Mawnin’ y’all. A pretty morning out there. I take that back. It’s down right beautiful out there! A little popcorn before breakfast makes everything seem brighter. Just saying.

Have a Christmas get together in Vicksburg this evening with members of my high school class. We have been getting together during the holiday season for about ten years. Our 50th reunion will be next year in April, the weekend after the wedding.

Hope everybody has a great day!

Have a great time, OB. Since my class’ 50th reunion in June, the women who live around this area have been getting together for lunch once a month and the men have been getting together doing something together. Tomorrow is the ladies Christmas party.

  3. parrotmom says:

Yes, OB a beautiful day out a little bit chilly but tolerable.

    Mornin!

OB, you old dog you! LOL!

It is gorgeous outside! I’m really excited about this weekend. Our girlfriends are in from the UAE and Canada, so I’m headed down to Big Sis’ tonight and we are spending the weekend together. Got plans to bake all kinds of goodies at A’s in Eburg tomorrow. It’s going to be fun!

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Oh, Marshall,

I heard a story on PRM this morning about a man named Frank Curry who was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. I listened to an interview they had done with him recently and he spoke of the nightmares he still had from that day. He couldn’t remember what he had read in the paper that morning, but he could remember that day. Then they said he had died on December 7. 70 years to the day. I thought of the drawing you did of the ship in the sky and couldn’t help but picture him being on the stairway to it. I’m sure he was.

morning gang! been a busy week and going to be a busy weekend.

last night was the choir concert for the high school. First Pentacostal Jackson let us use their church for free and the entire choir fit the stage. It was probably the best location they have sung in. Concert was great. My dad even suprised M by getting to be there, he said he wasn’t hearing this one over a phone or a video. (We videoed anyway).

Tomorrow is hubby’s office christmas party so gotta go south for it. It always fun.

    Everyone have a great Friday!

    Good morning.

Popcorn for breakfast, huh, OB? My my my. The envy is palpable here in the woods this morning.

Almost finished here. Should be done late saturday. Next assignment is New Roads,La starting tuesday or wednesday. will probably be there 2 1/2 weeks.

Morning friends! Frosty on my hill!

  9. Legal Eagle says:

I’ve been up on and off all night with turbulence in the tummy. Awwwwkkkk!

I need to perk up for the movie that I have been looking forward to seeing. The Pearl Library is showing “Water For Elephants” at 1:00 p.m. I got my beginner bridge players moved up to Tuesday because of the movie and didn’t sign up to play in Brandon today. Now I hope my stomach will cooperate.

I am saddened to learn that Walgreens is no longer filling prescriptions for active duty and retired military personnel. They will not accept the insurance.

But, on the other hand, Super D is running ads on television welcoming the military business. Thanks Super D!

I use Tricare mail order, 90 day supply! Generics cost $0.

      • OldBopper says:

I do too. If I need something locally it sure as hell ain’t coming from Walgreen’s. They’re on my do not shop list.

    • Legal Eagle says:

I spit on Walgreen’s and their lack of service. The office where I used to work changed to Walgreen’s one year and honestly you could go to the doctor and take a prescription by Walgreen’s and give it to them, only to be told they might have your prescription ready the next afternoon. The hell with that. I went back to County Market Pharmacy and have never had a problem.

  11. dhcoop says:

Mrs Callenders Beef Pot Pie for me today! Then I’m heading out this afternoon to see Big Sis and the “gurls”. Yay!

  12. Legal Eagle says:

“Water for Elephants” was good even though the popcorn they serve is cold by the time you get there to see the movie. It followed the book closely, but it’s another one of those movies that I wonder how much people would know about what’s going on if they hadn’t read the book.

    Now I’m hungry.

    Everyone have a great weekend.

getting ready to wrap this day up. It has been a long long week.

  14. OldBopper says:

I gave in and put the passenger seat and sissy bar on my bike. Had to have it on to be able to use the Kuryakyn Gran Tour bag I bought since I don’t have a luggage rack. I’m definitely planning on a trip.

    • Airwolf says:

It won’t mount without the sissy bar will it?

      • OldBopper says:

It will if you put the provided anchor piece under the passenger seat. The bag is almost too big as it gets in the way of the operators backrest mounted that way. It does come with it’s own lumbar support that people seem to like. I’m thinking of getting a luggage rack but I don’t know the exact brand of the sissy bar.

    Evenin

I have a prayer request. Friend had a stroke today. G said they think they got it early and got the clot-buster meds in, but he’ll be in the hospital a few days. He’s had a rough patch the past few days and I guess that’s what it was leading up to. At least he is where he can get good care.

  16. Mrs. H says:

Been doing sewing and wedding stuff today. After a ferocious battle last night and this morning, the Eldest and the printer signaled a truce. She did not bend it to her will, she accepted its stubbornness and lied to it to get it to do what she wanted. Her ‘Save the Date’ cards are done and we’re working on getting them addressed.

Operation Poodle & Pi was a success. You can see pics on FB. Premier of Uncle Phil’s Diner tonight.

  17. parrotmom says:

    Evening everyone. Long day.

  18. Barb says:

PM, I just got caught up on yesterday and today. I am still fighting the crud and the back is giving me fits!! Thank you for asking.
OB, I don’t know the whole story, but I do know that we had petitions for signatures to try and keep Tricare. Sorry it didn’t work. We no longer take my niece’s insurance, either.
    Prayers for all in need.

  19. Molly says:

Evenin. I’m up late. Been playing games and chatting on FB. Guess it’s time for bed. Good night everybody.
