  5. dhcoop says:

I’m sore this morning from all the yard work this weekend.

As warm as it is, things could get rough today.

  6. Mrs. H says:

Boy! Am I glad I keep spare readers in my desk drawer!

  7. OldBopper says:

Good morning everybody! Hope everybody stays dry today. My mother is down from Arkansas for an eye appointment in Jakson. If the weather gets bad, I plan to drive them back to V’burg and have PQ pick me up and bring me back to JXN,

Headed to the Capitol in a bit. Need to make sure nothing is happening which might affect my client.

Oh, MrsH….will you please send me a private message via Facebook regarding last Saturday? I’m curious.

    Prayers for Legal.

  8. tank says:

morning folks. I thought I could do without home internet for a few months but I just don’t know…it sure is hard. I’ve been catching up w/stuff all morning. I did come in a half hour early to do that. I’m thinking about changing ISP’s. we have wildblue and this is the 4th time we’ve had equipment problems. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I don’t do country music at all but I do know Boone Daughdrill who is w/the Band Perry is from our little county and it seems they did well last night. I don’t really know any of those other people.

we did yard work saturday morn then hubby, daughter and I went to h’burg to eat at crescent city grill. tabella is open but I’m waiting till son-in-law can go before I go there. he loves Italian.

let grandma brag a minute please. the school pageant was friday night. I was kinda disheartened when I found out my redheads who are 3 would be competing against kindergarteners, some of whom are already 6. but believe it or not they did pretty good. lil sis got 3rd runner up, the other set of twins which are 5 yrs old, got 2nd and 1st runner up. big sis got most beautiful!!! we were so tickled. and the yearbook picture will be so cute w/both sets of twins in the pic. okay, I sound like a typical grandma. I’ll hush now.

prayers to you eagle. and everyone keep and eye on the sky and stay safe today.

    • blues4you says:

Tank congrats to your redheads. See if you had internet you could share some pics of those little cuties :)

  10. Barb says:

    Congrats to your grands, Tank!!

  11. Ann Onimous says:

  13. Clucky says:

Rainy Days and Monday’s Bring Me Down
    Just Anosther Manic Monday
    Monday, Monday..

Skies were clear at 8, but clouds are moving in already. Mr Fab got ready to leave this morning and since Chicklette was ready for school, he was going to drop her off. Lo and behold, his battery was dead.

Back to the grind. I wish I could crawl back in bed for another hour or three…

  14. cardinallady says:

Morning, flitting through. We got ourselves ready for this tornadic weather that they say is headed our way.

Now I’ve got to go listen to the supervisors for awhile. See yall later. :) HI TANK!! ((((((((((((((hugs to EVERYBODY)))))))))))))))))

  15. parrotmom says:

the morning is flying by and not much work moving out, but plenty coming in.

  16. blues4you says:

Raining very hard in east tx right.

    /cow
    //flatrock

  17. dhcoop says:

My Baby Girl just called and said the Weather Channel is reporting live from Starkville. She said they are saying 70% chance of tornado there.

    • cardinallady says:

Yes coop, Dr. Greg Forbes put us in the crosshairs of the dreadful cone of cantorie last Saturday. the crew is in starkville because they are on the eastern edge of what is coming and they can travel west into it.

I told my brother last year that I’d like to take a picture of a tornado. I might get my chance today.

    • Ann Onimous says:

Is Cantore there? If he’s not there, Starkville is good. If he’s there… well, I always had fond memories of Starkville…

    • Ann Onimous says:

According to the Weather Channel’s latest tweet, it’s Mike Seidel. Starkville is safe. :D

  18. tank says:

a word of advice: never, never, NEVER ever substitute dishwashing liquid for dishwasher liquid just because you discovered you were out of dishwasher liquid only after loading the dishwasher and deciding you are just too lazy to unload it and wash dishes by hand. needless to say, my hubby wasn’t too happy w/me. lesson learned.

    • The Real JB says:

      Well that is just goofy.

    • cardinallady says:

Hee hee hee, let me guess you had soap suds all over your kitchen floor. I did that right after I bought my house and was using my dishwasher. I haven’t used the dish washer in years though, because I find it easier to wash dishes by hand. I like the therapy.

