Good morning! It’s gray and dreary over here, but it’s not cold or raining. I’ll take it!

  2. Mrs. H says:

Rather gray here, too, Clucky. I get to go to the DMV today. Our eldest bought a new Fiat 500 and is selling us back her old Honda for Em to drive. They are both happy.

  3. blues4you says:

  6. Molly says:

Mornin. Back at work today. Looks like it will be a crazy week. I think I’m ready for another vacation!
Kiddo got home around 10:30 last night. Had fun, but is completely worn out. They were rained on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. At least one of those days it rained hard all day long. They still went out and about. I’m surprised she’s not sick. She was randomly selected at La Guardia yesterday to go thru a more thorough check. She was not amused.

I wasn’t amused in Reno either when I got pulled out and patted down and had my purse searched. I got on the plane and a man was sitting there in a turban. I should have borrowed it and gone back in for another search.

  7. parrotmom says:

Hey everyone, my last day off. I go back to work tomorrow. I could get really used to this being off stuff, but I still require a paycheck.

Molly, when I flew to Houston, TX by myself in 2005 I was selected for the extra search too!! I was told by someone else it was because I had a one way flight.

Can’t wait for Saturday’s picnic. I posted that I would bring the plates and plastic waree unless someone else has that covered? If so I can find something else. Blues sorry we will miss you this year, but we do understand. So glad that CornPop and Orville are going to be there—God has been so awesome in the healing process for Orville.

OB I hope all turns out ok with PQ’s mom and Coop I hope you voice is found by then and don’t forget the knee brace :)

    Love, hugs, and prayers everyone.

  8. cardinallady says:

Hey, I”m gonna bring a couple or three watermelons (I think) I did see some at the market here, so I’ll get them Thursday or have CardinalSon pick them up Fri before we leave town ….

  9. Legal Eagle says:

Am I correct in thinking that we will be missing Blues, Airwolf and maybe Grammargirl Saturday?

Flapping wings and flying off to my Monday bridge game now that I have Thursday’s group at an even number at the moment.

Hello everyone! Well, I have now cancelled Sunday evenings.

Holy Crap what a night. First our neighbors, let’s just say they are unique, the male unit came home about 9pm and hit the female unit’s vehicle – on purpose. Then RAN OVER THE DOG – on purpose. This was witnessed. Dog is in pain and will need surgery. I hope they don’t have to put him to sleep. Hurt pretty bad. Broke his tail bone so he can’t sit or lay down.

So, we finally go to bed about 11 something. At 3am our son’s girlfriend woke us up. My first thought was we overslept. BUT NOOOOO. A drunk driver plowed into 4 vehicles. Tore the rear tire off the first truck he hit, rear-ended a car that ran under hubby’s truck which ran into the car in front of him (about 12′ away). The drunk’s car then burst into flames. The 3 drunks were out of the car. So, #1 drunk is on the yard, not moving and did not move even when EMT’s arrived and carted him off in ambulance #1. #2 drunk decides it is time to retreive something from the flaming car as it snaps, crackles and pops. He then comes back to the yard and passes out. So off he goes in ambulance #2. #3, the driver, is handcuffed and gets a ride to the police station. He is complaining that the handcuffs hurt.
Truck #1 maybe totalled, car #1 is totalled, hubby’s truck maybe totalled and car #2 was able to be driven off. Maybe a little rear end damage.

So now you see why I have cancelled Sunday evenings.

  11. parrotmom says:

oh my goodness DWB what an eventful night. Good thing it was during the day light hours whose to say what human would have been on the street when this happened.

  12. dwb810 says:

I would love to cancel the entire week. Tues-Fri 6:45am till 5:30 or 6:30pm. Holy Moly will I be one whipped puppy.

  13. Mrs. H says:

Did you see about the explosions at the Boston Marathon?

  14. Mrs. H says:

My girls have a teacher at GCHS that was running the Boston Marathon. He has posted that he’s safe.

  15. blues4you says:

WOW! dwb, I don’t know what to say.

Prayers for the first responders in Boston.

  16. Legal Eagle says:

And two were killed, including an 8-year-old boy, and 134 injured, including 8 children,

  17. OldBopper says:

Evening. Had a city council meeting this evening. Cut grass this afternoon, Dental appointment first thing in the morning. Thinking about riding Bleuz there if the weather is warm enough. Got a new horn for Bleuz today; a FRIAM highway blaster. Makes the bike sound like a big car when you toot the horn. Inexpensive addition that literally took five minutes to install.

PQ is supposed to be back tomorrow afternoon. Then on Wednesday we are going to Tupelo for a meeting I have to attend on Thursday morning. Staying at the Wingate Inn there. I love that little motel. Impeccable, very nice rooms, good breakfast, free happy hour with heavy snacks and just off the beaten trail.

  18. cardinallady says:

Marshall, my heart has been hurting for you all afternoon. I just have been so busy with the newspaper that I couldn’t stop and cry. I know that you as a runner feels the sense of loss and pain that these people in Boston who ran that marathon are feeling. I love you brother.

  19. dhcoop says:

    Mornin.

I’m still stunned by the news out of Boston. So very sad.
