Wednesday Free-For-All

The humidity has arrived!  It was like running with a hot, wet blanket on this morning.  Yesh.  Storms later tonight. Be weather aware.

Good Morning Everyone! Okay — wait for it— Hubby got a job. It is part time retail so the money is not there but IT IS A JOB. This may get him back in the mindset of working. I know I have not been on here much but this entire episode in our lives has really taken a toll on me.

Morning! Anyone ever heard of an orange cardinal? All this yellow stuff makes my feathers look orange. hee hee

Okay, now that I’ve made all two of you chuckle. Let’s be serious about this weather system. It’s not going to be pretty. I have peace about it. No matter WHAT the storm, Jesus is HERE. Halleljuah!

We had a prayer walk last night. We walked and prayed for EVERY part of our church. We touched every chair in the Sunday School rooms and spoke the name of Jesus over them. We started at roughly 6:30 and got finished around 8 ish. It was darkish. WE met at our prayer garden for final prayer. The stars were out. it was awesome.

Mornin! Congrats DWB!!! Maybe this will work into something bigger and better. I know he feels good that he got it.
Kiddo left this morning for New York City. I had to have her at school at 4:30. I didn’t sleep much before 3:00 and not at all after 3. Glad I took the day off from work. And I’m not going back until Monday. YAY!!
    Ok, time for a nap.

    Pokes head in/waves hi

Congrats on the job news dwb810! It’ll only get better.

I’m home this week. Really bummed that I’m going to miss the pinic.

  6. Mrs. H says:

MR, Mr. H would rather sweat than be cold when he runs. He’s running his first 5K this weekend: The Beautiful Feet 5K. It’s a fund raiser for a Romanian mission trip.

Y’all keep your heads down with the bad weather. You seem to get so much more of that in the center of the state than we do down here. . . unless the storm has a name, of course!

  7. parrotmom says:

Hi folks. I’ve been here or somewhere. Blues hlad you are on a break from work, sorry we going to miss you at the picnic.

MrsH wishing MrH well on his first 5k.

Molly enjoy your days off. I’ll be off the rest of this week till Tuesday. I will be putting in some last ditch effort to study for a test.
    See you all later.

I haven’t been on the computer this week since BE has been on it a lot. I just saw MR’s thank you from Sunday and want to say that you are certainly welcome and I had a great time, as usual.

I had convinced myself and others that the MRBA pick-a-nick was this weekend and just realized today that it’s another week away. I guess I was just excited about seeing everyone.

We went by the Game and Fish office today off Eastover Drive so BE could get a new fishing license and they had some gorgeous trees with beautiful orange blooms that I had never seen before. BE asked what they were and they said they were native azaleas. I have never heard of or seen a native azalea before today. I went on the internet and saw that they come in a multitude of colors and that they are native because they aren’t mixed with Asian plants that become shrubs. The native azaleas grow into trees. I took a picture and I’m going ot paste it to FB, but I’m charging my phone right now since it was down to 1% power.

  9. Old Bopper says:

Evening! Glad to hear the good news DWB! Hope things start getting much better for y’all. Blues glad you are getting some home time. Just wish you could make it to the Picnic. Wow Molly, you scheduled that time off just right. Send the Kiddo away and sit back and enjoy yourself for a few days. Sounds great.

Got the screen porch cleaned today and enjoyed eating lunch out there. PQ came home this afternoon. I’m glad to see her. Her mother is really not doing well. My mom was busy washing windows today. That pacemaker is doing her good. Got a short ride in this afternoon and then put the bike up and covered it in preparation for the rain we expect this evening or early morning. Had to move things around so we can get both cars and both bikes in the car port.

I got PQ a Kindle 7″ HD reader for our anniversary. She says she really likes it. I’m anxious to give it a try too. We might become a two Kindle family.

  10. Airwolf says:

Evening folks. We have Bear with us. Flu has struck Lineman like a hammer. Bear said he sure didn’t want it again so he moved in with us. Pollen is so thick I can taste it. Nose and throat are protesting!!

Heads up for the nasty weather that’s headed our way!

  11. Clucky says:

Maybe the rain will wash it away, AW.

I’m waiting for Thing 2 to get off work in Decatur. I will be *SO* glad when he gets mobile on his own again. I slept maybe 4 hours-stupid migraine. It’s gone now-and I pray it stays gone. I have an appt this afternoon in Jackson and Mr. Fab is coming with me. It’s a shame the weather’s supposed to be nasty. It would be fun to show up at Blues’s for an evening cruise of the Rez :)

Molly, I sure wish I was in NY. I’ve always wanted to see it. Granted L.A. is huge as well, but we never went downtown (think “The Soloist”), and I just cannot grasp the concept of that much city :) Y’all have a lovely day-I’ll peek and see if the Thursday FFA is up.
