Good morning and Happy Birthday Marshall!! May your day be filled with many blessings along with thrills and what not. You deserve them, you offer so much good to so many of us and even do so when you are not at the twilight of your day. I thank you and honor you for being a very open hearted and honest person.

Another day of waiting and hoping, but now my thoughts are so what they will drag there feet some more, no rush to get the additional testing done. As for his physical thearpy is better and he smiles with improvement when he finds a muscle that will react to stimulation and contracts. The therapist with their “Young bright shinging faces” and very bubbly personality would make anyone feel good.

Everyone have a wonderful and exciting day. Life does go on and time does pass ever so more quickly these days.

  3. pncpnthr says:

Happy Birthday Marshall! Hope your day is filled with smiles and hugs!

Got to work this morning. Should be through by noon.

Y’all, I’m excited about Ellis Johnson being the new head coach at USM. Fedora was never a favorite of mine even though he finally matured as a coach this year. I think Johnson will be a players coach and a fan pleaser. Fedora wasn’t a player’s coach until players were shot at a nightclub. Until then he treated players as if they were just mechanical robots that could be programmed to do whatever he wanted. He didn’t realize that the player is the team’s most important asset.

  6. msblondie says:

Popcorn popping on an open fire, Braveheart nipping at your toes, rap music being sung by the pros and folks dressed up like great big smoes…..

Hello MRBA! It’s hump day so go out and adopt a camel and have a great time doing it.

Happy Birthday, Boss Man! You picked a good time to vacation ’cause you deserve a rest more than the average bear. Have a great day and let it continue throughout the holiday season.

I’m going east to play with the old people today and before I go, I am going to have to make a call to let someone know they are not welcome to come back to our group because they are obnoxious as hell, loud, rude, crude and have no couth whatsoever. One more cup of coffee before I make that call.

  13. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARSHALL!!!!!

Yesterday, I got up from my desk and my right leg was asleep. I decided to “walk it off”. I took one step and my right leg didn’t go with me. Needless to say, I went down HARD. It was pretty funny. Until I woke up this morning with a HUGE goose egg on my ankle. Oh well… Swelling happens.

PM, you’ve got my admiration as well. I don’t know how you do it.

  14. Brad B says:

    Enjoy celebrating your Birthday!

    • Legal Eagle says:

Welcome, Brad. Feel free to step on in anytime. We really don’t bite and always enjoy an addition to our MRBA family.

  15. Mrs. H says:

    Birthday Greetings, MR.

Somehow I find myself involved in “projectdontmesswiththisolemissrebelblackbear”. It involves a highjacked C-USA championship T-shirt and its photo-op trip around the world.

  16. OldBopper says:

Through with meeting. Now to decipher some ten pages of handwritten notes into a report that makes sense.

  17. cardinallady says:

Goood afternoon … red bird finally here. My goodness! The day is clipping right along. Man … Marshall is getting through his birthday FAST!

Happy Birthday toooooo yoooouuuuu! Happy Birthday toooooo yoooouuuuu! Happy Birthday deeeaaarrrr Maaarrrssshhhaaallllll! Happy Birthday toooooo yoooouuuuu!

And many, many more! May God bless and keep you this day my dear. My life is so much richer because you are in it. Thanks for being a blessing to me.

Gotta fly! Love Y’ALL!!! Hey Blues! Oh Coop, I got an email from you the other day and when I clicked on it, it carried me to a cialis commercial. I think somebody hacked your address.

    • blues4you says:

      Hey cardinal.

Is AnnO mad at us or sumthin’? She’s missed a couple of berfdays now. And now she’s not singin’ for the Boss. This ain’t good I tell ya’.

  18. parrotmom says:

Alone again naturally. PD’s children are headed home. Sitting and waiting and waiting some more.

  19. Legal Eagle says:

BE went by Beatty Street Grocery and got us a couple of rib eye poboys. Yum!

  20. Clucky says:

Happy Birthday, ya old fart! (Heh)

    Popcorn? Wassat?

Came home with a migraine around ten this morning. ’twas a doozie. Took enough stuff to float Leagle’s adopted camel. It finally let up around 4 this evening. I’m still floating, however..

Would love to have been a fly on the wall to hear Leagle’s conversation. I bet THAT was interesting!

“Swelling happens” indeed. Miss ya, Coopster & Co!

Hugs for PM. Looks like the only way I’ll have surgery before the end of the year is if there is a cancellation next week, and it will be the same doc that did PD’s surgery.

  21. Legal Eagle says:

Swelling is a good thing, right???

Speaking of hearing my conversation as a fly on the wall, you should have been with me at the Comcast office today. I called them and told them my bill was late and that my check comes on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, which this month would be today. Comcast said that was fine and make a note. The very next day someone from Comcast called to inquire about my past due bill. I made arrangement with them too to pay today and all was good. Then this morning they turned my cable and internet connection off. I called them, was given another number, called it and got the same department I had the first time. A woman had the nerve to tell me they gave me until the 21st to pay it. I told her that this is the 21st and nobody ever mentioned that I had to be there at the crack of dawn when the office opened. When she went into her snarky voice and started with have a happy hol…..BAM….my cell phone slammed shut and would have shut her head up inside if possible. I went by there this afternoon, paid my bill, related my story, told them not to let me get home and find out they had to send a signal to anything to restore service. When I got home 5 minutes later, everything was working fine. Needless to say, it’s a wonder I didn’t have a stroke in the process.

