Good morning! What’s up? Besides the humidity, of course.

Good morning, It’s Friday eve. I hope everyone has had a good week so far. Becareful and go out thre and give it your best shot :)
Morning from Oxford. Headed home as soon as I finish my assignment. Probably have water in the basement. Y’all stay dry.
Tell my daughter hello. I missed her phone call this morning. Since her divorce, she has gotten a job at Burger King so she can make some money and plan her hours around her children, so if you happen to go by there, you can’t miss her and won’t have any trouble telling whose daughter she is.
For some reason I had my dates confused. Em doesn’t come home until the 21st. :( I was so looking forward to her being home. El was, too.
Yesterday was interesting: funeral meal amidst all the wedding flowers. The daughter of our pianist is getting married Saturday and they are doing all their own flowers, which were delivered Monday. The kitchen is a sea of white and green.
mumblegrumble….morningmumblegrumblemumblegrumble
Blues, I am grumbling along with you. No light at the end of the tunnel thus far from this tunnel I have at worked my way into here at the office. Maybe after the weekend? Luck to you!
The light at the end of my tunnel is probably a train.
Do you need some coffee, Blues? And maybe a big ole cat head biscuit dripping with butter and muscadine jelly.
I am interested in this and would like to subscribe to your newsletter, LE.
Oh no letters please, a care package!
Mornin!
Loved the weather forecast I heard this morning: “There’s a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, pretty much anywhere in Mississippi.”
Morning. Cub is picking Meg up from the vet this morning & taking off today & tomorrow to be with her. She’s not a dog (well, she is really) – she’s his MEG. Oh, well, my family treats our animals like family members, as it should be imho.
Mrs. H, I posted a pic on fb of the first few rows of the baby afghan. It’s working up so nice, much better than I thought.
Everyone have a good day & watch out for the thunderstorms! Yesterday was a doozie!
morning gang! hope everyone has a good day!
Ok gonna ask for votes again.. here is the link: http://t.meredith.ly/cw5sooa
He is up to 80th place from a starting place of 3245th. I thank all my MRBA frinds for the help.
I have my Thursday bridge game in Pearl this afternoon and only one person has called me this morning to ask if they had signed up to play. Out of 20, that’s not bad, not bad at all. My friend whose house I go to on Mondays has been waiting for the men to show up since Monday morning to install a sump pump in her condominium laundry room. They haven’t shown up yet and she already spent most of last weekend sopping water up with towels and washing towels. She is not a happy camper. We didn’t play Monday because of that; the Tuesday group is taking a summer hiatus; I had lunch with my classmates yesterday instead of playing in my regular Wednesday game, so today is the first day all week I will be playing.
After the monsoon quieted down last night, we ran up to McAllister’s. I had a reuben craving, but they really don’t know how to do them justice. I never liked their potato salad because it’s sweet even though it’s not from sweet pickles. I suspect honey mustard to be the culprit. Anyway, it’s horrible, so I tried their macaronin and cheese last night, which is normally something I never eat unless it’s made with eggs. Even though theirs wasn’t, it was cheesy and creamy and super delicious. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover its deliciousness.
Morning! Flying through. Trying to get a back to school section together for the kiddies. Had to first get the shovel out and find at least some of my desk. What is behind my computer hasn’t been touched, but at least the surfaces that I work on are passable enough that I don’t feel like I’m a candidate for hoarder buried alive.
Speaking of … my poor son stayed home today. I hope he can find his way out of the house.
Yall must have gotten some rain yesterday. It just rained softly around here last night. I got some GREAT shots of the sunset. Lightening was all around us though. I also caught a rainbow shot in the sky.
Alright, got to get busy with this section. Love all of you. Please be careful out there and stay dry!
Morning! I delivered Mom and dropped her at the Meadoes with Daddy. Went by the funeral home to pay respects to classmate and childhood friend. Lung cancer discovered late April. Non smoker by the way. Tragic, 64 years old. He built and flew four ultralight aircraft, which he let me fly a couple of them. One never knows what tomorrow holds.
AW, we have a church member that builds ultralights.
I have spent the last several hours learning something new. When Bro. Music showed me how, he did a song in about 15 minutes. It took me several hours, but I think it’s done. Now I have a headache (and a sincere dislike for this song at the moment). It’s a software package called ProPresenter 4. You can put an audio track in the timeline and then place slides for the lyrics to show up at specific points. No need for the tech guy to try to follow the song: one press of the play button does it all. I am still on the horizontal part of the learning curve, though.
Holy smokes! It’s raining sideways!
We’re home! Checked the basement and found a teeny tiny puddle in one corner. I consider that a blessing. Now if it decides to come in, we can control it and keep the basement dry.
Sure hate that we didn’t get a chance to go to our favorite place in Oxford to eat. It’s named The Ravine and is a totally different place to eat. No standard meal just lots of wonderful tasty “appetizer” portions of many different items. I think the last time we were there we ordered six or eight different items and had wine too. Then we had coffee and dessert. A yummy place. Not inexpensive but really good.
everyone becareful going home… it is nasty out.
I FOUND IT! Just got a new laptop and didn’t think I could find the blog BUT I DID!!! Now if I can just get used to the flat keyboard. It’s really funny when you put your fingers on the wrong keys. Cub has promised to donate a wireless mouse. Maybe I will be better with that than the touch pad.
Congrats PNC on your new laptop. I hope you enjoy it.
We had another 1/2 inch of rain looks like a total of 4 1/2 inches for July so far. Hope everyone is doing well. OB glad your basement was in good shape when you got home. I worry about my tub everytime it storms. Hope the good Lord keeps looking our for me and the Parrot.
Still sending prayers for Banjo and his family.
Evenin
It’s late and I’m sleepy and about to go to bed. It’s been a long, but good day.
Food for thought quote for the night: “logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”
It’s been on my mind tonight.
Sleep well, my peeps.
“or the one.”
nite lite is on!
