    Mornin!

Good luck to all the teachers! And God bless them. I know I couldn’t do it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

  3. Mrs. H says:

Em is happy to be going back. El … not so much. And they have band practice until 5 this afternoon.

We’ll start painting the remodeled bedroom tonight!! Gray, my favorite color :)

Mawnin’. Stayed up way too late watching the landing on Mars. Ultra impressive!

Morning. The teachers here went back last week, kids start today. So, my dogs got to chase the school bus! From the fenced back yard, of course, but they love it! Get some sense of pride when it goes back up the road as if they ran it off!.
Hubby & I are considering getting a video camera just to film the dogs & cats. May sound silly but they are entertaining!

Good morning! It’s dark as night and raining. Just a shower I think. The earth is very dry!

Bear is getting his braces off today and has a permanent retainer. He’s happy to get the braces off but doesn’t like the retainer.

Got a call while I was posting this that my aunt who visited barely a week ago has ovarian cancer that has spread. Prayers please!

Marshall I so enjoyed the drawings from the Neshoba County Fair. The heat index on the thermometer were so dead on.

One of the book clubs is this morning, but I’ve about decided that I don’t care. Last month they read To Kill A Mockingbird, which was great about the first few times I read it and saw the movie. I read too many new books to really be interested in a lot of the stuff they pick.

I’m busy calling my Thursday group. We will be in the new building this week and I hope, since nobody asked me during the planning, that we have enough room.

  10. Mrs. H says:

School started this morning. This is the day that there are more rookie drivers on the road at the same time than any other 1 day of the year.

I have some friends who sent off their 12th grader and their 1st grader today. They have one that graduated a few years ago, too. Yes, we all snickered about 7 years ago…..

Staggers in…takes off gloves/safety glasses/ear plugs/hard hat…wipes sweat…grabs bottled water from fridge…nods…’sup folks. I’ll just be over here by the a/c vent, thanks.

  12. parrotmom says:

Too funny MrsH makes you count back on your fingers to remember what was going on with the weather. May all the newbie drivers be careful.

Blues stay cool and enjoy the ac vents blowing that cool air.

My eldest is now in the ranks of the gainfully employed. She had a 2nd interview this morning and they called her back a few hours later to offer the job. She’ll be working at a credit union on the coast. She is so excited!!

  14. parrotmom says:

    Congrats to your eldest MrsH!

  15. OldBopper says:

Prayers for your Aunt, AW. Great news for your oldest MrsH.

Blues stay as cool as possible. Was out your way yesterday. We had a nice breeze blowing under the trees. Sat and talked with some guys for almost 2 hours.

Marshall, I hope your youngest has a good year in Kindergarten. FYI, I was in the Legislature when we enacted the Education Reform Act that created statewide kindergarten. It was one of my proudest moments. Our youngest grand is repeating kindergarten. He’s not dumb, but he was the youngest in his class and wants to memorize the books rather than read them. He has the same teacher again and that’s good because he really loves her. I think he has been affected by the nasty divorce his parents have gone through.

  16. Mrs. H says:

My eldest just called back. The other job interview she went for last week also offered her a job. She is so pleased that the one she accepted called before the other one did! She is happy with her choice and glad she didn’t have to juggle.

We’ve experienced some thunder, dark clouds, wind and rain. For a drop-by-drop up-to- the-minute report, tune in to Channel 3. They are bound and determined to save us from the thunder.

  18. dhcoop says:

I’ve got a pretty good chance of driving in some crap when I head south here shortly. Yay me!

  19. msblondie says:

everyone have a good evening and becareful on the drive home.

AW – Sorry about your Aunt
MrsH. – That is good news for your eldest.

Looked like Jackson was getting a minor flood around 5 yesterday. A twitter friend that lives around Brandon had their house hit by lightning. The pics were crazy.

Praise the Lord and pass the toilet paper-there is FINALLY a toilet next door! Somehow, the lid to the tank has disappeared. Maybe Tuesday it will show up. Next is baseboards, shower/tub surround, then vanity, mirror and lighting. Sooooo close. I barely was able to move Monday. I worked my tail off Saturday tho!
