The water alarm in the basement sounded about 5:15 this morning. We need about a week or so without rain.

I see where they are considering having the governor’s swearing inside the Capitol.

Hope all of you drive safely this morning and arrive without incident.

Happy soggy Tuesday :( I hope everyone has a safe drive in and a good day at work.

I shook hands with Steven Palazzo yesterday in Jack’s (a hardware store in Lucedale). He looks much younger in person than he does in advertising.

Morning friends! Rain still coming, makes for a gray day.

Daddy has a doctors appointment this afternoon and I’m playing
    chauffeur.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Headed to the DMV today….ughh..a lot more hoops to jump thru here, to be able to get plates on a vehicle. On the bright side, it’s a beeeeeeauutiful day out there!! how nice to be outside today. Blue Skies gotta love ’em.

  8. Molly says:

Mornin. Roll Tide! Non-Alabama fans may not have enjoyed the game last night, but we Alabama fans LOVED it!
My poor pups have to go get “fixed” in the morning. I really didn’t want to do it, but the shelter where we got them requires it and we’ve put it off as long as we can.

Watching the inauguration in the House Chamber. What a mess! Oh and it quit raining just before the event was to begin.

  10. OldBopper says:

Guy Hovius did an excellent job singing the Lord’s Prayer.

  11. OldBopper says:

The Governor delivered an excellent speech. Now they have managed to squeeze the Mississippi Mass Choir into the House Chamber. The 19 gun salute which follows should be real interesting.

  12. Mrs. H says:

Went to the florist in town with the eldest to talk about wedding flowers. They set us up an appointment for a consultation for next week.

Are you kidding? We have to have an appointment for a consultation? In Lucedale? We can’t talk now? Monday, it is. *sigh*

  13. Airwolf says:

    Where’s Blues?

  14. parrotmom says:

Probably taking cover from the big shots on site?

MrsH that does seem strange to have to schedule an appointment in a small town.

    Here comes more rain!

  15. Barb says:

    Evening all.
    Alabama won!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!

  16. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

WTH is up with Haley Barbour pardoning over 200 people, including multiple murderers? !? Am I missing something? ?

  17. parrotmom says:

Several are wondering what the heck?

  18. Clucky says:

Nobody will have to pardon me. I went to sleep first last night, and tonight, he is wearing the CPAP!!! Yay!

Spent the day cleaning off my desk and (bless her heart) passing along unfinished business to my partner in crime. The agency nurse will be with me tomorrow for orientation. I pray she’s a likable person. If I made was she’s making, I’d be smiling, even if I had to shovel crap all day long.

Surgeon’s office to call tomorrow with surgery time. Wish me luck-if I have to be there at some unGodly hour. I swear I will drive over tomorrow night, check in at midnight or sleep in the garage. When it’s over an hour drive to the hospital, and my not being able to crawl out of bed, it’s going to be rough.

Sweet dreams. Coop, you are about as graceful as I am…please don’t fall down the stairs!! Congrats on the fantastic grades. I pray my girl will buckle down and start meeting her potential. Thing 2 started back to college Monday, this time in academics, business major. Praying he does well.

  19. Legal Eagle says:

Clucky, good luck with the surgery. I hope you finally get some pain relief with absolutely no complications. And I let BE go to bed before I do so I won’t disturb him, so I know what you mean.

I had set my clock to get up this morning in time to run up to the Pearl senior center to get our lunch tickets, but for some reason it didn’t go of. I woke up about 8:30, threw some clothes on and got up there in time to get tickets anyway. Then we had to do the Wal-Mart thing in the rain this afternoon.

BE got a chance to go fishing tonight and I fell asleep for a while and woke up in time to see Last Man Standing and Work It and Unforgettable. BE’s back and he and his fishing buddy caught some fish and he got out of the house for a while, but since I accidentally fell asleep earlier, I will probably be up for a while.
