    Mornin!

Today was the first day in a LONG time that I came close to calling in to work that I just couldn’t make it. My back is hurting really bad. But, I took a couple of ibuprofen and headed on in anyway. *sigh*

    And the fog was awful.

Now that the Boss is writing books and they are being published, maybe we can finally get an MRBA cookbook put together.

    Indeed, Leagle!!

I know I whine. A lot. But this time I earned it (ha) Thing 2 and I started the tile work yesterday afternoon, and I fell into the bed at 5am. It’s not finished, but dang it is looking good! Leagle, I don’t know how your sons do this ALL THE TIME!! Ya know the devil’s in the details, but at least I think I’m done with the details. I do believe I heard a neighbor yell “TURN THAT $&@#%¥ thing OFF!” when I cut the last piece of the night at 3am. Whoops!

Yesterday was a feel good day. Today and tomorrow, Mr. Fab will be at MSU for a conference. I’ve a feeling there will be a lot of Mama-youngun bonding time tonight.

    afternoon:

I just called for another interview – this is also a 2nd one. It is tomorrow at noon.. this one will be long one i was told.. so this is a good sign.. this is one i really really would like to get… so here i am asking for a few prayers about it. The HR lady was giggling at me cause I was so excited she had called me back.

Thinking about CP and Orville today. They have been on my mind. I do pray all is going well with him.. I just can’t imagine.

I have made halloween chocolate today for my niece and nephews.. M and C got theirs over the weekend. I have made enough for my neighbor’s sons as well.

Now time to start prepping supper – meat loaf and mash taters.

I’m still working in the back yard. As I was raking the years of pine straw I was trying to determine the last time the whole back yard was raked. It was in March of 1984. Cub was at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. I carried the phone around in the yard thinking he may get a chance to call and I remember talking to the chocolate lab we had at the time, Coffee, asking him to help me watch the fire (like a dog could do anything about a fire getting out of control). I’m not burning today. I’ve grown a fear of fires for some reason.

    • pncpnthr says:

Boy did I get the years wrong!!! Should have been 2004!! Cub wasn’t even born in 1984!

      • Molly says:

I was wondering just how old Cub is! Hubby was at Lackland in fall of 1983, and I know how old he is. I’ve met you and didn’t think you looked old enough to have a kid pushing 50!

Actually, last night was a pretty good one (after the bouts of throwing up yesterday) and, in between the nurse coming in for the IV’s, we both slept. All the IV fluids have him going to the bathroom often, though. We’ve found that he can’t do the oral swishes that are highly recommended to help with the mouth sores because of his sensitive gag-reflex. Having to do what we can when we can. Orville’s lost 10 pounds since we got here. :(

Today he had his LAST dose of chemo! YAY! EKG was done earlier and the doctors read it to make sure all was well before they hung the last bag of ‘poison’ to finish off his bone marrow and stem cells. His blood counts had dropped dramatically yesterday & today, but that’s the plan. They all say that the week after the transplant will be his worst (hard to imagine from what I’ve seen him endure so far), but then my new man will slowly start feeling like a new man! :-D More updates to come as I can.

I, too, would sure like to hear from AnnO & IG to find out how they’re doing…Helloooo, AnnO…

  14. parrotmom says:

Evening, thanks for the update CornPop!

  15. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

Prayers going out to all in need. Especially CornPop and Orville.

Watched DWTS with Mom on the phone. Checked in with Baby Girl and all is as good as can be there.

Back is hurting big time, but I’m working through it. Still not sure what I did to mess it up so bad.

Crocheted a head band for Bug, who wants to be the Indian in Peter Pan for Halloween. Gathered a few “old women” things (sweater, shirt, slippers) for Peanut, who wants to be an “old woman”. I think I’ve got that covered! Baby Girl is going to come have lunch with me tomorrow and I’ll give her what I’ve got. The things we do…

I hope the bathroom project is coming together for you, Clucky!! You need to post some pics!

    I think it’s bedtime…

Porch light is on. Love to all, and to all, a good night…

    Nite all!!
