Saturday Free-For-All

Pepsi Pops was delayed by rain and electrical problems — but the show went on!  It was a great night and thanks to the MSO for allowing me to once again be part of a special evening!

    Mornin!

I’m about to start making moves towards getting ready to head north for the weekend. Felt good to sleep this morning.

Looking forward to tonight with the family!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning, just lazing around drinking coffee! Rain is moving in and may wash out Mothers Day! Stay dry folks and enjoy your weekend.

Good morning everyone. Been about doing not much of nothing. I went to the cemetery and read my anniversary card to my love. Side by side whether here in person or only in spirit, it is our 28th. No big plans to leave home today especially with the rains moving in. Coop enjoy your weekend and eveyone do the same.

    Busy day for everyone!

I’m sorry. I thought I said hello this morning, but apparently not…
I’m making burlap roses for the ends of the pews along the center aisle. : )

I can’t wait to see pictures MrsH, of course after the wedding.

Flitting through … and I’m glad I did. Mrs. H, Burlap roses … hmmm … I think I can envision it, but you must post pictures and instructions. Sounds fun.

I’ve been cutting out roses myself. We have a fabulous color printer so I pullled a rose photo from our Metro server and put eight of them on a page and printed two copies (16 roses in all) for my Sunday School kids.

I always insist they make mother’s day cards for their mom’s during Sunday school on that day. They have fun. This year I thought I’d help them out with some pretty red roses, a poem and Thanks Mom and I Love you written in pretty red scripty font. I’ll let them choose the color marbled construction paper they want and cut it pretty for them before they begin.

    Alright, I’ve gotta run now.

    It’s raining here too.

I’ve been sitting here all day long holding my breath. I sure would hate for Joe Nichols to miss seeing me tonight. I just looked at the radar and it’s showing nothing coming from Texas or Louisiana even though the weather forecast says 100% chance of thunderstorms on and off for the rest of the day. I would hate to have to put on my Brandon Day t-shirt and watch Joe Nichols on youtube.

  9. Mrs. H says:

I posted some pictures of the roses on my FB in a private album, but I included everyone that I had included in my MRBA list. Let me know if you’re here but not there….

  10. parrotmom says:

Well hopefully the rain is over for the rest of the evening so you all can go to Brandon or Flowood’s events tonight. Enjoy!

  11. parrotmom says:

MrsH how creative on the burlap roses. Who would have thought :)

Oh, we had a blast! We got over to the school in Brandon where everyone parks to catch the shuttle bus at 7:00 p.m. and there was only one other car in the lot. When we got on the bus, the bus driver said he had been there since 8:30 this morning and had taken only one other person to Brandon Day. Skylar Layne put in an appearance and told us she is leaving at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow to back to Hollywood. Joe Nichols was adorable. He kept throwing guitar picks out to the audience and I swear he looked me right in the eyes, sailed a guitar pick over the crowd and it landed right in front of me. I jumped up and grabbed it before the crowd in front of me turned and got it first. It has his name stamped on it and did I mention that he is so adorable? One of the songs he sang was one of his hits, “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” It rained for 45 minutes or so, but we had umbrellas, so it was all good.

    Mornin! Happy Mother’s Day!

  14. parrotmom says:

Morning everyone! Happy Mother’s day to all the Mothers today. May you all here from your children young and old.

The tIme is approximately 7:30 am.

  15. parrotmom says:

Cool when will Poppy be one?

  16. Airwolf says:

Happy Mothers Day to all you Moms. I’m blessed to still have mine.

  17. parrotmom says:

I think it is the younger generation that doesn’t really understand how blessed you are to still have that mom or dad in your mote mature years. I know too some of the younger ones do get it too! My mom left me In 1988 and my dad in 1999. The one thing I can offer PD’s children is it isn’t going to be easy. The days will come when you want to make that call and you can’t and it will be like that 20 plus years down the line. Love them while they are here. Honor them as the Bible tells us to.
