    Mornin!

Looks like we need to be weather aware today. Stay safe!

  2. blues4you says:

    Good morning.

After 20 days on the job, we are back to the point we were at the day I arrived. Today I start a new data base and do this all again. I’ll be here another 20-30 days.

  3. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’. Blues that sounds pretty good for you.

Haven’t watched the weather this morning but last night David was forecasting some severe storms and “Bad News” Barbie was full filling the Mayan prediction. Either way, it sounds like some tough weather ahead for this evening.

  4. msblondie says:

morning gang! Happy Friday! Well the pollen is here.. along with all the runny itchy eyes and sneezing. The good news I made it through “winter” without being majorly sick – a first in a long long time for me.

  5. Molly says:

Mornin. My blue car is now a powdery yellow. And I think my head may be full of yellow stuff, too. Oh, well, at least there’s SOMETHING in my head today. I am SO glad it’s Friday. Love my job, but I am sure ready for the weekend!

  6. parrotmom says:

Morning. Finished up on paying a couple of bills. I called on a medical bill from 11-8-11 to see if it had been sent to Medicare and to ask about the dated of 11-8-11. PD did not go into the hospital till the 9th for surgery. Turned out they changed the middle initial from L to R. L is his son’s middle initial and even thou they were given an address by changing it to R it was mailed to us. The ambulance (AMR) billing did the same thing but did not change the middle initial. At least we have those 2 straigtened out I wonder how many more I will get.

Everyone be safe and have a good day, sorry for the pollen playing havoc on everyone. I have a rash on my right wrist area—it could be poison ivy it doesn’t look like previous cases but it itches like one. Hmmm!!! if it is had to come from one of my kittie girls since I haven’t beem anywhere other than a hospital. Go figure–that is how allergic I am.

Coop, you have a friend that you have cat sat for in the past that answered to a whistle. Both my kittie girls come a running when I go whistling for them. Itty Bitty tickles me the most as she comes trotting at moderate speed she is “Brrrriiiinnnnggggg” all the way. Tinker Bell just runs and hops into the door. They bring so much pleasure until about 4:30 when Itty is ready to play or go outside. Tinker Bell is just laid back and is happy to be in. Although she will play she could care less on the outside till the sun is out.

  7. Airwolf says:

Morning! It’s coming one downpour after another. We need to keep an eye to the sky!

  8. cardinallady says:

Good morning! I must have been in exile the past two days because I could not get Marshall’s blog to come up. It’s hard to type this morning because my claws are drawn up in withdrawal.

Was a rough day yesterday. The girl that works for us got news that her brother shot himself. So two of the ladies went to Tupelo with her, one driving her car and the other following to bring the first lady back to Pontotoc. He is holding his own. Sad situation.

My brother left last night to go to get his son from the six months he spent in the RID program and on his way he got word that his pastor died. Is going to be a joyful and yet somber home coming for his boy. Please pray for our families.

  9. Legal Eagle says:

Morning! I got a call yesterday saying I was needed in Brandon today, so off I go for the 5th day straight. Maybe it won’t be weathering until after 3:00 or 3:30 so I can get back dry.

  10. Airwolf says:

    And the thunder rolls!

  11. dhcoop says:

I have a new favorite afternoon sweet. Smear a little butter on a flour tortilla, sprinkle with a little sugar and cinnamon, and run it under the broiler till it’s toasted. YUM

  12. cardinallady says:

that weather is beginning to shake loose. Yall stay safe.

Coop … yummy. LOVE anything with cinnamon and sugar on it. :)

  13. parrotmom says:

    Prayers Cardinaady for everyone.

I met Molly’s dad this morning and had a very nice visit.

No change in PD as far as the head trauma goes. Now we have pneumonia, low hemoglobin and hemacult (sp). Running fever–infectious disease has been called in. They are talking about putting the trach back in. It feels like the last roller coaster we were on. I didn’t like the ride that time and not going to like it any better the 2nd time around.

Prayers for everyone and may the weather not be so bad, but as warm as it is makes it scary.

  14. dwb810 says:

PM, don’t know what to say. I think about you and PD several times a day. Stay strong. Love you

  15. msblondie says:

everyone have a good evening and weekend.

PM know you and PD are in my thoughts and prayers.

  16. OldBopper says:

PM, you and PD are in my thoughts and prayers several times each day. ((((PM))))

  17. Molly says:

PM, Pop said he enjoyed his visit with you. I guess my description of him was pretty good since you seemed to recognize him when he got off the elevator. :)
I’m sorry things are taking a turn for the worse.

  18. dhcoop says:

    Evenin

PM, sending you lots of love, hugs and prayers!

  19. parrotmom says:

thanks all, tomorrow is a new day and maybe it want seem this way. I have never liked roller coasters.

I think of CornPop and Orville a lot their situation is so unknown as mine is. Prayers for them.

    • CornPop says:

AND, prayers heading back your way, PM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think of you and PD a lot, too.

