Turkey week!!! Yeah :) Even though my cooking is no more and I go somewhere else for lunch with a few others. I still have so many wonderful things to be thankful for and one of those is the MRBA blog. Hope you all have a grand week and enjoy your family and friends because one day they will no longer be around and that could always happen sooner than later. Love, hugs, and prayers to all.

    CornPop how about an update?

PM, I hope you have a Grand Thanksgiving with whomever you celebrate it. When we were first married, Mr. H and I lived in Virginia, 800 miles from our families. We were members of a young married Sunday School class, most of whom were also a long way from families. It was an Air Force and Navy kind of place. We spent most holidays with these new friends that we called family. I still count those couples as my family, most of whom I will not see again this side of Heaven.

MrsH we started out with 4 and built up to 20 or more sometimes. Then the numbers started to decline as Bruce and nephews began their own lives. Even a few years the kids did not come. I am thankful for my mom raising me in the kitchen and my helping and learning how. Except for homemade pie crust, but then again I haven’t baked a pie in years. I have to be open and see where my next years will take me. If PD’s children ever want to come home I will be will take on the challenge.

Mawnin’. Think PQ and I are going to see the movie, “Lincoln” this afternoon. Will ease over to Louisiana this morning to get a lottery ticket. $250 million is worth a try. It would be so much fun giving lots and lots to various charities.

Hey Bopper. I’m in La and the sign I saw in the c-store this morning said 33mil. Though it’s possible that the sign could be wrong. I buy a ticket about once every two weeks.

Hope you and PQ enjoy this nice weather.

Flitting in on this BEAUTIFUL thanksgiving week morning. My cardinalson has been home since last Wednesday and it has been nice to have him around. I bought the turkey for mom’s house this morning.

shhhhhhhh! I don’t have a lot to do over the next couple or three days so I’m taking it easy for once. It is NICE. You will see a lot of me today and tomorrow. You may get tired seeing red.

  7. cardinallady says:

*chuckle* I’ve already sent Cardinalson a whole list of honey do stuff. He went to the woods this morning. I heard the gun go off twice. No meat for the table … yet.

Howdy! My girl is out of school this week, and we have many things to do! I’m stretching carefully, still sore from my hard tumble Saturday evening.

I just had to get out my toolbox for a pair of pliers to get a bottle of Mountain Dew open.

Kiddo found out this weekend that her boss (store owner) was found guilty of fraud after Katrina and had to pay $350,000 back to FEMA. Interesting, huh? Kiddo has found no one who likes this boss. I REALLY wish she could find another job and get away from there. I don’t like that Kiddo is often scheduled to close the store and is the only one there for the last couple of hours. Hubby has started going down there and watching to make sure nothing happens to her since, apparently, the owner doesn’t care at all about her employees’ safety. There are rarely any adults in the store. All but 2 employees are 16 and 17 years old.

PQ and I went to see Lincoln this afternoon. Awesome movie! No sex and very few bad words. It’s about the passage of the 13th Amendment. I highly recommend it.

Flittng through. Came back to get my butter that I bought this morning when I bought the turkey. I put it in our fridge here at work, took it home with me at dinner and then brought it back with me after dinner. *siiggghhh* And then forgot to get it out when I left tonight. I think I need strings for my finger like George Bailey’s uncle did in “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

CardinalSon had a fire going in the hearth when I got home. From the mailbox he retrieved a thanksgiving card from our neighbors. So while I sipped my tea he read the card to me in front of the crackling fire. It was nice. Okay now got to get back to our fun evening together. See yall tomorrow. Probably early so I can get done and leave for a couple of hours before my meeting.

evening. so far still liking the new job. I think it is going to work out and not be nearly as stressfull has i have had in the past.. which is a good thing for my health. I have not had to had my meds since i started.. another good thing. I keep them handy just in case, but i hate them cause they make me like a zombie. I even made it through a funeral visitation without them this weekend.

now I am trying to decide if I want to go back out to Jo-ann’s… they have yarn the Caron One Pounders and Lion Brand One Pounders on sale for 6.00 when regular 10.00. I am fighting it really hard. And I have a $5 coupon as well. sooo the temptation.

    everyone have a good night.

  14. parrotmom says:

Evening everyone. MsB glad you are liking your job. I hope the stress stays at a minimum, a job is not much fun otherwise.
CLady enjoy your time with Cardinalson. Somethings are just better when sharing with family.

    Evenin!

Just got off the two hour phone-a-thon with Mom during commercials on DWTS. It’s getting intense. Shawn Johnson is going to be my pick for this season. She is totally awesome.

Also planning Thanksgiving. It’s going to be great to have my girls for a spend-the-night at Mom & Dad’s Thanksgiving night. It’s going to be fun!

Personally, I have lots to be thankful for this year. And, I’m with PM in that the MRBA is definitely one of them, as it has been for several years now.

Love and hugs to all! Porch light is ON!
