We finished sooner than expected. I have 3-4 hours of work left to do and then trying to make it home tonight(about a 8hr drive).

Happy Christmas Eve! PQ is busy getting things ready for our Christmas Dinner. Just the two of us in the morning, then friends join us for dinner and the family gathers here for supper.
Got some last minute shopping to do. We plan to have lunch at Olive Garden. Headed to Church this evening at 5:30 and then home to watch the rest of the USM bowl game.
Here’s wishing all of you a merry and blessed Christmas. May the spirit of the Christ Child dwell within your hearts.
Several years ago we purchased an artificial tree with lights already on it. This year the lights have decided to go out on strand at a time. I’ve added new lights where the old burned out but the old ones keep burning out. We may have a light left burning by Christmas morning. After Christmas, I’m taking the “permanent” lights off, buying LED lights and hopefully solve the problem for a long time.

We had Christmas with my family last night. all had a good time.
Tonight is Christmas here with the girls. Tomorrow lunch with hubby’s family then take M to her dad’s. I am trying to start cooking for tonight and tomorrow.

We’ve got a few things to do today in preparation for our Christmas brunch tomorrow. First thing in the morning we’ll run out to Baby Darlings and have presents with Bear!
OB we have a prelit large tree. It’s about 5 years old with led lights. Never had one go out.
led lights are the only way to go. plus they do not emit any heat to speak of.
Best of luck OB with the tree lights. It may be a hassle and cheaper to buy a new one the day after Christmas. If you want to join that rush of folks.
Merry Christmas Eve! Been in the kitchen all morning. Surprised hubby with some sausage balls. He loves those things and I rarely make them. Got a couple of other things going for Christmas Eve dinner with my parents, and started on some things for Christmas dinner at home tomorrow. Kiddo is still sleeping soundly (@10:51 am). Must be nice.
OB, most of the lights on my prelit tree went out last year. Most of the top third works and part of the bottom third, none of the middle. I added a gazillion strands of lights to it. No money in the budget for a new tree, and this one is only 3 or 4 years old.

Ya’ll all have a good day with all your Christmas festivities and think about me as I have to work from 5:30-1:00 in the morning!! We are open until midnight!! Not company wide, but our district manager decided he wanted his stores to stay open. Of course he will be nice and cozy at home with his family!!

I posted early this morning on yesterday’s FFA.
The Christmas Spirit finally found me! I’ve got the tree up with the lights on it. I was going to decorate it, but since that is Chicklette’s favorite part,
PD had been moved to another room. So here we go again. They gave him some meds for anxiety and going to start him on a low dose anti-depressant because he is constantly worrying. He knows I have to leave shortly and I will begone for a couple hours, but I will be back. So he is good with that thought for now.
I will be going for lunch at his brothers tomorrow, just 3 of us. A far cry from the approximate 15 from 2 years ago.
Clucky was that the Christmas spirit or spirits you found? J/K, so glad you are feeling better.
I ran home then went to video some Christmas Lights. I have done this the past 2 years and could not refuse this year. I was almost through when I shut my car door only to realize all 3 keys to unlock the car were inside. Crap!!!!! Lucky for me the “Mrs.” called her preacher who was able to break in my car. I was so happy :)
