wow at 8:09am I am first.
    morning gang!
after all this rain you would think people would know how to drive.. not this morning.. it was awful trying to get to work.
PM: hope Stormie is getting better.

I am afraid we are going to have our cat “D” put down.. he is not wanting to eat and can barely move and just cries. I have had him nearly 13 years.. M and him have grown up together.

Well, everyone have a great day!

    Mornin!

Msblondie, sorry about your kittiekid. I know how you feel.

PM, hope Stormie is on the mend!

    Y’all have a great day.

  3. Airwolf says:

Morning friends! Still wet and nasty. We dodged the ice bullet this time. Schools started two hours later this morning.

MsB sorry about your kitty. I still remember having to put Bubba down. Heartbreaking!

I hope Stormie is better this morning!

    Stay warm!

  4. parrotmom says:

Thanks for all the well wishes for Stormie. He seemed a little sluggish at first, but he couldn’t wait to get to his food bowl this morning and was eating. We played our little game before I left. I can only hope that he hasn’t gotten sick since I had to leave for work.
Either he was feeling better or glad I was going back to work. 4:30 can’t get here guick enough so I can get home to check on him.

    Morning everyone!!! Squish, sguish :(

Mawnin’ y’all. Been chasing legislative bills down, attending committee meetings, fighting water in the basement and cussin’ the weather. Decided to watch the Senate this morning on the computer and go to the Capitol right after lunch.

I’ll tell you my pump/vacuum has worked flawlessly! There is no water in the basement. The vacuum sucks it up and pumps it out so the water doesn’t get the chance to meander. That machine has been running 24 hours a day without letup.

PM, hope Stormie is getting better by the hour. AW, we haven’t had a bad time down here other then being totally waterlogged. The earth feels like a wet sponge that needs to be wrung out. Is “wrung” a word?

  6. Molly says:

Mornin. Ready for this rain to end! I think Kiddo may have strep. We have a doctor appointment at 2. She’s supposed to be shadowing a nurse in the maternity ward at River Oaks tomorrow. Don’t think that will be a good idea with strep! There would be some very unhappy new mamas!

  7. OldBopper says:

MrsB, hope you can make the proper decision for your cat. Don’t want the little critter to suffer. Prayers for you.

  8. cardinallady says:

I did fly through while ago Did the computer eat my homework?

It’s gonna get interesting in my neck of the woods soon. I’ve gotta get some stories done. Love yall!!!

PM and MsBlondie ((((((((((((hugs to you and your cats))))))))))))

  9. Mrs. H says:

Greetings. I’ve been busy this morning. I was hungry and wondering if it was lunchtime yet. 1:05. I should say so!

Checking in. Another night of no sleep, so yes I slept all day. The Girl just came in from school. A classmate has a brain tumor, and she is super upset and freaking out.

Winter storm watch and snow in the forecast? Oh boy.

Winter storm watch and snow in the forecast? Oh boy.time for a bread and milk run!

I hope M doesn’t have strep-that would be a big NO for hanging out in L&D! (Which is still my fave kind of nursing.)

  12. parrotmom says:

Evening to you all, Clucky I hope M doesn’t have strep. Not sure who will be getting the wintry white stuff, but hope everyone is prepared and stays warm.

Stormie has still been sickly this evening but his spirits are bright–in other words he’s talkative, playful, and still regurgitating some. The vet says it’s like gastritis to us. Wow!! a bird with Gastritis who would have thought.

Then lucky me broke a tooth–a jaw tooth one corner gone. The tooth has a large filling in it and the on call dentist tthis afternoon told me that if the filling comes out while brushing my teeth it was probably just needed to be remove anyway? what!!!! Seems that my ex-dentist sold his practice several years back and the new people are only open on Monday and Tuesdays. Well, I’ve not had a problem like this ever, but I am certainly going to find a local dentist that is at least open 4 1/2 days a week. geeze, I went into the wrong profession.

  13. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

I have severely neglected checking in lately, but I’ve been a bit pre-occupied with Big Sis being home.

Speaking of…she just texted me and said she’s home and fine, but doesn’t have internet access. She’s going nuts not being able to post on facebook.

Wondering if we’ll wake up to snow in the morning?

  14. OldBopper says:

Well I did it. I finally posted on my old blog. This one is about gun control and the NRA. Just my opinion. Here’s the address if you might be interested: http://sixplaysperquarter.blogspot.com/

Can’t believe our Governor. His idea is like bringing a cap gun to a war.

  15. Clucky says:

Almost 2am…waiting for SNOWPOCALYPSE2013 to begin.

  16. Clucky says:

    SNOWMAGEDDEN!

  17. Clucky says:

I love (/sarcasm) the way my brain works these days. I didn’t recognize my phone charger right in my face and looked for it all day (I’m serious-it’s like refrigerator blindness on performance-enhancing drugs), yet DING! I now remember HTML shortcuts.

Every Day Is An Adventure In My World

  18. OldBopper says:

Snow….Oh the weather outside is frightful….For those who want to be in the know, go to the Mississippi Department of Transportation to get a map of road conditions. They cover the entire state. Right now the only accident on the Interstate is on I-20 West at Airport Road.

  19. msblondie says:

morning gang! the drive in was fun.. and very pretty.

I got a few pictures this morning, but didn’t have time to post.

    everyone have a good day!

  20. Molly says:

Mornin. Did Thursday get snowed out?
Rankin County schools are closed. Don’t know why – there is nothing on the roads. The office manager of my office thought it was too dangerous to drive so he won’t be in today. He lives closer to the office than I do and I’m only a mile and a half away. Tried to tell him there is nothing on the road, but he’s too scared to get out. Sheesh. Oh, well, he drives us nuts so it will be nice to have a day without him. No word from either of the attorneys yet. I got here nearly 45 minutes ago and the other paralegal a few minutes later. The men, apparently, are wimps.

  21. Airwolf says:

Morning folks. No measurable snow here, just wet, cold and soggy. I’ve got to go buy some groceries! I dread fighting the crowd, I know bread and milk will be in short supply :-)
