Good Sunday morning. I think this is the 6th day in a row for frost 36 degrees here.

I had a very productive day yesterday. Now if I can keep it up. You all have a wonderful day.

Morning! Headed to church in a bit. Our combined community service is tonight. We are the hosts for other local church’s.

    It’s a beautiful day, enjoy!

Morning! I had a great day yesterday rambling around with a friend. We went to the Homeworks show/sale in Jackson. I didn’t buy anything, kept thinking “I can make that”. We’ll see how far that goes! Ha!

Cub’s friend that lost his life in the train/float accident will be buried at Arlington. I’ve never known anyone buried there. Some day I’d like to go back.

    Mornin!

I’m eating a bowl of Choco Dyno Bites. yum

Coop, Mr Fab calls those “Chocolate Dino Turds.” I have no idea why, but he’s done it for years. He’s so refined, yeah buddy.

I’m not even talking about the bathroom next door. However…our utility room roof (these old houses added them well after the original construction) has apparently been leaking around the vent pipe for the hot water heater. There is now a 2ft x 8ft hole (neatly cut but you get my drift) that has to be repaired today. So I’ve been next door and he’s been here. I’ve lost the excitement of the job. I’m just ready to be DONE. I do believe the Devil’s in the details, and that’s what I’m drowning in: details.

As I was changing clothes last night, I took a bad fall. Most of the time, I can’t catch myself when my balance gets “wonky” (as watercolor says), but not this time. My back, hip, and noggin are very sore this morning. At least I haven’t fallen off a ladder…yet. *knock on wood”

It’s beautiful this morning. I do love the cooler weather. I hear ya, OB!! It’s that time of year when I run the heater on my feet when I ride with the top down! At night, the sky is so full of stars-more, it seems, than summer time. Chicklette has gone to sleep a few times while the top is down and she’s looking at the stars. I love it.

She’s out of school ALL this coming week. Planning ahead, I bought 3 sets of knitting needles, yarn, 3 how to knit books, and a couple of pattern books. She is going to teach me to knit! If I’m incapable of grasping the technique, I do know how to crochet! One roll of yarn is the same grey as her Uggs, so she’s tickled :) Y’all, she’s growing up so fast. Pictures don’t do her justice; it’s not necessarily a physical growth I speak of; it’s a maturity she’s not shown before, especially in her schoolwork. Her first 9 weeks report card broke her heart. She has started studying more, etc., and has made HUGE strides already! She’s determined to be on honor roll. She finally believes us when we tell her she CAN do it, which has been the toughest thing for her to grasp.

Thing 1 is rocking the good grades this semester too. Yay! Thing 2 got his first check from his new job. He’s a happy camper! It’s physical, but he stays busy and really likes his coworkers. In fact, one has been a family friend for 25 years. He injured his hand a few weeks ago; while at the hospital, they did blood tests and found something ugly. He had a biopsy last week, and sure enough..he has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It will be January (WHY??) until he can see an oncologist at UMC. His wife is devastated-they are strong in their faith, and we are all praying that it has been caught early.

Ok, let me get these sore bones up and moving. Falling reminds me why I cringe every time a player takes a bad hit in football. I know that’s gonna hurt in the morning!

Y’all have a beautiful day. Love ya-mean it!

    Sorry for the novel! Oops!!

afternoon. been rather lazy today. Have gotten laundry done (at least washed and dried but not folded). I have also been working on my knitting projects. Have 4 hats and scarves finished, half way done with set number 5, I have 3 more sets for sure to get done, if I don’t decide to do a few more.

I can’t knit with the needles.. I use the looms. My great-grandmother, grandmother and father all tried to teach me but I couldn’t quiet get it being left-handed. My crochet is “backwards” due to being left-handed.

    everyone have a good afternoon.

  8. parrotmom says:

Afternoon everyone. Clucky thanks for your novel :) I am happy for you on the good things and feel for you on the others. Amazing Cancer sneaks it ugly head up and no oncologist till the first of the year—we cancel all illnesses until after the holidays? Sorry to be sarcastic about it. It always seems to be hurry up and wait when it comes to health and almost everything else in life too!

DWB any word on your hubby yet– or is he still on hold since that last interview?

  9. Old Bopper says:

Evening. Early Church today. Long ride after. Then relaxing and watching football all afternoon. The Saints are looking good.

AW, when we lived in Southaven we had a community Thanksgiving service. Everybody except the Baptists would participate. Never figured out why they wouldn’t. Anyway, it was always a wonderful service with a lot of chatting afterwards.

Ordered a new all-in-one printer/copier/scanner to replace an elderly Xerox machine that’s limping along. It’s so old I can’t even buy toner for it. Ordered a Brother DCP 8155DN. I think it should be sufficient for a long time.

Hope everybody has had a great day.

OB, we bought a wireless all in one. It is AWESOME! We can even print straight from our phones. You can also send to the document via email to the printer. I’m easily impressed :)

Chicklette and I chose two MORE rolls of yarn tonight. There’s going to be a lot of homemade Christmas gifts this year.

    Evenin!

Had a good, lazy day today. Laundry, crochet and TV. Just finished watching a few hours of Food Network (love Chopped), followed by How the States were Made on the History channel. Am about to watch “The Dust Bowl” on PBS. I’ve been hearing about it and am anxious to see it. (ok, so I’m boring). I’d rather watch The Dust Bowl and learn a little about history than watch any other “Bowl” that involves a ball. Just sayin…

Oh. My. Goodness… I haven’t been on Twitter in weeks and randomly posted a complimentary comment to Mo Rocca (who I ADORE) about an episode of “My Grandmother’s Ravioli” that was funny and suddenly BAM!! Mo Rocca “favorites” me on twitter! I’m flattered and excited! I may have to pay more attention to Twitter!
