Morning! I made oatmeal blueberry muffins this morning. Much better than I expected, for a made-up recipe. I found a few recipes online but didn’t really like them so I made my own. Just wish I could eat more than one. Too many calories! If I get in some exercise today I may have another for a snack.
    Everyone enjoy this beautiful day!

Morning, beautiful day in the hill country!

Daddy is still in the hospital, has an infection. Lab is growing cultures to determine origin. Nothing is happening quickly. Outwardly he is doing well!

    Enjoy this glorious day!

Update: Well, Orville’s 1/2 way through the horrible, aggressive chemotherapy. It’s starting to take it’s toll on him – the smell of foods are making him real “sick”, but the nurses know how to take care of everything. They’ve started giving him IV anti-nausea meds prior to meal-time, taking the top off the food so it can ‘breathe’ before it’s brought into the room and not forcing it. However, it’s not so much that he eats ‘meals’, but his caloric intake is the key so if he eats pudding, ice cream, milk shakes, drinks sodas, etc., those all count a lot. Chocolate pudding or ice cream is even better (& what he likes the best) because, besides being high in calories, it also is high in magnesium which he really needs. So, we’re taking it one day at a time and I’m staying by his side. His doctors are very pleased with how he’s doing. We know he’s going to come through this victorious! Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Love you honey-y’all are in my prayers.

I remember Orville, mr. AnnOnimous, and Granny (my MIL) all being diagnosed so close together. Amazing how the 3 outcomes have been so different.

Thanks CP and AW for the updates of your lived ones.

LegalE prayers for you today regarding your sons birthday.

MrsH small things can make us so excited.

I did get the magnolia leaves raked. Cleaned up the private patio. Just not man enough to cut the limbs out if the bushes that have helped letting a varmint in my attic. I tried to find someone to help with no luck. I had my fab for lunch and now ready for a nap.

You had your fab for lunch? (giggle)

When we go to Hinds next weekend, hopefully we can get together, PM.

I learned today that only (5), yes FIVE, 2A bands will be competing for state next weekend. After the first round, only one will not move up to finals. There will be a whole bunch of buttonholes on our section of the bleachers!! I also learned that we are now #1 in our district in football! Yay!

Howdy! What a day!! Everything went pretty well that I could tell. I came home and napped ( since I was up all night) then went back in time for the big bands. WOW.

PS-I put a little sand, a duraflame log and 3 small logs in thi chiminea this morning after all. If you’re on fb, you’ve probably seen it. Waking up early and sitting by a fire is so relaxing…
