Mawnin’ y’all. I agree PM….it’s cold out there. I see where Hwy 27 in Hinds county has been closed due to an overturned vehicle. Don’t know how current that news is, but I wonder if it has affected Coop in any way.

    Mornin!

No, OB, I was on the other side of that, but did hear that it’s supposed to be closed till at least noon. Hwy 27 between 55 and Utica.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yesterday my parents celebrated 56 years of wedded bliss and today Mom turns 75 years young! Orville and I took them for an early dinner yesterday at Bravo’s then we took them to Carols by Candlelight at 1st Baptist of Jackson. They said they felt like ‘royalty’ yesterday! We had an excellent dinner (I talked to Jeff Good & had him come to the table to give his congratulations, which really made them feel special). The Carols by Candlelight is a very impressive and moving production – we all had tears in our eyes. I’m so proud of my parents!!! Happy birthday, Mom!

I brought leftover ph peas & cornbread from Big Sis’ this morning and baked a sweet potato. Also made some green tomato chow with the maters we picked a couple of weeks ago to clear the vines. Good lunch coming!

Afternoon. Got a killer headache today, but having to work through it. It has Excedrin written all over it.
Just got back to the office from lunch. Our yard got rolled. It seems the pups found a couple of rolls of tp within their reach, took them outside and had a good time. There is white everywhere. Looks like it snowed. Silly little dogs. Last week it was an ink pen chewed up in the living room. Still trying to get ink out of the carpet. At least this mess is outside.

Afternoon! Flying in. I had some things I had to wrap up this morning because of not working for two days. It won’t be a hard day, though. But I sense my new editor will be trying to cramp my style this afternoon late. I’ll just have to step on his toes I guess. :)
We will have our Christmas parade tonight. Rain postponed it from last week.

It is a BEAUTIFUL day here at last. Red cardinals are making me smile lately. I have one gorgeous one that grew up on my feeders this year. He is sooo pretty.

Yall have a great afternoon. I’m about to go find some lunch.

I feel like my personal Christmas season can begin, now that all the church activities are done. This past week was trying my internal pressure valve. But I’m good now and no one was injured in the process.

I’ve been AFK all day. When I played bridge with the new players last week, one of them loaned me a book, “Cutting For Stone,” by Abraham Verghese. We moved our game to Mondays to better suit all of us and I was trying my best to finish the book so I could return it when I saw her today. I still had 40 pages to go when I left and it turned out we had a sub for the one who loaned it to me anyway. I finished it a few minutes ago and it turned out to be a good book after I waded through the first 207 pages. It’s one I would never have picked myself, about an English doctor who impregnates an Indian nun in Ethopia and the consequences of all that.