This is for all of us:

      “The Lord bless thee and keep thee;
The Lord make his face shine upon thee,
      And be gracious unto thee;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee,
      And give thee peace.” Amen.

  20. Clucky says:

    Amen.

AW? And the lightning strikes. I’ve been watching cloud to ground lightning for 45 minutes. Hella storms rolling through East Central MS and the Jackson area, and all points in between now.

    Love y’all.

  21. Mrs. H says:

    6:28 am Sat

Sorry I missed you good people yesterday. I spent the morning at the health department with the eldest. NOT wedding related, but school related. She’s entering a teaching certificate program at USM and needed a copy of her immunization record. The computers were down at the health department and so they were doing everything by hand. I think they are out of practice at the manual method. They couldn’t find her card. I gave them her sisters’ names and they went back and voila, there it was. Then they copied all the information onto a form and had to take it to the nurse for a signature. 2 hours it took for this. Imagine if there had been a bunch of people there!

  22. parrotmom says:

8:10 am been awake since 5:30. Itty Bitty never made it in the house before the storm hit. She was there when I opened the door. She was dry including paws. Hungry as a bear.
Soon to head to the vets office on Stat Street to get the Parrots meds and stop by petsmart for some food. Everyone have a good Saturday. The wind outside is not nice.

  23. OldBopper says:

8:08 am Sat. Hope everybody survived the weather last evening. We only watched pre-recorded programs to avoid interference from Barbie and David. Will delete programs recorded last evening. I told PQ last night how amazing it is that those in our generation survived without knowing about every cloud, lightning strike, and piece of hail to fall from the sky. We were only told it would be bad weather and we had enough sense to protect ourselves without having to be told what to do. I do appreciate the weather sirens that warn us of possible tornadoes.

Planning a trip to McComb. The Samsung TV we bought for FIL in 2009 crapped out. After reading up on it, I may be able to repair it. But, bought him a new Vizio and will take it to him this morning. After buying the new TV, I Googled problems with it and found about the same thing. Between two and three years old it appears they crap out too. The Sony I bought five or six years ago is still doing the job. Our youngest has it now.

If it is as pretty as they say it will be tomorrow, Boule and I may venture into the six southwest counties left to touch.

Prayers continue for all in need. Smiles and hugs to all!

    • Airwolf says:

I have a Hitachi 42 that’s about 5 years old, LG 42, and a Vizio 32. I haven’t had any problems with mine. The Hitachi had really bad reviews.

  24. parrotmom says:

Save travels OB, so sorry about the TV I would be devastated if our Samsung like yours was to crap out. I will have it paid off in November if not sooner.

  25. Airwolf says:

Morning friends. Pretty chilly in the hill country this morning. 38 is cold after 85 yesterday. The storms passed without any damage on my hill.

I hope everyone has a good day. Prayers for all.

  26. Mrs. H says:

5 of the 7 bridesmaids will be staying at our house for the bridal shower this weekend. There was a massive room-cleaning effort by the 2 who actually live here and would be called upon to share quarters. Part of that effort included cleaning the turtle habitat (40-gallon tank) in El’s room. In the process of opening the window, I managed to smash the eldest’s finger between the upper pane and the lower pane. Then as El was going out the back door, she closed her finger in the door and managed to slice a piece of fingertip about the size of the head of a thumbtack. OUCH! She thought it was just smashed until she noticed all the blood. Which left the eldest and me to do all the icky, slimy work. I hope those turtles are happy with the housecleaning.

I hope the rest of the day is uneventful, at least in an emergency medical sort of way.

    • parrotmom says:

Oweeee!! Not only share the love, but the pain also. Glad no stitches were needed.

      • Mrs. H says:

I’m not sure stitches would have worked for this injury. It was pretty nasty looking. I’m wondering if at some point, that little circle that contains most of her fingerprint will have to be snipped off.

And now that I’ve completely grossed most of you out, I’ll leave it at that!

  27. parrotmom says:

Interesting MrsH you didn’t gross me out. Last Sunday I watched them stitch PD’s head and Intubate him. Maybe I missed my calling.

  28. Molly says:

Ouch! I’m okay hearing (or reading) about bloody injuries, but not so good at seeing them. When Kiddo was 5, she fell on the playground and had to have stitches in her chin. The wound was badly scraped and deep. As she was waiting for the numbing meds to work, I was feeling quite queazy. Finally, she said, “Mama, I think you need to go get some air!” And she was right. I splashed water on my face and was okay, but there were a couple of times I thought I might hit the floor. I definitely do not belong in the medical field!

  29. OldBopper says:

6:30 am, Sunday. Mawnin’ y’all. Nippy out this morning. To early church in a few and possibly a ride to six southwest counties afterwards. Depends on how cold it really feels out there.

Hope all of you have a blessed day.

  30. blues4you says:

    Good morning. 06:45

Thinking about PM/PD this morning. And CornPop & Orville.
