Thanks to you. All of you. I’m so grateful you take the time to stop in on this blog when there are so many other places you could be. God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Marshall and your family. Thanks for giving us this place to come to and enjoy fun, laughter, and prayer. Is truely a Happy place to be.
Happy Thanksgiving to Marshall and your family! Thanks for creating this and letting us play here.
To the MRBA: Even though I haven’t been fortunate enough to meet most of you, I consider you family. You have brought so much joy into my life. I love you all.
I feel exactly the same!!
I also feel the same.
Well, I don’t care what may come up when we plan the next MRBA pick-a-nick, your first priority this time will be with us. And don’t you forget it! I don’t care if your daughter or son decide to get married that day. Forget it! You know where you need to be.
P.S. If someone does decide to get married that weekend, we can have it at the pick-a-nick. One of the nicest weddings I have ever been to took place in June of 2010 at the MRBA 2nd Annual Pick-a-Nick and that was the wedding of Clucky and Mr. Fab.
If the pick-a-nick is in the Jackson area, we can make it. Roosevelt is too far for us to go.
Actually Ann roosevelt is only about 20 to 25 minutes from Jackson, I think. It looks fairly close on the map.
Ditto what PM said.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Already made a casserole and a fruit salad for work. Ya’ll think of all us retail peons who have to work today and tomorrow as you enjoy your time off with family and friends!!
It’s okay…I’ll be off on Christmas!!
(((Barb)))
I’m off today, but I work tomorrow. I volunteered. The day after is always fun at my job. :)
Happy Thanksgiving everybody! We all have our troubles and woes, but for today we should try to focus on our blessings.
Thank you Marshall for putting up with us. This blog has been instrumental in creating some close friendships.
Prayers for PM & PD and Mr. Fab. Let’s see….we know LE, AO, AW, BE, and others by their abbreviated monikers. I guess we know Mr. Fab as “MF”.
LOL!! OB, you are so bad!
I thought Mr Fab should remain the same.
*snerk!* In my case, I’m more AnnO: but hubby is IG… :)
Well said, ER!
Morning folks. Happy Thanksgiving! Marshall thanks for giving us a p;ace to gather. We’re a diverse group of personalities.
Ramnbette somehow slammed my truck door on her pinkie at Mom’s last night! Bruised and bursted open in the first joint.
We’re having our first meal at the Summit in Tupelo at 11. Then to Mom and Dads about 4. My brother, the minister, and family came in last night.
I hope everyone has a blessed day, prayers for all that are in need!
Mornin and Happy Thanksgiving!
I agree with what everyone else has said. God Bless YOU Marshall for giving us this place to meet every day.
I’m getting ready to head north to eat myself silly again. Hope everyone has a great holiday!
Sorry for Rambette’s finger I am sure that is still very painful :(
Again, Thank you to MR for creating this “family room” for us gather in.
I will have dirty dishes to be thankful for: it means we had plenty to eat.
Just finished some eggs, grits, and bacon. Really glad stepson is doing better and here with me.
Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
Thanks to MR for this place to come and his family for sharing him with us!
OK.. bragging – already snagged some good deals online.. Christmas shopping almost done…
Now off to meet mom and dad for lunch. We will have Thanksgiving at their house on Sunday.
Okay, I know I have been MIA for a long time but I do read (stalk) most days. Thank all of you for being welcoming to everyone. Prayers for PM, PD, Mr Fab and Clucky.
Stuffed ourselves at the Summit. Now to round two at Mom’s!
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Prayers for PM, PD, Cluckly, and Mr. Fab and Rambette.
There are some things that I should be able to find online, such as if I can’t find my size 10 double pointed knitting needles, can I hold 2 size 5’s together to get the same result? I know I bought a set last week when we were getting the eldest’s ring sized but I can’t find them now and I’m almost done with a project that requires me to reduce the # of stitches so they won’t fit on the circular needles.
Oh, well…..that’s probably wa-a-a-y too much knit-speak for most! I’ll muddle on and hope for the best.
5:20 p.m.