  19. tank says:

    Turdhead

  20. OldBopper says:

My bills cleared the Senate without a scratch, waiting on the House.

    Welcome back TANK!

MrsH, message for you on Facebook. :~D

  21. parrotmom says:

JB I made all my agents happy in March. They are not making me happy this month. Some of them are in Hawaii for a few days. One of them told me he would call me from there.

  22. parrotmom says:

Tank I think it can be done, but a little dab will do ya.

    Chicken salad sandwich for lunch.

  23. Mrs. H says:

    Just got back from town.
Thanks, OB. You are GREAT!!! I forwarded it to Mr. H.
This month is CRAZY!! He leaves for Peru this Friday, gets back the day before Palm Sunday, the next weekend is Easter, and the weekend after that is the Eldest’s graduation from State.

  24. Airwolf says:

We are going to get hammered soon!

  25. cardinallady says:

Hang on Airwolf! It’s coming! I just saw two giant shelf clouds that passed northeast of us. They were rain wrapped to the south west. Heading east/norheast traveling fast.

  26. The Real JB says:

    Tornado Warning!!!

  27. cardinallady says:

Hunker down JB!!!! Yall pray for Airwolf, two tornados in Fulton County RIGHT now.

  28. Legal Eagle says:

What did you say, JB? All I heard was blah, blah, blah. Maybe by the time I get to Oz, I can figure it out.

Tank, is Tabella the new Italian restaurant that Robert St. John is opening? I’ve read in his column that he’s opening a new Italian restaurant down there but don’t know the name of it.

Y’all totally ignored my remarks last night about planning for this year’s picnic!!!???

    • tank says:

Yes eagle, that is st. john’s new Italian place. It is in the strip mall right behind the purple parrot/crescent city.

and yes, I vote we don’t wait until it’s 109 degrees to have the picnic this year and yes, check on the other place off lakeland. it would shorten my trip some but I don’t know if it would lengthen anyone else’s.

  29. parrotmom says:

you guys hang on. prayers everyone will be safe.

  30. Ann Onimous says:

A tornado was reported a mile west of Cool Springs Mall in Franklin. Praying for JB, his family and his church family…

  31. Mrs. H says:

JB, she has applied for an internship with NOAA for the summer (Slidell or Stennis, not sure which). They don’t get many meteorology applicants (mainly oceanography folks) so we’re hoping for the best. If she doesn’t get that, she’ll probably work at the bank part time and also volunteer at the NWS in Mobile. In the Fall, she will be going to Florida State to graduate school.

    • OldBopper says:

Wow! Hope she gets Stennis. All the armed forces weather forecasts for the world are done at Stennis. It would be a great experience.

  32. OldBopper says:

My legislation I am interested in cleared the House. Wonder if the Governor will sign it? It’s part of the massive Education bill which is in the billions. If they go home Sine Die today, my work will be done for the regular session.

  33. The Real JB says:

Wind got busy here at our office. Power lines snapping…several businesses around us are out of electricity.

    • cardinallady says:

Glad you didn’t get hurt my dear. Still stuff coming out of Louisiana headed our way. tornadoes near west point now. one northwest and one south east

  34. tank says:

I hope you fb folks can see my baby girls’ pictures. my niece tagged me in all of them. she came down and took pics before the pageant.

  35. tank says:

looks like I’ve got plenty of time to get home before the nasty stuff get here thankfully. y’all be careful.

  36. Ann Onimous says:

I hope we have time to get home. LilO has a sore throat and has lost her voice, so she’s at the doc. I’m still at work waiting for them to finish. I’ve just heard someone say the storm is in Vicksburg right now and the winds are very heavy.

  37. dhcoop says:

We just had tornado alarms here in downtown Jtown.

  38. parrotmom says:

I tried to post earlier but my dsl went out.

The sirens went off in Clinton about 4:30 and then again closer to 5:00. Lots of hard rain and wind.

