Good morning! I would have slept through the storms (we got some wicked wind) but a tornado warning for the northern part of my county meant my weather radio woke me up. But the good news is that new books are HERE!

Meta
wow first @750AM. Weather woke me this morning followed by the weather alarm and both hubby’s and mine iPads, blinking with the alarms.
It is Thursday.. hard to believe Christmas is really here. This year has flown by. So many changes in my life this past year all for the good I believe.
Everyone have a good day! And stay warm it is going to get colder as the day goes.
Someone called in a threat to our neighborhood school early this morning. Almost as soon as the kids were dropped off, the moms were checking them out. All parties and field trips for the day are cancelled. Like the cop from “National Treasure” said, “Somebody’s got to go to jail.”
And I see that there are two law enforcement vehicles parked in the church parking lot, now. I guess we do have a preschool here.
And the nut-job is apprehended!!!
Morning! Pretty strong storm around 5 am but it has passed. Wind is really blowing. Later folks.
I was introduced to this song this morning and it reminded me of Marshall’s story about the lone shining tree. With the struggles some are facing in our family here and elsewhere, I thought maybe someone else might need to see it, too.
written by Melissa Manchester and Beth Nielsen Chapman and sung by the Indigo Girls: “There’s Still My Joy.”
I brought my tree down to the shore
the garland and the silver star
to find my peace, and grieve no more
to heal this place inside my heart
on every branch I laid some bread
and hungry birds filled up the sky
they rang like bells around my head
they sang my spirit back to life
one tiny child can change the world
one shining light can show the way
through all my tears for what I’ve lost
there’s still my joy
there’s still my joy for Christmas day
the snow comes down on empty sand
there’s tinsel moonlight on the waves
my soul was lost, but here I am
so this must be amazing grace
one tiny child can change the world
one shining light can show the way
through all my tears for what I’ve lost
there’s still my joy
there’s still my joy for Christmas day
I think I heard the wind once last night. No weather alarms here. I guess if something happens, I won’t die scared.
Did my work this morning. Wrote a report. This afternoon went and bought 4 half gallons of Blue Bell. Ramey’s has it on sale.
We have a fun Christmas party to attend tonight.
It is a rough life you lead, OB!
One of my pups brought in a treasure this morning. As I started to pull the unidentified object from his mouth (it looked like a soggy piece of wood), I remembered past treasures he’s found and pulled back. Kiddo made him open his mouth and a tiny dead possum fell to the floor. Ewwww!
Ok, I’m getting back to work. If I don’t, I won’t get Christmas off!
evening to you all. busy, busy at work. we get to wear blue jeans tomorrow.
Mornin!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARSHALL! !! Hope you have a wonderful day!
GG, thanks for posting those lyrics. Beautiful.
I’ve been playing nurse all week. Big Sis has the flu. She’s doing better, but its been rough.