Thank you, Boss Man, for loving us as we love you and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I man kill him; I just may kill him – not you, Boss. I’m talking about Big Eagle. I have been cooking all day and he’s cooking the turkey breast. I sampled one of those Edwards’ turtle pies recently at a friend’s house while there playing cards. I spied one at Wal-Mart and bought it. I made the mistake a little while ago of taking it out of the freezer to thaw. BE saw it, cut it into about fourths instead of eighths and served me a big honking piece. It’s so good, but I just took the dressing out of the oven and wondering how long I’m going to have to wait to get up enough appetite to cook the crescent dinner rolls and get on with Thanksgiving dinner.
Doesn’t that count as an appetizer?
Sounds like it to me :)
I can’t breathe. ..again…
Thanks for the hug earlier!! Sorry you can’t breathe!
I did have a chicken minaro sub from subways. That was the closet I came to something similar to turkey today. No dressing either. Maybe before the end of this year I will treat myself to some of my own home cooking. PD seems to be improving. Tomorrow I believe will be the biggie—he should make it off the ventilator just fine and go to regular oxygen with his tracheostomy. Not sure how that works can’t remember 5 1/2 yrs ago.
I’m so stuffed, I’m almost sick! Meals were to close together! I hope everyone had a great day!
PM/PD y’all remain in our prayers. Rambette didn’t have to much problem with her finger except it’s in the first joint and bleeds if she bends it.
Happy day after everybody. Blues hope you made it home in time to eat a meal with your family. Ouch! I bet Rambettes pinky is a hurt! Praying for PD & PM.
Happy Black Friday shopping to everyone! I wished I could have a slice of my mom’s homemade chocolate meringue pie— heck the whole thing would be wonderful too. I know how to make one, just never mastered the meringue, even after all the years of beating the eggwhites for her by hand.
The trick to meringue Parrotmom is to add that sugar one tablespoon at a time and put cream of tartar in it, and the egg whites need to be room temperature. (I know that just made a lot of nurses roll over in their graves, but they do need to be a little warmer than right out of the fridg)
Friday 8:15. Good morning to all. Prayers , love and hugs to PM and PD and Clucky and Mr. Fab. NOW:: Are you ready for some good football. LSUvs. ARK. I am going to cheer for the Hogs. ALvs Auburn. ROll Tide. OleMissvs State. Win or lose you are still my team Hotty Toddy. ( now that our Nutt is gone) . . Those that are shopping be safe.
Sorry i didn’t get to flit in yesterday. When I finally located dad’s laptop, mom was using it last night. :) It is so neat to see my mom be laptop savvy. :)
We had a GREAT day yesterday. I packed some of my old dresses that I will never be able to fit in and carried them to mamas for the girls to play princess. I also carried scarves and jewelry. Outfitted them from the back of my car over their play clothes. That way I didn’t have a lot of stuff in mom’s crowded house and the girls enjoyed playing too.
I also carried some aluminum foil, a bag of toilet tissue rolls and yarn that I’d already chain stitched into a 16 foot string. I helped the kids make a “spy” telescope by rolling tinfoil around the tissue holder and stringing the yarn through it and hanging it around their necks. The girls had a ball spying on the boys.
Will catch up in a bit. Im tired, sore and alive. Awake since 10…YEST morning. Took care of Miss Thang :D. We got my Christmas yesterday from a storage unit. I had someone sitting on my shoulder, because out of the orphan china pieces I found (and paid $5 for the whole box), the first piece we looked up is worth min $150! Oh this is too much fun. I’ll share all the fun later, but MF (snort) is finally sleeping. He is some kinda sore, but hey, lets stick a pacemaker battery in each butt cheek and see how good it feels to have to sit and ride for 2 days!
Thankful for every one of you-even the one in TN I managed to run off. I love all of you like family-heck, you ARE my family. Yesterday was very emotional, to say the least. I’m so glad I have y’all here. PM and I observed the weather is far more pleasant in Oct/Nov than in the blazing Hades of June…and some of us are going to start making time for friends, not worries.
Love y’all; have a good day. Tis beeyooteeful!!
Morning! Having a late breakfast. Bear came home with us from Moms, imagine that.
I must have a turkey hangover, headache this morning;(
