first again!!
hey all!
well back to work today wish I had enought time to have been able to take the whole12 weeks off.
Good morning everyone 6:20 am overslept. If felt good. It seems my grandfather clock has stopped sounding. I need to check that out this weekend. I know there is a switch to silience it, but I have not moved it. Hmmm!!!
Mawnin’ y’all. Hope everybody has an uneventful drive in today.
Looks mighty foggy out there.
Good morning folks.
Mighty foggy here in s. la.
I found out yesterday that I lost a distant cousin(but close to the family) on new Year’s Day. She was visiting her grown daughters and grandchildren in Dallas when she died suddenly at the dinner table. Doctor had given her a very good report on a check-up just last month. I can’t make the service for having to work. Older blues-brother can’t make because he’s having cataract surgery today.
CB, I hope things work out like you want it. I heard about the lay-offs from a close family member that works there. She’s very concerned that there will be more. Yet the news and the government keeps telling me things are getting better.
Meanwhile, the well I’m on is in very near crisis mode. Everybody talking in real short sentences around here. Lots of colorful metaphors being used. I’m keeping a very low profile.
I’m sorry about your cousin, Blues. I know what you mean about keeping a low profile. Keep up the good work.
Blues sorry about your cousin that has to be hard on the family
I have heard that they may lay off more people I know in our department we have people that sit around and do very little work but everybody thinks they do so much–oh well I am trying to let God be in control. If UMC would not spending money remodeling all the time we would be in better shape
I’m so sorry about your cousin. Hugs, hun!
morning gang! hope everyone has a great day.
another busy day
For Clucky. If I am not here when you get here, I will put the dress form in the carport for you to pick up.
If you decide you are not coming this way, just let me know.
Mornin
It was a very foggy drive in, for sure.
Morning everybody! Red Bird here.
My dear new editor has been sick with this froggy throated stuff … aaaannnnd since I’ve been sharing some ‘quality’ time with him in his office training him how to lay out pages on the computer, he has shared his germs. Grrrrrrr! Some things shouldn’t be shared.
Sorry, Card. Too bad he didn’t keep his germs to himself. I can tell you in no uncertain terms that this froggy-throated mess is no fun. A couple of days there I didn’t even have froggy sounds, nothing but a whisper.
sorry to hear that CL
Mornin. No fog at the Rez when I left at 7:45. May have been earlier, but I didn’t see it.
Blues, so sorry about your cousin. Sudden, unexpected deaths are the hardest.
Morning.
Very foggy here. I was amazed at the number of oncoming vehicles without headlights on.
Morning friends. It was foggy earlier but it’s burned off!
Blues I’m sorry for your loss. CB good luck today!
thanks AW
Good morning, MRBA!
I realized last night that staying up for 23 hours straight isn’t as easy as it used to be. I found a Maxine wall calendar for 2012 yesterday and I love it already. Did I tell you that I now know someone who looks just like the real life Maxine – hair and everything? I automatically smile every time I look at her.
The eldest and I and her future MIL (and maybeFSIL) are going to a bridal expo in Pensacola Sunday. Tickets are $12 at the door, $10 in advance. BUT for us to get them in advance online, there is a $6 convenience fee. I’m thinking it’s WAY more convenient for my wallet to pay $12 at the door!
This FSIL is her future sister-in-law, not to be confused with my future son-in-law, who is her brother!
Makes my head hurt :-)
Clucky, the decorator answered my question (do you know anyone in the Jackson area that appraises antiques?”) with a question…”what type of antiques? Different people specialize in different types. Are they American or European, English, French, VIctorian, Turn of the Century, What wood?” She says different people specialize in different things. Good grief.
Flitting through. I went home and laid down and slept for an hour at lunch time. I feel kind of like crawling around now. You ever seen a red bird crawl on her claws and wings?
Incidentally, I asked CardinalSon how the first day of college went. “It was different,” he said. “Four hours of lecturing and note taking.” Welcome to the real world of learning, son. :)
Sorry about your cousin, Blues. Pray the family will be surrounded by God’s peace.
I am in need of a large chocolate chip peppermint shake from chick-fil-a. with extra whip cream and cherries… it has been that kind of day.
phone lines acting crazy and dealling with the most monotone tech ever. doing testing and training for shows next week, inventory, new catalog drops, and my normal IT stuff…
everyone have a good evening.
Evening!!!
Hopefully have clock working. It just went off 7 times. Now I need to stop it until it is 7:00.
Evenin!
Still coughing, but feeling ALMOST close to normal. Whatever that is…
Blues, so sorry about your cousin.
CB, hope your first day back was good…well, at least tolerable! Sorry about the layoffs. I can’t remember when they didn’t have some kind of construction going on!!
CL, sorry you’ve caught the froggy mess. It was no fun when I had it.
Coop, what IS normal?! But glad you are feeling better.
LE, I aspire to BE Maxine!! Love that grouchy old lady!!
