I can’t seem to shake the crud.

  4. Molly says:

Mornin. I’m still silent. I feel a little better today, but can’t make a sound. Throat is scratchy and I have a lot of sinus pressure. Could be worse.
Coop, hope you shake it soon.

  5. parrotmom says:

Prayers that you all start feeling better.

  6. parrotmom says:

  8. dhcoop says:

    Hey Barb! Where you been?

  9. Airwolf says:

Morning! Beautiful day in the hill country. Hope everyone has a good day.

  10. Molly says:

No, Coop, I have not been checked for strep. I’ve had it several times and this doesn’t feel like it. During the night Thursday night it did, but that feeling went away. Strep pain wouldn’t just go away. In between my Hall’s cough drops, it gets scratchy and I have a loose cough. Otherwise, I feel pretty good. I even went grocery shopping this morning.

Are any of you going out to ring in the new year tonight? This is the one night of the week when I don’t ever want to go anywhere. I saw in the paper that the ambulance service is giving rides to people who have been drinking and wondered if Bloggerman was going to be on duty.

I’ve had my nose in one book after another and played bridge a few times this week. My supplemental health insurance just got cancelled, so now I’ve got to figure out what to do from here. I’ve seen an ad on TV about a state assisted program and when I can find it, I’m going to check that out.

  12. OldBopper says:

LE, try calling the Division of Medicaid next week to inquire about supplemental coverage. Somehow, I think the program is under their tent.

Hope all you folks get better soon. We are NOT ringing in the New Year with a party. Somehow, I think the event gets too much publicity. I mean, new year, new week, new day…..they’re all important. But for all who want to celebrate, I wish you a wonderful time.

Went to Office Depot today to buy business supplies so I can get it in on this year’s taxes. Then played with the lights on the motorcycle and now my speedometer doesn’t work, but the electrical part is in the headlight housing and I may have crimped it when I put the light back in. After I check the light aiming, I’ll open up everything and fiddle with the speedometer connections.

Wishing all of you a better New Year filled with promise and happiness. God bless us everyone.

  13. OldBopper says:

Oh, AW and MrsH, I averaged 48 mpg on my trip. Not bad considering the speed I was at much of the time.

  14. Clucky says:

Happy end of 2011. Lord, I will be glad for this year to be over, but scared of who we might lose in the next year. I did get to see a pic of my kids great-grandmother holding her first great-grandchild. That was pretty awesome.

    • Clucky says:

Oops-great grandmother holding her first great-great grandchild.

PS Bloggerman now works with my ex in Meridian.

Coop, I’ve just been lurking lately. I’ve been not getting up early enough to log on and by the time I get off, I am pretty much brain dead!! I don’t think I have recovered from last week’s work and today was day 6 after 1 day off!! As Jerry Clower would have said “I is one tard doggy!”

  16. Crystalbutterfly says:

    evening all!
I have done my venturing out for the night. Hubby and I went to dinner – Bonasi – it was good we only had to wait about 10 minutes. We will now ring in the new year here at home.. watching the neighbors do fireworks and trying to keep the moo calm. He is not likin the fireworks at all.

Happy New Year to you all!

  18. cardinallady says:

let’s try this again. I’m at mom’s house and the kids are outside shooting fireworks.

It has been a lovely day. 2011 is almost history. I’m looking forward to 2012. Going to do more fishing this year. My lake opens up again and so I can go around there. I told CardinalSon I was going to call him from the middle of the lake in his boat one day while he is away at college. He didn’t give me a too nice a look.

I am so greatful for all of you. I’m looking forward to the fun and mayhem we can have together this coming year.

  19. Airwolf says:

I’ll say Happy New Year now because I’ll be snoozing when it rolls in!

  20. parrotmom says:

Happy New Year to everyone too. I will probably be up, but not for all the hoopla. PD is asleep at last and resting, finally. He is running a low temp, and they have started some antibiotics. Is on the first of three by IV. Soon to be 10:30.

Barb, I hope you get some days off soon so you can rest up.

Clucky may 2012 treat you better and you get some relief from your pain also.

CardinalLady good to hear from you tonight. Enjoy those fishing trips in cardinalson’s boat— hee, hee.

MsB is that Bonasi in Clinton?

    Happy 2012 to all!!!

  21. dhcoop says:

    Happy New Year!

  22. OldBopper says:

Good morning! Happy New Year! Headed to early church in a few without a hangover. Maturity has its advantages.

  23. Molly says:

Happy New Year. Neighbors on all sides bought what must have been thousands of dollars worth of fireworks. It was loud. Pups didn’t mind it too much – just jumped a few times at the louder booms.
Day 3 of silence. Don’t think I’ve ever had laryngitis this long. Feel a little worse today than yesterday.

  24. Airwolf says:

Happy New Year! Off to church in a bit!

  25. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!
Molly my neighbors were like your they were shooting fireworks for hours started just after dark and shot until about 12:15, and some of them shook the house, my poor old dogs just layed there they both are just about hard of hearing but the loud ones had them looking up to see what was going on.

  26. msblondie says:
