OK, PM, where are you this morning?

    Greetings, all.

  2. parrotmom says:

PResent! morning MrsH, Marshall, and everyone else that joins in today. MrsH got up about 5:00 from the bed and found my way on the other side of the house on the couch. Just bypassed the computer till 6:30. The kittie girls are fed, now time for the Parrot and for me to finish getting ready to leave for work.

Hope you all have a terrific day. I was doing some reading on the ten commandments last night and readng “thou shalt not kill!” In all these years I did not realize there are more ways to “Kill” not meaning death of a person. Harboring a certain type feeling can cause the lack of outgoing Love! I left out some text but I have a few people not here of course that I have resented their actions during PD’s heatlh problems. I realize that I have let this affect me in some areas of my life.
Thanks for listening this morning. Hope you all have a terrific day.

  3. OldBopper says:

Good morning! We had some super duper thunder boomers about 1 am this morning. I think we had just a wee bit of rain too. Blues, are you home?

  4. pncpnthr says:

Morning. Whew! Survived the storms! I didn’t even notice I never changed into my pjs last night. I can’t remember ever being that scared being here alone. Thankfully my power never went out for more than a minute. I actually thought about riding over to Mom & Dad’s but that would have been ridiculous! We have limbs down in the back yard but the big dead tree the power company is supposed to cut didn’t fall, thank goodness. If it falls it will hit my house. Think I may put in another call to them today, see if they can’t hurry up the process…

Everyone have a good day. PM, thanks for the reminder…

  5. parrotmom says:

Clucky glad to see that you checked in yesterday. Other than getting rounder I hope things are finally going your way some. We all need a break from a feeling of being overwhelmed and wondering when the next anvil is going to fall from the sky.

PNC glad you and that dead tree survived the storm last night . The same for Clucky and anyone else that the storm was affecting.

  6. Airwolf says:

Morning! We had some horrendous lightening last night. I’ve got a dead oak limb blocking the drive. Chainsaw time!! We didn’t get any rain.

    Catch you folks later!

  7. msblondie says:

    morning gang!

  8. Molly says:

Mornin! There were storms last night? Didn’t hear a thing. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out and didn’t know a thing until morning.
Hubby is taking Kiddo’s car for another estimate on repairing her wreck damage this afternoon. Last estimate was for $2500. We only paid $4800 for the car. In the meantime, she’s driving a banged up car and not complaining. She’s going to have to help pay for the repairs with money she earns at her new job.

  9. parrotmom says:

Hey Molly I am sure banged up car beats no car at all.

  10. Mrs. H says:

We didn’t even have any clouds yesterday or last night. I went out about 10 just in case any of the Peresids were going to make an appearance. Nope, but I did spot Scorpio to the south and the Big Dipper to the north northwest.

  11. Molly says:

Yes, PM, she will agree with that. She was so proud of her little car when she got it. For an 8 year old car, it looked great! Not so much now. 6 months ago, there was no way she would have considered driving a clunker. But, since it was her actions (inattention) that made it a clunker, she’s dealing with it. I think a good life lesson was learned.

  12. blues4you says:

    Hey folks.

I was up ’til 2 this morning watching the light show with one scared little dog. It was quite impressive. Had 1″ of rain. No damage that I can see but haven’t ventured out of the hood yet.

    Y’all be good.

  13. parrotmom says:

    Peanut m&ms for lunch.

  14. Clucky says:

Oh, there is another anvil. I’ve seen it. The roof next door over the utility room is leaking; ok, POURING when it rains. Mama always said to just throw a match on it when she was gone. I understand what she meant.

  15. Molly says:

    Sorry, Cluck.
Forgot to mention the snake in our front yard this morning. It was between the front door and Kiddo’s car. I didn’t think she was going to school today. Thankfully, it slithered off towards the neighbor’s yard after a couple of minutes and Kiddo darted for the car. She may not come home this afternoon. I think it was just a king snake, but the only good snake is a dead snake, in my opinion. It was at least 4 feet long. I looked around the yard carefully before I left the house this morning and when I got home at lunch. I hate snakes!

  16. Legal Eagle says:

Hey, y’all. I gave myself the day off today. Yesterday, I played bridge in Crossgates from 12:00 until 5:30 p.m. Then I drove to Crossgates West, behind Fernando’s, and played from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. I got such horrible cards last night that I won low score and got my $1.00 back, so I broke even. I ate so much cheese and crackers, Cheetos, Fritos, mocha cream cheese brownies, etc. that I almost felt sick when I got home and, of course, wanted nothing to eat once I finally got here a little after 10:00 p.m. AW, I played with your friend, Shirley, last night.

We’re going to Brandon to get a tag for BE’s boat and then on to Olive Garden. Later!

  17. Mrs. H says:

We are getting pounded with rain!!

  18. Mrs. H says:

We’re getting weather like most of y’all were talking about last night.

    • pncpnthr says:

That was rough last night! Mom & I decided the clouds must have been lower than usual for the thunder to have been so loud (if that’s possible). I don’t usually hear it in my house, but I did last night!

  19. msblondie says:

    everyone have a good evening.

  20. cardinallady says:

Hi all! Busy day. Got the paper to bed then had to cover a story at our landfill where we are generating green energy. A killowat of power from the garbage gasses. Had a good time with some light refreshments. Thursday we go to a ribbon cutting for the big highway and get to eat good aftwerward. Fried catfish. :)

Last night I had some fresh garden peas that I shelled myself. I picked them from dad’s rows then shelled them and cooked them last week, so all I had to do was warm them up last night.

Alright, gotta get home and get some dishes washed. Yall have a good evening. Sure hope I sleep tonight. Haven’t been able to the past two.

  21. Legal Eagle says:

After all these years, we finally had a truly outstanding meal at Olive Garden We started with the new spicy scampi fritti and salad. BE had his favorite soup and I tried the new steak gargonzola alfredo. It was all so outstanding that we even tried the new mini desserts, a white chocolate raspberry mousse, a chocolate mousse and a tiramasu mousse. They were all excellent, but our favorite was the white chcolate raspberry. I have always loved their salad but the only entree I usually order is the lasagna.

  22. DWB810 says:

Hello everyone! LE, I tried the spicy scampi fritti last week. I was great. Our extremely high temperatures have finally broken and it went from hotter than hades to fall like temps in just a few days. I hope everyone is having a great week.

  23. parrotmom says:

Evening everyone, hope everyone is well.

  24. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

I’m glad I’ve had my sushi fix tonight after reading about the meal Leagle had.

Been crazy busy, but doing well. Just a lot going on.

  25. parrotmom says:

Nite lite is on, night everybody!
