CARTOON: The flyover

Yesterday was the big day for Phil Bryant. And by the end of it, all anyone was talking about was the over-200 pardons former Governor Barbour dumped on the public as he was heading out off office.  Were some of those names deserving? I’m sure they were. But some of them will leave people’s heads scratching (and even worse, in fear) for a long time yet to come.

Let’s go pardoning!

Haley had to know that pardoning those people was WRONG! He wouldn’t be hiding out today if he thought it was the proper and DECENT thing to do. How dare he!!!

    I still can’t believe it.

And this cartoon is perfect. Haley dumped a big pile of crap all over the state when he left.

    I just don’t understand why…

I supported Barbour while he was Gov. He led the State well during the Katrina aftermath. I have no words other than extremely disappointed with the pardons and the way that he didn’t seek any of the victims input on them. I will remember that! The cartoon hit the nail on the head!

Words just aren’t enough to express the feelings that most Mississippians have had the last few days over the actions of former Gov. Haley Barbour…
What respect I had for him as our Govenor has been trampled by his actions and his thumbing his nose at this great state as he left office.
I do however know beyond a shadow of doubt that Gov. Phil Bryant will NEVER be found guilt of such. He is a man of integrity, strong faith and moral character that this state will see leadership over the next four years of the likes it hasn’t seen in quite some time. Thank you Phil for your commitment to this state and for your love of God and country first and formost.
