Thursday Free-For-All

I got back from Washington, D.C. last night at about 11:45. While it was a blessing to wake up in my own bed, I could have used a little more sleep. 5 a.m. came mighty early.

It’s good to be home, though.

    Welcome back, Boss!

Absolutely beautiful outside this morning. Just a little crispness in the air.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Purshasing the 2nd ever big gift for PD and myself. The first was our birthday in 2006 when he picked out his/our 4 wheeler. Today I purchase our cemetery marker for what will be our 28th anniversary on Saturday the 12th. Strange to be the year that it actually lands on the same day.

    Hey folks.

Been watching two huge Map Turtles (yeah I looked’em up) lay eggs in neighbor’s flower bed. Seeing one or two cruise through the hood evry day now.

    Hang in there, PM.

Mawnin’ again. Glad you’re back Boss. All packed for my trip, just need to gas up before heading to Vicksburg. Goodness, I remember when I made my first trip to Vicksburg on Boule. Been over several times since then.

I think the trip to Arkansas will be a shade over 300 miles. That’s just a easy Saturday ride for Boule but it’s a long, long ride for three of the bikes in our convoy. We should have good weather for the trip up and iffy for the trip back with a possibility of rain on Saturday. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Morning, working on graduation section today. Got the pictures fixed now I must type more than 300 names. Yay me! Typing names is not my favorite activity. Perhaps I won’t make too many mistakes.

Parrotmom, I love you dearie. It was so good to talk to you last Saturday, wish we had more time. I’ve got to make a trip down there and just make the circuit of everyone’s house and visit an hour at a time.

Clucky, my confederate rose looks good. I planted that “other” plant like the one I brought you this morning.

I need to remember to tell Mom & Dad that you now have a start from what they passed on to Clucky. They’ll love that!

  9. cardinallady says:

Flying back through, y’all please pray that someone finds this Mayes fella that did the horrific killing. Folks in these parts are a little unsettled over that.

Afternoon , I had a team conference withe the staff at the nursing home this morning! Nothing earth shattering, Daddy is still showing small improvements.

I’ve been on my mower ever since I returned home. Great day to work outside, low temp and very low humidity.

  11. parrotmom says:

Blues that had to be interesting watching the turtles. I like to watch animal shows just think you could have given a play by play. One scoop of dirt moved, 5 minutes later another scoop moved. Lol!

  12. parrotmom says:

OB safe travels to you all.

  13. parrotmom says:

Good news AW about your dad.

I agree so much CLady on finding the man and the two girls. One day maybe we will get to see each other for a longer visit.

  14. Mrs. H says:

    Hooray! connectivity has been restored!

  15. parrotmom says:

So that is what happened to you. Glad you are back MrsH.

I am not sure if everyone heard this or not – Tuesday after there was a wreck on I55 N – just below the High School (Terry) arond the Wynndale exit. It involved 3 kids from the school – 2 juniors and a Sophomore (the driver). One of the juniors had to be air lifted to the hospital and was criticial. The other is in stable condition and the sophomore just minor injuries but is home. M just called me – she said the one that was criticial has died. Please remember this family and the kids at Terry.

  17. parrotmom says:

So sad MsB. Is it like 10 students in the past 12 years from Terry?

    • msblondie says:

something like that. it has been a lot.. most happen there on 55 – kids just not paying attentation or wanting race, or something.

I haven’t been able to type and have it show up on screen since I got home from the Thursday bridge game. I knew BE fixed that problem one time before and I finally asked him what he did. He said follow the keyboard line and see if it has gotten loose where it’s plugged into the hard drive. I did and it was and now I’m back.

  19. msblondie says:

had M’s last choir concert tonight. it was good and sad at the same time. They are graduating 45 out of 145 this year – it is leaving a big hole for them to fill.

Found something funny tonight at concert – one of M’s good friend’s mom and I went to school together and were friends. I had only meet this child’s father and step-mother over the years so didn’t know her mom. In the 5 years M’s and this child been friends this is the first I have seen the mom. Small world we live in.

  20. Airwolf says:

Our kidnapping goon is dead and the two girls are safe!

    • parrotmom says:

I just heard that on the news at 10:10 pm . Glad the two girls are nos safe. Prayers for them in all that they may have endured and for there loss of family.

  21. Clucky says:

    Hola, and Goodnight.
