Good morning to you all. Hope you don’t get caught in any rain showers today or tinight.

Never heard if a duvet till Coop mentioned back in the spring or summer. Glad I don’t have one. I hope Cooo isn’t still tied up with the laundry.

Mawnin’ ya’ll. Nothing planned for today. May do some inside stuff like dusting, mopping, etc. Or, may just play on the computer all day. Tough choices to make.

Morning! We went to the Christmas Parade last night, 70 degree temp seemed very strange for December!

Marshall any plans for a Tupelo signing yet?

Mornin. I don’t use a duvet, either. Seems like WAY too much trouble!
Last January, I found a recipe for Snickerdoodle bread that sounded really yummy. It called for cinnamon chips (like chocolate chips, but cinnamon). I couldn’t find them anywhere. I have honestly looked for them in every store I’ve been in since then. Well, WalMart has them in their Christmas baking display now. They must be seasonal. I bought a bag and made the bread. Oh, my! Divine! So, I went back and bought 6 more bags. I may buy more before they go away so I’ll have some all year long. One recipe makes 6 mini loaves. Guess what I’ll be giving for Christmas this year!

    Molly that sounds yummy.

Going to Char for lunch today. Oh, what do I want?

  6. msblondie says:

hey gang! I am still alive. Still fighting the cough but oh so much better… but this crazy weather is going to drive me nuts.

molly that bread sounds good. I always give mini bread loaves for presents, they do make great gifts.

    everyone have a great day!

Afternoon. paper to bed. I’m going to go eat something. Have a staff meeting this afternoon. And then I dive into Santa Letters! Probably only about 800 this year. Two of our classes from South Pontotoc did not want to go to the trouble to type them on their computer in class. I FEEEL a lot of ill parents coming before Christmas.

I think the duvet cover was invented for EXPENSIVE down comforters. If you have an inexpensive fiber-filled comforter, just get a new one.

Got the 2013 budget done and I’m about worthless now.

I will share the Snickerdoodle Bread recipe when I get home. I brought samples to the office today. They were a HUGE hit! The senior attorney wants the firm to keep me supplied with ingredients so I can have some up here every day. I have a feeling they won’t be happy with just one mini loaf per person for Christmas.

  10. cardinallady says:

Did yall know that all those pretty yellow and red marks on the radar are actually scary when you see them coming in person? Just sayin’.

  11. cardinallady says:

Alright I’m about to splash home. Tired. Hungry and ready to go home and wash my hair and take a bath and wash some dishes. But I AM glad to see the rain. It was getting dry around here. see yall tomorrow.

I can’t wait to get that snickerdoodle bread recipe. That sounds wonderful and something my bridge crowd would like.

Those duvets may have been giving y’all hell yesterday, but do you remember when I dried Big Eagle’s feather pillow, not realizing that there was a loose place in the seam of the pillow. I opened the dryer and it looked like a massacre at a chicken ranch. I had feathers everywhere for months.

  13. parrotmom says:

LOL!!! no LegalE I do not recall that one. On my, I bet you were finding feathers in everything for weeks and weeks.

    Evening everyone.

    Evenin!

No, the duvet didn’t win…YET…. I got it washed and dried, but haven’t attempted to get it back on the comforter yet. That’s the hard part.

Molly, that sounds scrumptious! Looking forward to the recipe.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer is on. Classic. I love the Burl Ives songs throughout.

Howdy! checking in. Poppy had me running this morning. He’s feeling okay, but tires easily.

I am getting homesick, but it did occur to me about an hour ago that I could do something to help. Phone service out here in the sticks is spotty as best. I remembered FaceTime! I’ve never used it before. I have wifi here and at home, so I got Mr. Fab on the phone and got to see him and my babies :) Dinner was delicious. Neither I nor Poppy slept more than a few hours last night. I hope tonight will be better.

Y’all take care. Love ya. Mean it.

The world is an odd color here this morning. I took a picture of a complete rainbow in the back yard. Well, I took 2 pictures because it was too big to fit in 1 frame.

Be careful out there today. Looks like we’re gonna get some weather.
