Barb. Sorry you are still having problems. Prayers for you and everyone else in need. Happy Saturday. To be in Ebugh with Coop and them with some holiday baking going on would be awesome. I could be the official taste tester.

Mawnin’ y’all. Nice get together last evening in Vicksburg. Just saw some pictures that were posted on the class site. Dang, we’re starting to look our age.

Been to Wally World this morning picking up baking supplies. Have a church related Christmas gathering this evening which is always a lot of fun.

Hope everybody has a good day.

Morning folks. Bear went with his parents to a Christmas Dinner last night so he didn’t come over. He just called and said he’d been ready for me to pick him up since six am. I’ll catch yall later!

2:10 p.m. I just got back from a brunch for the women in my high school class who live around Jackson and it was awesome. M had it at her house in County Place and she has over 100 Santas. We had about 15 people there and tons of food and one of our classmates played the grand piano and led us in some Christmas carols.

We have to go to China-Mart now to pick up some groceries and I’m glad, for once, that I’m not going grocery shopping on an empty stomach. That always gets me in trouble.

Good afternoon, 3:20 Canton’s Sip-n-cider was a lot of fun. Good friends, good cider, the lovely Christmas lights. We all had fun. Shopping and lunch today. Now back to the Square for somemore Christmas spirit.

  9. Mrs. H says:

I’ve had a wonderfully quiet day. Mr. H went Christmas shopping, the eldest and FSIL were wedding band shopping, Em had the ACT and El was at a sleepover. The Fireplace Doctor came and operated on my fireplace, which I haven’t used this season until today. Working on my Christmas cards. I have an almond cheesecake (from Craig Claiborne’s NYTimes cookbook) in the oven to take to a party tomorrow night. The girls will all be gone for a while this evening so Mr. H and I get a free date night. (We’ll get Chinese take-out and watch his latest Netflix offering)

All in all, my favorite kind of day.

I had the pleasure of meeting Craig Claiborne in San Antonio when he and Pierre Freney (sp?) put on a cooking school. I got him to autograph all 4 of his cookbooks. He passed out some printed recipes that were good too, such as whore’s spaghetti and turkey hash. He said the ladies of the evening in Europe made spaghetti and let the aroma draw in customers. He said he still liked to use his iron skillet too because I asked him about that when he was talking about cooking utensils.

    Sounds very enjoyable.

Waiting as usual. PD has lost 20 pounds. Today they say he is good, but has been in and out. Not much emotion just a lot of sraring into lala land. Still pneumonia, staph, and another infection.

Continued prayers for you and PD, PM.

Sunday, December 11th. Another day in the neighborhood. I tossed and turned so much last night. I just couldn’t stop the brain from thinking over and over the same old thoughts. It took all my energy to drag myself up for the final time shortly after 8:00. The roof tops looked like it had snowed the frost was so thick. I made a run to Shipleys for my 3 chocolate covered donuts. My parrot is repeating “I love, I love Stormie bird a lot.” it will just melt your heart.

Happy Sunday and many blessings to all!!
