Tuesday Free-For-All

Wow. That was a heavy thunderstorm last night. Banjo couldn’t be calmed and the chimney leaked.  So I “slept” in and skipped my run.  I’ll run tonight. Promise.

good morning everyone!. Marshall so sorry for the rough night. I can’t blame you for not running this morning. I wonder if it rained on my side of town?
    Everyone have a great day.

  2. Mrs. H says:

It cloudy here but I don’t think we got any rain.
Static electricity is on tap for the Mad Science Lab today. Good thing we’re inside the coldest location available. Humidity would put such a wet blanket on my demonstrations. :)

    Hey folks.

  4. parrotmom says:

Hey Blues! OB glad your parts came in you need to do a before and after picture.

It looks life we received a guarneri to half inch rain. If it stormed I didn’t hear it. I hope the rains south of us doesn’t put Coop without electricity again.

  5. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all have a good day.

  6. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

Um, PM…I don’t know what a “guarneri” is, but I’m betting auto-correct did a number on “quarter”. :)

No storms down my way. I think it was pretty concentrated over Jtown.

I think if Clucky was to read that she would never stop rolling laughing while rolling on the floor.

  7. msblondie says:

PM: your typos gave me a laugh this morning.. thank you :) also there is a bird show the 23 & 24 of this month at the Wahbai Temple off I-55 South.

    • parrotmom says:

Definitely auto correct error MsB, I could have never spelled that on my on. Thanks for the info on the bird show. Will definitely make sure I make it this time.

Afternoon! Enjoying the water and ocean breezes!

  9. parrotmom says:

Donut holes for breakfast and lunch. Yummy! Don’t forget the Dt Dr Pepper.

I wonder how the Mad Scientist is doing?

  10. Mrs. H says:

    My hair hurts!
That’s what happens when you rub a balloon on your head for several hours. The wool glove on the length of PVC didn’t work nearly as well as the balloon in the hair for generating a static charge.

Tomorrow: a bit of rocket science…

Afternoon! I really haven’t forgotten yall. just have recoveed from putting the magazine to press. Got my paper to bed today. And now working on next week. The lady that puts the paper together will be out next week so it is going to be a FUNNN week. David and I are already trying to get a jump on it. I just can’t do toooo good of a job or they may decide we don’t need her any more.

  12. cardinallady says:

I sure hope the clouds clear out of here by the afternoon. I do want to see Venus passing between us and the sun.

  13. msblondie says:

I am one tired puppy. And I still have 2 more hours to go.

Hubby got out one of his instruments, attached the solar screen but the sun, or rather the trees, wouldn’t cooperate. So we missed it!

    FYI, Hubby is a surveyor.

  16. Mrs. H says:

It takes until past sunset for the complete transit. We may have a chance if this one cloud will cooperate. Grrr…..

  17. parrotmom says:

I changed the air filter. Apprarently had been quiet some time since that was done. It was packed with dirt and dust.

  18. Mrs. H says:

Just got off the phone with Rexi. He got home to find the fire department had made a house call. No one, including Merckx the dog, was at home except the a/c guys who were responsible. They’re stand-up folks, though and have called their insurance guy and stayed after the firefighters to clean up as much as possible. He’s calling in the favor and staying with some friends that he housed for a while after Katrina.

    • Airwolf says:

      Glad it wasn’t worse!

    • parrotmom says:

Prayers for him and hope all turns out well for the house. So glad it was contained quickly although still a mess to take care of. Glad he has some good friends to help him out.

  19. Old Bopper says:

Evening! Got the mirrors on and the engine guard lights installed. Did not do the exhaust. I think that is beyond my capability. Will pay to have that done. I really like the new lights. They’re 55 watt halogen lights by Rivco and they they really put out a lot of light. For those who cycle, I had a Cobra light bar which was like pointing a flashlight compared to these. Think I will enjoy them.
