Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Nah, they really don’t. It’s going to be another great week. And it will even feel like the season — nice and cool. Hope you survive this morning’s weather.

Morning friends!
Good morning! The rain should be out of here in about an hour. Then we are heading to New Orleans for a few days. Will probably drive in the rain the whole way. Ya’ll we have a steady rain falling outside and my leaf blowing neighbor is outside raking up leaves. He’s a nice guy but must have some kind of phobia about leaves on the ground. Will check in later. Smiles and hugs to all!
Your neighbor is one strange guy. I can’t imagine that the soaking wet leaves are easy to rake.

Mornin. Rainy morning. Got a lot to do this week. May not get to check in often.
Oh, I tried another new recipe. It is a peppermint cookie. Not bad, but needs a little more peppermint flavor. Next time around, I’ll add some more and see how they turn out. With peppermint extract in the cookie and in the frosting, and crushed peppermint on top, I thought there would be enough. But, no.

Morning everyone!! I waddled in about 7:30 this morning with my web feet. Goodies in my cube today. I’ll probably be waddling out at 4:30 for other reasons :)
I do miss the work dinners. Sigh.
They call me Stormy Monday……..
Still waiting to depart. Waiting for water to quit coming into the basement. May be another hour yet. At least we won’t be driving in the rain all the way down and the front should pass over New Orleans before we arrive.
Morning! Flitting in. How is everyone this fine wet Monday morning? Thank you ever so much for the kind birthday wishes Saturday. You all are just the sweetest family. I spent the day raking leaves and putting them in my dog house, cat house and chicken house. Yes my cats have their own huge house in the front yard. They can all snuggle down in the leaves together and I can feed them there instead of walking to the big barn every day. It is nice.
After the raking I went to mom’s for my cake and ice cream and coffee.
I saw a rare snake on my birthday. A Carolina bog Snake that my nephew caught. It was only about four inches long. The snake site said even herpatologists have a hard time finding and seeing these snakes. it was a treat on my birthday to lay eyes on something so special. My nephew turned it loose because it is so tiny and there is not food available for something that little around here. Maybe we will see it as a teen ager next summer.
After visiting three hours on mom’s hill, Jon and I scurried by Sonic and then went to New Albany for the 9 p.m. showing of Rise of the Guardians. It was a cute movie. Sunday afternoon we watched Aurther’s Christmas. That was cute too. I said goodbye to Jon this morning, but he will be back TOMORROW until 2013!!!! Hallelujah!!!
My girls are sick this morning. El had to to anyway for State testing. Em will have to show up for Trig since it’s a dual credit course with the MGCCC and they only allow 2 absences. After that, it’s a Did Not Finish. No excuses. Once they know the testing schedule for tomorrow, I can make them a dr’s appointment.
MrsH I hope they make it through with their test and get better soon.
Delaying our start this morning worked in our favor. We did not have any rain on the trip down. Took a long, long walk this afternoon to the French Quarter and had coffee and beneits(sp?) and walked back to the B&B. Got a Jazzy pass and plan on riding the bus and trolleys using our car very sparingly. After breakfast in the morning, we’ll catch the bus tot he trolley line and make it to the aquarium, and I-Max. Saving the zoo for Wednesday. Plan to eat well tomorrow and Wednesday.
