BRRRR!!!!, chattterrrrr….. Baby, it’s cold outside and tomorrow morning will be even colder. Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday. Boss and everyone hope you all have a great day today.
Dangit, I was first. Pout. BRRR.
On a whim I am looking for a white twin size iron bed for sale. If anyone knows of one that I wont have to sell a kidney for, please let me know. Thanks.
Leagle, email me at cluckyrn at gmail dot com. Got a question for ya.
I just saw your post and sent you an e-mail. We are about to leave the house in a few minutes and if I don’t get your response before we leave, I will look for it as soon as we get back.
Morning! Off to work soon when all I want to do is crawl back under the covers and continue to try and get rid of this crap I have!!!
Have a great day!!
Morning folks.Wet, cold and nasty out. No snow here. Booneville and the northern counties had some. Ground is much to warm for it to stick. It’s going to be a long winter I think.
Hope you have a great day. Pray that PD continues to improve.
My daughter in Oxford saw some, but it didn’t stick there either.
Mawnin’ y’all. Be positive, this is just a mild day in New England. (That’s one of the reasons we moved back home 38 years ago.)
Prayers continue for PD and PM….aaaaand AW.
Cardinal Lady, I’m sorry you didn’t get that position, I know you do good in anything you set your mind to.
I’m doing well this morning! Thanks for the prayers.
Barb sorry you are not back 100%. Prayers for you.
AW glad you are a lot better.
CLady did you have snow?
Thanks, PM!
On Live With Kelly this morning, Kelly said it was 72 yesterday in NYC and going to be in the 60’s today.
Mornin!
morning.. everyone have a good day!
Cold here, too.
I think we’ve got the venue for the reception nailed down: Ocean Springs Community Center. That’s the one with the Walter Anderson murals on almost every available surface.
That will be beautiful, MrsH. I talked to a friend this morning whose daughter just had her wedding reception at the Pearl Community Center and she said it was beautiful, and we don’t even have any Walter Anderson.
Hey!! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Clucky, does M still have her tonsils? My elder daughter used to get strep A LOT – like five times last school year. Yanked the tonsils in July and she hasn’t been sick a day since, not even a cold. Second best thing we ever did for her after ear tubes.
We had those yanked out 6 or 7 yrs ago!!
I had a real lunch today. Well sort of. A personal pan pizza— supreme :)
Like. I had 2 ham biscuits earlier and that’s still holding me for now.
Wendy’s baked potato and a cup of chili.
Here’s a lemon ice box pie that is totally yummy. Easy to make.
Zesty Lemon Pie
Use store bought graham cracker pie shell. 9 or 10 inch.
6 egg yolks
2 (14 oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
1 cup fresh lemon juice. (5 to 6 lemons)
1 cup whipping cream
2 Tbsp powdered sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice and pour into pie shell.
3. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire rack. (About an hour) Cover and chill 4 hours.
4. Beat whipping cream at high speed with an electric mixer until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form; dollop over chilled pie.
Note: You can use bottled lemon juice, but the pie tastes much better if you squeeze fresh lemons.

This is one of my favorite pies. Works well with limes, too.
This is exactly like the one I’ve made for years with 3 egg yolks, 1 can condensed milk and 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice except that I use the egg white to make meringue for the topping. This just doubles the old standard and uses whipped cream and nothing tops anything any better than real whipped cream. Fresh lemons make all the difference in lemon ice box pie. The bottled lemon juice just doesn’t get it for a pie.
Anybody know how to get over this crap?!!
Go see the doctor like I did today, Barb! I feel your misery and have been fighting this crud since Wednesday with over the counter meds. When I started running a fever last night then I knew it was time…actually feeling better this afternoon thanks to good drugs. Doctor said I have bronchitis and not the flu thank goodness! I hope you get better soon.
Sorry you are feeling bad. Hope it improves quickly.
Thanks!
If I go to the doctor, he will tell me to not go to work!! I work retail…can’t be sick this time of year. It is not allowed!!!
There’s a fifteen degree temp difference between here and Jackson!
CP/Barb, I hope you get over the crud quickly.
Thanks, AW.
I hope you feel better too, CornPop and Barb. That bronchitis is horrible stuff. I had it 2 years in a row and had never had it at all before, so the next year I got a pneumonia shot and I’ve never had bronchitis since.
Clucky, we’re back, but I don’t see an e-mail.???
Thanks. I’m pretty sure I have a touch of bronchitis, too!
Hope you CP and Barb get to feeling better. Barb just go for the meds how will he know that you are still going to work?
Just can’t go right now.
CP, hope you continue to improve.
Prayers for all in need.
Goodnight.
Gnite..
