good morning and safe travels to you Marshall.

Coop how nice of someone to do that for you.

My birthday came and went without an acknowledgement from my stepchildren. One did apologize a few days later and the other nothing and she was the one that told the one that apologized.

  2. Mrs. H says:

Good morning. I called AT&T when I got home yesterday and they found some interference in the DSL line somewhere between them and us. The nice man said they would put us on the highest filter and the technicians would come find the problem today. One time a squirrel had gotten into the box and chewed up some stuff. You just never know when nature will rebel against technology.

  3. parrotmom says:

I ran the update for one of the iphones last night it took 12 hours and I hope it is updating my phone now. The other phone begins the download but errors out after about two hours and it wants to take about 40 hours to do it. I need to call Apple to see what the problem is.

  4. parrotmom says:

Ahhh how sweet—NOT!!! Itty bitty brought in a dead baby bird. I guess it could have been worse. She is frantically looking for it now both cats are rough housing.

  5. parrotmom says:

I said that about the children not for sympathy they did not want to remember their dad’s I know one is not wanting to deal with anything at all wants to be knot on a log. By talking to me makes him have to remember. I have suggested he get counseling and Hospice ministries is supposed to be getting me some contacts for where he lives. Tomorrow will be six months since his passing. Do I miss him–yes, would I want him back not at all. I do have a peace about it all.

  6. parrotmom says:

MrsH I guess I will be calling AT&T today. My phone is even telling me slow internet ?

  7. pncpnthr says:

Morning. I’ve got to complete the project(s) I started yesterday, cleaning out cabinets in the laundry room. Hubby will be home tomorrow & if I don’t get rid of some of the junk he’ll find some reason to keep it. I have determined in some ways I’m as bad as he not wanted to clean out things I haven’t used in a while, like all the cookbooks I had forgotten. I’ll have to keep telling myself to stay on task!!

I hope everyone has a good Tuesday. Where’s Blues with the donuts? Time for that second cup of coffee.

  8. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

  11. Molly says:

Mornin. Thought I was going to have a quiet morning to catch up on some things. A client showed up and changed my plans for the day. So much for getting caught up.

MsB, I know you are having a busy week.

  12. Airwolf says:

Morning! Be safe on your travels MR.

Wet and soggy! My lawn is covered with leaves.

Gotta go get Mom in a bit! Have a great day!

  13. Legal Eagle says:

I got a call yesterday asking me if I could fill in for one of the members of the Tuesday bridge group today, whose husband had to be admitted to the hospital yesterday. I need to scratch up a quarter to ante up.

Breakfast tacos were a great idea, Blues, and you did a super job.

  14. Molly says:

Yummm, a client brought by a coffee cake. Please help yourselves. I advise heating it up just a bit.

  15. parrotmom says:

Thanks Molly it was scrumptious. I don’t need lunch now.

  16. blues4you says:

  18. parrotmom says:

Is the flower show this weekend in CS? Not that I care about flowers just wondering if so and if anyone going?

    • Clucky says:

Good question PM! I think its next Saturday.

By a miracle of God, we have a contest-free Saturday in October. The kicker? Next Thursday & Friday are/is Fall Break. State Prelims are next Saturday. Makes NO sense.

  19. pncpnthr says:

Whew! Made a dashing trip to Philly to fix cobra insurance issues…Thank goodness for the woman in the benefits office! Now I have a headache & still have to finish the disaster in my dining room from the clean-out yesterday. Wish I could just go back to bed! Hubby will be home tomorrow so I’ve got to get busy. And another thing–package of new yarn was delivered while I was gone! I would love to start one of the new projects!! Ugh!

    Haven’t even thought of lunch!

  20. cardinallady says:

Flitting through. Good thing I can fly over all these humans tripping down steps. Whew! Wonder what made all those brown freckles all over the room? Time to get out the murphey’s oil soap.

You all have made my day. It has been a long tough two days. I’m leaving out of here in a bit (after our staff meeting which I think will be hour and a half or two hours) and going HOME to my critters. I do need to clean out my chicken house, but will probably try to clean out my kitchen instead … or I could clean in the hall … or the living room … I don’t know where to start, as grandmom would say.

If I don;t get some of the stuff shoveled up the DEQ is going to require I file for a permit.

Isn’t it a BEAUTIFUL day? The only thing that has kept my sanity today is remembering that we only live in this tent for a little while. THANK GOD!!!

  21. Clucky says:

Bless your heart, CLady, your house sounds like mine!

LOL’ing at pnc-reminds me of me & mom when daddy worked offshore. We were laaaaazy. We would read and eat easy stuff while he was offshore. The night before he came home was a fanatical cleaning spree, along with grocery shopping to put REAL food in the fridge. Your “new yarn” = our “new book” and Mama would wait til he went back offshore to get new books. However, I didn’t have to wait. I would waft them under her nose like a gourmet dish when I came in from the library. :)

    • pncpnthr says:

Spending the afternoon trying to hide all the new projects, now each in it’s own bag awaiting a crochet hook! Just ripped the box, now to take to the garbage, where it will be picked up in the morning BEFORE he gets home! Ha!

  22. Clucky says:

    /felloffthebedLMAO

  23. Clucky says:

Free sass-mouthed teenager (well, not “free” as any parent of a teenage daughter can attest). Mr. Fab needs to get here quick with my anti-backhand-backtalking-teenager meds, esp. before her hair appt at 5.

    • Molly says:

I’ve been needing some of those meds lately. I’m glad I only had one kid. And she’s basically a good kid. But she does have a mouth on her. A mouth I would like to knock into the next county some days.

  24. parrotmom says:

Clucky thanks for the offer, I think me stay with my parrot and 2 kittie girls. One of them seems to have the idea of the litter box but seems to put the wrong end over it. She found herself outside about 1:00 this morning. Sass free :)

    • Clucky says:

PM, I’m having issues with this Persian. He’s a sweetie-but I think he’s sick and that’s what’s causing him to crap everywhere. To the vet we go…

  25. parrotmom says:

CLady good luck. I wonder how we would do if we did a joint cleaning project one house every week, cleaning would be do much more fun with company. Talking, laughing, and carrying on. Hmmmm! Sounds more like a sit down hen party.

    • cardinallady says:

Hey! I’m all for a hen party! The house will still need to be cleaned when Jesus comes.

Incidentally, my snake shedded his skin for the first time last week. Brother informed me last night that I’m not feeding it enough or it should have shedded more.

Yes, it’s almost five o’clock HERE and I’m STILL at the OFFICE! Everybody ran away and I didn’t want to leave Joyce by herself. I’m the nice girl.

However … this time next Tuesday … when I’m trying to get out of here to go on vacation … this girl is GOOONNEE.

  26. parrotmom says:

    All be safe going home.

  27. parrotmom says:

Oh my, at those descriptions of a room. I have seen a few through the years too! Just thankful you have a place to lay your head for a few.

  28. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Reading back through today’s comments was a hoot! You guys crack me up!

About to watch the results show of DWTS. Expect I’ll be talking to Mom before the hour is out. They were going to go have supper with my Aunt and Uncle that lost their daughter recently and I’m anxious to see how they are doing.

As to the question about the flower show, PM I’m glad you brought that up. I think it is this weekend but I need to confirm. Maybe Crystalbutterfly will flitter in and let us know. I expect I’ll be going if it is. I always enjoy that.

Going to go check fb and see what Big Sis is up to.

  29. parrotmom says:

55 comments that’s a good day. Nite all!
