shared with him how much my heart was overflowing with gratitude to God, not for what He has done, but just for being here, for giving me a special family that I can plan to do special things with. I am so blessed!

In his prayer he thanked God for the whole reason for Thanksgiving, and instead of thanking Him for the pilgrims or such he said, “it’s because of You and what You did by coming to this earth to give us eternal joy that we can celebrate this day year after year …” Hallelujah!!! AMEN! ’nuff said!

Off to a good start. Put the wrong email address for the site. Thus no avatar. Went to the Dr. only to rediscover he is off this week and I am scheduled for next Monday.

Not all is lost. Had my semi-annual half of grapefruit. Mmmmmmm good!

  10. blues4you says:

    Sure is lonely in here.

    • cardinallady says:

Oh Blues! (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) I guess everybody is busy like me. I must get my paper to bed. I texted my cousin in Kansas while ago and then flitted on to other stuff. He wondered if I’d deserted him. I told him for some reason, my editor insists that I work today, for some reason she thinks the readers want to read a newspaper this Wednesday. oookkkaaayyy. :)

      • blues4you says:

        Thanks for the hug cardinal:)

I’m about to finish up here myself. Should be home tomorrow night…maybe.

My new boss says I should be off for thursday but don’t make plans for the whole weekend. I am going to thankful this holiday for having work.

  11. msblondie says:

has been a busy morning.. jus swallowed some cheese and crackers for lunch.

now if the afternoon goes by this fast.

  12. Mrs. H says:

We had a golf tournament this weekend to raise money for the house in Leakesville. Looks like around $4,200 and that should put us over the top! WAHOO!!!

And today is my eldest’s birthday!! :)

And she found out the only open date for May at the Chapel of Memories on MSU’s campus is May 12- morning. That is the day of graduation, too, and is probably the only reason it’s open. We may be having this wedding at ABC. She’s not a happy camper. I told her that’s probably why all the books say to start planning a year in advance.

  13. Mrs. H says:

half of a $5 foot long for lunch today – the other half tomorrow.

  14. parrotmom says:

I am so tired. Cannot think straight or crooked.

  15. OldBopper says:

Blues, have tried to answer you but having trouble getting posted on the blog. I’m sure it’s me with the changes I’ve been making to the computers. Anyway, grapefruit counteracts with Lipitor. Occasional grapefruit is OK but I limit it to a couple of times a year just to be extra cautious.

  16. OldBopper says:

    Trying again

  17. OldBopper says:

Blues, grapefruit adversely reacts with Lipitor. A little grapefruit probably doesn’t hurt, but I purposely limit it to twice a year.

  18. OldBopper says:

Boss, just trash those comments awaiting moderation. Hope I have all this straightened out now. Thanks.

    Evenin

About to watch DWTS with Mom.

  20. parrotmom says:

Evening everyone, don’t feel much like a Jig tonight. Am very glad to be home. PD was awake and he became so anxious when I knew I was going to have to leave. They had to increase his meds to help him sleep. They tried to wean him down on the ventilator from 12 to 6. The nurse said he did not handle it well at all. Maybe tomorrow will be better, I don’t know at what point they will do a tracheotomy on him but he is almost to the end of his two weeks on the ventilator.

  21. parrotmom says:

Coop did your JR survive last week and no one is mentioning Chaz or maybe I am just in the know but is he still on?

  22. msblondie says:

what a day… but home, supper cooked, kitchen cleaned, 3 loads of clothes done, and goodie bags for bingo tomorrow tonight done. now watching The sing off. it is down to the top 4. really good.

  23. dhcoop says:

PM, Chaz is gone. He just didn’t have it. I’m still rooting for JR, but Rickie and Rob are still bringing it!

  24. Legal Eagle says:

I’m rooting for JR too, Coop.

I’m thankful for the friend who called and had “accidentally” gotten a turkey breast mixed in with her groceries, doesn’t really like turkey, tried to give it back to the grocery store and they wouldn’t take it. She called me when she couldn’t convince the store it wasn’t hers, said she didn’t have freezer room for it and wanted to know if we wanted it. Well, heck yes, seeing that you got something like that “accidentally” and showed the store folks your ticket showing you didn’t pay for it and they said that if it was in your buggy it was yours, and you don’t have room for it, heck yes. Let’s see…baked turkey…turkey sandwiches…turkey tetrizinni……

  25. parrotmom says:

MsBlondie you sure can run circles. I need your energy one day.

    • Msblondie says:

Pm the clothes were already washed and dried, just needed folding. Hubby helped to that while supper was cooking.

Still praying for you Hun. Just take your days one at a time.

  26. parrotmom says:

    Thanks for the update Coop.
