I ranĀ 79,200 feet this morning. I found an indian mound near my house. I ran into and spoke to Delbert Hosemann on the trail. I met two very nice runners who I carried on a conversation with for a half a mile. I saw a deer. I watched the sun struggle to burn through the clouds as it rose over the Reservoir. I discovered an old road.
Someone asked me, “What are you training for?”
Right now, I’m not training for a race. I’m training for my life. I’m exploring and experiencing. I’m building endurance. I’m alive.
I ran 79,200 feet this morning. That’s 15 miles.
It was a great morning for a run.
