Let’s try that again. “three months ago on the 11th he almost went home to his heavenly home. Praise God!!!!! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. He still has a ways to go and short term memory doesn’t heal nor does some blindness from a stroke, but he is here and he is mine. God please give me the strength to continue on with the daily struggles that we will face, but life is good and I will continue to give God the Praise even when PD and I but heads (keeping fingers crossed that I will not forget that).

  2. parrotmom says:

Gee!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a trail of birds flyin northwest that was that long before. Glad I was not walking at the time I may have been bombatded.

Good morning! Bless you all! PQ has gone to McComb and I am getting started on taxes. Got to have them done early this year because my accountant died a few weeks ago and I have to find somebody new. And… after planning a wedding reception for 500, I need to know how much cash on hand I’m going to have just in case.

Hope everybody has a wonderful Friday and a better weekend.

    Mornin!

PM, I saw a string yesterday afternoon that seemed to go all the way from Jackson to Byram. It was awesome.

    Everyone have a great day!

  5. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all have a great friday!
PM prayers continue as progress is made. Maybe more so that PD is coming home.

  6. Airwolf says:

Morning! PM, I’m thrilled for you and PD.

Daddy was not pleased when Mom wenty home yesterday! But she was exhausted sand had not left him since Saturday! PT is starting today, I pray the the will and strength is there to get him back on his feet, mobile and home. I have to go get Mom, doesn’t drive, and let her visit with Daddy.

    Have a great Friday!

Mornin. WE neeed a prayer time.

Dear Lord Jesus, as we all look at this gray Friday in different places facing different problems it is such a comfort to know that You are here. You have your angels of mercy hovering about us ministering to us. Thank you for your love and comfort.

Please dear God, hold up Parrotmom as she brings her dear husband home today. May every day be a day of refreshment for them. Through all the struggles allow them to fall into each other’s arms and gain strength one from the other but mostly from You.

AW is truly needing strength as he gently helps his parents through this rough patch too. Give him strength and may he view each new day as a gift from you with his dear parents.

And Marshall, God, I CAN’T imagine pushing myself to the limit like he is. God PLEASE be with that dear man as he is bent on this mission. May he not collapse through all this.
Be with Clucky too Lord as she is trying to have patience with being off of work. Allow her body to recover and give her a renewal of her mind through this time.

Lord, I know there are many MANY more needs within this lovely family of mine. I don’t know all of them, but YOU DO!!

Draw us all to your great heart and we will be careful to give you the glory and praise! Thank you ever so much. In Jesus’ precious name. AMEN

  8. cardinallady says:

Marshall, I surely hope you draw a gulf of America cartoon.

  9. Clucky says:

CardinalLady made me cry. Bless you, sweet woman.

Coop, your comment on yesterday’s FFA about the Scrunchie cracked me up!

PM, I saw your missed call and voicemail waaaay too late to call back. Hugs, hon, and I hope everything goes well for you and PD. Call me if you need me-if I’m awake, I’ll answer. I’ve discovered the joy of turning my phone volume waaay down so I can sleep without the dings from emails and the like since I am not on call for the first time in 7 years! I had my appt last week. Chicklette went with me-she thinks he is “HOT”…and methinks she is correct. Heh. I slept all day yesterday, and laying down today after going to the offi e to fax a form to corporate and visiting for a few. I’m “stove up” for lack of a better term. Mr. Fab, I’m quite certain, has torn his rotator cuff but is already flat out refusing surgery, going to the dr., etc. hard-headed man.

AW, I hope your Dad rehabs well. He mqy have a hard time being out of his element. When I think of these couples that have been married for 50-60 years and one goes in the hospital, I always think of a song by Kathy Mattea that came out around 1990, called “Where Have You Been?” beautiful song.

OB, Meet The Press is a great. And. They used to play every Wednesday night at the Neshoba County Fair at the Pavilion. They have that incredible Big Band sound. Yes, I love bog band, Sinatra, etc.
500 at the reception? Dang, that’s a lot of Blue Bell :)

    Y’all play nice..
    Later.

  10. Clucky says:

Bog band? Sounds like something you’d hear on “Swamp
    People.”