  22. bpman says:

Hope ya enjoy your 12/21/12 Birthday MR. Not much goin’ on up here tonight. Waiting on a show to come on at 9pm. History channel. A show called ‘Decoded’. Never seen the show b4. Dunno really what its about, but we got St. Louis’ own Sylvia Longmire that appear as a guest. So I guerss I’ll watch & see what it’s all about. Later folks!

  23. parrotmom says:

Clucky sorry for the migraine today. Glad you are some better. Was told 2 hours ago The Inn (St. D) had a room. Ambulance was supposed to have been here at 6:00. One just backed in. PD’s room is above the ER entrance:)
Now just praying the ENT will be able to see him on Thursday. I may not like what I hear, but at least that part will be over and a new story to live.

  24. parrotmom says:

Clucky he is a good surgeon. PD’s problems were caused by a non reactive nursing staff. The ICCU nurses have been awesome. I know you can get a bad apple in anything.

  25. OldBopper says:

Home and absolutely stuffed. Our Christmas meal at church was wonderful! Goose, chicken, pork loin, and desserts galore! Don’t think there will be any ice cream tonight.

PM so glad you are able to get PD moved. I certainly understand why you couldn’t eat with us tonight.

The church is decorated for Christmas. We moved a piano this evening to make room for the little orchestra we will have for Christmas Eve services.

The invitation for the engagement announcement party arrived today. It’s going to be a doozy. Will be at a huge home on State Street near the Baptist Hospital. I was shocked when I saw 40 sponsors on the invitation. Last I knew there were going to be 20. We’re expecting about 200-250 people for the party. The clock’s ticking….the wedding will be here before we know it. For once, I’m looking forward to April 15, the day after the wedding.

  26. dhcoop says:

    Evenin! !

My nephew “D” is a fireman/EMT and he examined my ankle tonight. I’ve got fluid and such and there’s something about the posterior something that I sprained. He put me on heat for tonight and tomorrow is ice. I love having smart nephews!

  27. parrotmom says:

    Take care Coop :(

  28. parrotmom says:

They have him in the neuro area. He is very agitated and upset. Going to ICU to be watched closely tonight.

  29. OldBopper says:

Coop, hope it gets better fast.

Our carbon monoxide alarm sounded this evening. I took the batteries out and put them back in and it sounded again. Then we cut the gas off to the fireplace logs and opened the door to the screen porch for a while. I put new batteries in the detector and it hasn’t gone off since. We’ll cut the gas back on to the fireplace tomorrow and see what happens.

  30. Msblondie says:

PM glad they got ya’ll moved. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Hugs to you my friend.

Everyone have good nite… Gonna try to sleep a little.. This weather has my head going crazy…

  31. Airwolf says:

Hugs PM, I’m glad yall made the move.

    Good night, until tomorrow…………………………….

  32. parrotmom says:

Good morning. I wished the radar didn’t look so bad.

I am on my phone, but the time is correct on the post or did I not get enough sleep?

    Probably both!

  33. parrotmom says:

Ok the answer is in. Strange the time of the last couple of post were in line with my current time.

  34. OldBopper says:

Good soggy morning! Hope PD gets settled down soon.

No plans for today, the rain cancelled them all. Hope everybody has a safe commute to work this morning.

  35. Airwolf says:

Morning folks! Looks like today will be a washout. My old workplace is having a Christmas luncheon today! I’m going if at all possible.

Maybe today will be a better day for PD.

  36. Mrs. H says:

    Good morning.
    Got to get to work.
    I’ll check in later.

  37. Molly says:

Mornin. We’re having a Christmas luncheon today. 26 year old coworker from Ohio who is always bragging about her wonderful cooking and how everybody LOVES it and how old ladies in Scott County, MS want her Yankee recipes because their husbands prefer her cooking over theirs, but who has never proven her cooking prowess by bring anything to the office, “forgot” to bring her food for the luncheon today. Oh, yeah. I believe her stories.

  38. dhcoop says:

    Mornin

NASTY drive in this morning, but I made it safe and sound.

    Hugs and prayers, PM!

  39. OldBopper says:

    LOL about the Yankee cook!

Tested the batteries I removed from the carbon monoxide alarm last evening. One was bad. I think that is what caused the problem. Anyway, we’re gonna re-light the pilot on the gas logs this morning just to make sure it wasn’t that causing the alarm.

  40. msblondie says:

morning gang! I beat most the rain to the office. and just made it in from helping Mom get stuff from her car before the bottom fell out.
We having finger foods here today. got a ton of stuff.

Hope PD has a good day PM.. remember we are praying for you.

Everyone stay dry and have a great day!

  41. Mrs. H says:

Just was reminded that since our office is closed on Fridays, today is our last work day before Christmas, and therefore is a 1/2 day. We get to leave at noon!

  42. Clucky says:

I just want homemade fudge. Is that too much for a girl to ask for?
