Got some bread from “Serious Bread” while we were in Bay St. Louis yesterday. Going to make toast with some of it to go with some yummy eggs we’re going to try this morning. Then we’ll be moving furniture from our room to the eldest’s old room.
Good Wednesday morning everyone. Prayers to everyone in need. LegalE hope all is well with your daughter in the midst of all the rains from Debby. It is hump day and down hilll the rest of the week and month.
Mawnin’ y’all. Very nice this morning. Enjoyed coffee on the porch. In a few hours it will be unbearable outside.
Air conditioning has really changed our lives. Goodness, I remember window fans and attic fans. We played outside and gathered under a big oak tree if things got too hot, or maybe on someone’s covered porch. Cars, stores, office buildings, and schools didn’t have AC. Our bodies were acclimated to the heat. Today we can’t stand much heat before we break out in a total sweat. Sometimes, I wonder if we weren’t better off way back when. I don’t remember as many allergies either. But don’t think I want to give up my AC. No sir, not at all. But I would like to have those little vent windows in the car.
Mornin!
I agree completely, OB! We are spoiled to AC, but I wouldn’t want to do without.
Hope everyone has a great day!
morning gang! hope all have a good day!
Hey folks.
Thanks so much for your prayers. The turmoil has died down somewhat. Cooler heads have prevailed. I’m fine, but some feathers have been ruffled within the family. I’m sure they’ll all be fine after a little time has passed. We’ve endured much worse than this.
(((((((((((((((((Love you Blues! *Peck on the cheek*))))))))))))))))
Flying through, busy day. Perhaps tommorrow will slow down just a little bit. :) I have an appointement with the Chickasaw Indian delegation tomorrow to discuss the Lewis and Clark Trail through Pontotoc. :) :) :)
Air conditioning is like money. If you don’t have it and then get it, that’s great. If you always have it, that’s great too. But if you have it and then don’t have it anymore, it’s miserable.
Evening. I agree not sure I how I ever made it with out air conditioning growing up I guess you just never knew what you were missing out on. You stayed outside so it was ago to be hot. I remembe at night the attic fan being on. It felt so good having that breeze blowing in the window.
Evening folks! It’s been a hot one. I’ve started watering my lawn here in town, grass was getting crunchy.
I’ve been breaking green beans for about two hours. I sat out on the back lower deck under a ceiling fan which made it tolerable.
Bis morgen!
Evenin!
Just watched another episode of Dallas. Good stuff.
Looking forward to having Mom, Big Sis and lil sis come pick me up tomorrow for lunch! Mom has a checkup in Jtown, so we are all going to eat at Two Sisters.
I discovered something cool today. A dove has a nest right outside the kitchen window at the office. I wouldn’t have even seen her had I not been watching a couple of sparrows that, literally, looked like they were panting in the heat. One of them flew up into the crepe myrtle and I saw her. It’s a little bitty nest, but apparently it’s sufficient. I’m going to try to post a couple of pics to fb.
Hope all is well with everyone. As well as it can be.
Present.
We got sideswiped on Lakeland Dr. Monday, right under the crosswalk. Granny couldn’t see my little car, I guess. She crossed 2 lanes to hit me.
Not a good week…just down in the dumps I guess.
So sorry Clucky. How have your appointments gone?