  11. Clucky says:

PPS: Coop, Wednesday you made the comment that we “used” to joke about air filters. You got that right..now when I see them for sale at Wal-Mart, I don’t know whether to cry or sing “Precious Memories.”

I’ve been doing a little tidying up -and found one of those anack bags of popcorn from our wedding and laughed out loud. The dogs looked at me kInda funny. Sigh.

  12. Clucky says:

And now y’all think my house must look like something you would see on “Hoarders.” Not Quite.

    I’m lonesome, can’t you tell?

  13. Old Bopper says:

My daughter and future SIL picked out the band. After I read some reviews and saw a sample play list, I agreed. Looking forward to a good time. We’re still working on actual seating arrangements. We will have the entire club and may have to put the band outside. I want the band inside but space will be tight and we do want a large enough dance floor. The Old Capitol Inn would have been a better facility, but we’re committed now. If the band goes outside, we’ll have to put up a canopy for them and lay down a dance floor on the concrete. But then we will have to contend with the weather. Lord, please bring on April 15…(the day after).

Hmmmm, Blue Bell? I like that idea. We could taste all the flavors!

  14. msblondie says:

lunch – Penns. It was catered today for us having a great 4th Quarter. Now I am stuffed.

  15. Marshall Ramsey says:

Spoke to a reunion of the Fordice Administration members and showed many of the old cartoons. That was so much fun. Saw Governor’s Bryant and Barbour. Asked Barbour what he has been up to since he left office.

  16. dhcoop says:

Today is our short day. I’m outa here!

    TTFN

  17. parrotmom says:

A total of 16 medications some to take more than once a day, a couple only take if blood pressure above a certain number, oh wow—my head is a spinning. We have a fire in the fire place and everyone is happy especially the Parrot.

  18. parrotmom says:

What a nice prayer CLady, thanks so much for praying for all of us.

CLucky I was calling to check on you the other night. So glad you are enjoying the silence of a phone and not being on call. I think the doc knows it, LOL!!!
The “Air filters” started while I was lurking and I agree with you.

Hope everyone stays warm this weekend, you northerners keep your water dripping to keep them from freezing.

AW prayers for your mom and dad separation after that many years does get tough.

  19. msblondie says:

so much for a quiet afternoon.. I have been busy busy. Knocking out some projects that needed to be done – love finding I already did most the work on another project that i could copy to an existing one and make a few little tweak to make it work.

well everyone have a great evening and stay warm.. i am wrapping up so i can get out of here. off monday M has a college day up at Delta State and I am going with her. Get the rest of details so I know the expense I am looking at.

  20. dhcoop says:

I’m so excited!! A is bringing Poppy down to spend the night with me in Gtown! We are going to have girls night! Now excuse me while I go baby proof the living room! LOL!

  21. Barb says:

    CLady, a beautiful prayer!!
    PM, glad ya’ll are home!
Coop, have fun with your girls’ night!!
AW, sorry your parents have to be separated. Maybe rehab will go so well that it won’t be for long.

  22. Legal Eagle says:

I completed my current project too. I finished Stephen King’s “11/22/63,” all 849 pages of it, but the pages turned at quite a fast pace. I would highly recommend it.

We went to Wal-Mart this afternoon to stock up and I get mad every time I go. Remember the large frozen rising crust pizzas of theirs I recommended? Well, they have gone up from $4.25 to $4.98 and today they were out of supreme. The empty holes in the shelves are what make me mad every time I shop there.

I don’t have to be anywhere until Thursday of next week. BE has a doctor’s appointment Wednesday. Until then, I may snuggle in and enjoy winter. It should be over by the time I emerge. And I need to go to demand and watch the pilot of The River.

I am delighted for y’all, Parrotmom, that PD got to come home today. I hope you two and Clucky and Mr. Fab and Corn Pop and Orville are popping popcorn like crazy very soon and those like Old Bopper and Prom Queen and a few more who never slowed down in the corn popping department keep it up and hope all are looking forward to our 4th annual soiree.

  23. Clucky says:

Our. Boys high school team won district tonight!

Juicy rumors flying around about a student & teacher getting caught today. Y’all should see it on the news if it’s true.

    G’ Nite y’all.

  24. OldBopper says:

Brrrrrr, ggggood mmmorning y’all. Looking forward to the warmer Monday they say we have coming.
