I’ve been “in the boonies” for for 34 days today. Should be finished in the next 3-4 days. Not real sure where we’re going next. Starting to get a little anxious about it. Thanks for askin’.
Good morning to you all. I have my fireplace loaded with wood and ready to light up when I get home. Hope MrsH’s daughters are better today.
Where is Coop, do you think the sisters baked her this past weekend while they were all in the kitchen together :). I believe had said something about being off? Maybe or I dreamed it.
Afternoon! Flying through. Got my paper to bed. Now I’ve gotta tend to Santa claus letters again. YES! Running to eat something then I’ll be back. Going to take tomorrow off! Maybe I will get my Christmas tree up.
20 minutes then time for home. This afternoon has not gone by as fast as this morning did.
everyone have a great great evening… i am wrapping gifts and finishing up a few gifts.. still have 2 scarf and hat sets to make.. but have a little longer to get them done.

El and I went to the doctor today. I got a shot of something and am feeling better. When I got home yesterday afternoon around 4, I went immediately to bed and didn’t really get up until 9 this morning. The eldest called last night and needed something from her taxes last year for their new apartment lease. Just the 1040EZ wasn’t enough. The apt folks wanted a signed copy. Well, if you mail your form, the IRS gets the signed copy. If you e-file, which we did, there really isn’t a signed copy. The apt folks then said that we should have gotten a form saying the return was accepted. Amazingly enough, I had printed that form out when it came and put it in her tax folder. I didn’t save the email, but hopefully the scanned printout will do.
And Em just informed me that she is headed to a friend’s house to work on their egg cannon for physics. She must be feeling better.
Evening! Spent all day in the French Quarter. Went to the aquarium, the butterfly garden and insectarium, and saw an I-Max movie. Had coffee and beignets again. Stopped by the Acme Oyster House after the movie and had a Bloody Mary and a dozen of oysters on the half shell and a couple of po boys. Rode the bus into town and back to the B&B. Headed to the Zoo tomorrow and plan to eat lunch somewhere on St. Charles Street. I think we will have dinner tomorrow at Bayona in the Quarter. I’ve heard good things about it and have never been.
OB, MrFab would knock you in the head to get that Bloody Mary and oysters!! Every time I drive by Lil Ray’s, I think of you.
I tried to go shopping today, and only came home (to Poppy’s) with cold meds, Vitamin C and Zinc, hot chocolate, and a new pair of slippers. I could crawl in the bed right now and sleep until Thursday.
It was downright cold this morning on the hill. I hope it warms up quickly.
Evening folks! Today was Mom and Dad day as is every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday! Didn’t accomplish much for me but I made them happy as always! Lord I don’t ever want to be in a nursing home. They are alive but just existing in a warehouse of old folks!

I’m feeling human again. I think El is going to stay home today. Then I bet she is feeling better in time for church tonight. (one of their favorite social outings as well as spiritual!)
I’ll have a lot to get caught up on since I stayed home yesterday.