  39. parrotmom says:

I hope JB and everyone up his way are ok. They had the weather channel on at the dentist office. So when my eyes were open I watching video from Starkville. My right side is so numb I know not to try and drink from my thermal mug so I am using a straw but I have to take very small sips. I guess this must be what it is like for PD all the time.

  40. Clucky says:

Wish I could have gone to the dentist. The tooth that was a little messed up last week is now cutting my tongue :(

  41. dhcoop says:

I decided to wait it out at the office. I would have been driving right into it.

    • Ann Onimous says:

Me too. By the time LilO got out of the doc, it was darker than crap out here: so I told them to wait. They headed into Walmart. :)

Speaking of, IG never told me what was wrong with LilO…

  42. The Real JB says:

    Dreading my drive home.

  43. dhcoop says:

it seems to have slacked up. I’m going to check the radar again and maybe make a break for it.

  44. OldBopper says:

Well, about another 15-20 minutes and the panic ought to be over. Had rain, lots of wind, thunder and lightning and tornado warnings. Electricity blinked a couple of times and the satellite lost it’s signal.

  45. parrotmom says:

Sad and DSL here. DSL way before the Sat ever went off.

  46. pncpnthr says:

Well, I drove through this mess. Hubby called just before I got under the clouds, told me to call him AS SOON AS I GOT TO THE HOUSE! And, what does he do? Goes to get something to eat & leaves his phone in the truck. I drove home at 35-40 mph, dodged trees & standing water, & he goes to get something to eat! There’s caring concern for ya!

Sorry, just a little stressed right now, not to mention I have four dogs just about to pop because they wont go out in the rain. Gonna try to get them out now. I think the worst has passed.

    Congrats, Tank!

    • parrotmom says:

So sorry PNC!!! A man’s stomach came before your feelings. It probably started a good storm once he realized his phone was in the truck :(

  47. blues4you says:

    Y’all hang in there.

  48. dhcoop says:

    Made it home!

  49. dhcoop says:

Watching DWTS. Glad I’m not watching weather.

  50. msblondie says:

We waited it out the office too before heading home.. it got nasty. I stepped out to leave about the time a cloud with a very visable hook started moving over the office.. I ran in and got everyone to the hall. Not 5 minutes letter small hail started to fall.

Entire time i was talking to M.. making sure she was in the hall here at home.

Just love Spring in Torando Alley

  51. parrotmom says:

Coop so glad you and MsB waited it out. I hope everyone north and east of us are all okay?

  52. parrotmom says:

Coop I hope you are watching DWTS with your mom. I am trying to get the rest of my tax stuff together to see where we stand with our tax guy.

  53. Ann Onimous says:

We made it home, although it was hairy once. We travel down West County Line to Cynthia, then Cynthia into Clinton. We had just passed 49 and were going through the pretty tree-lined part before Flag Chapel. We came up to a curve in the road, and I told IG, “Take it easy, honey: you never know what is on the other side of the curve… TREE!” Sure enough, on the other side of the curve was a very large tree limb covering our side of the road. We were able to make it around the tree limb, and I called the non-emergency Police number while IG drove the rest of the way home.

The children are now impressed with my psychic abilities. :D

  54. parrotmom says:

I love that you have some psychic abililities I have used the back roads on occasion so glad all worked out well for you and the family, AnnO !

  55. dhcoop says:

Crap. I keep trying to post and my signal is weak.

  56. dhcoop says:

Glad you made it home okay AnnO.

  57. dhcoop says:

Yes, I was watching DWTS with Mom.

  58. clucky says:

State Drills are at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton from 10-1 Saturday.

Weather was nasty here for a while. Temp dropped 30 degrees in an hour. At least the weather will be nice for my drive into Flowood in the morning. Praying no wrecks on I-20 in the morning!!!

  59. Legal Eagle says:

Ann, I have a first cousin and her family in Franklin, so I hope the tornado missed them. Her husband is an architect and they blasted out the side of a mountain to build their house, so I hope that ole mountain sheltered them.

I fell asleep about the time the sirens got louder and the rain got heavier and woke up about an hour ago. I had to call a couple of my bridge players before it got too late at night. My crowd goes to bed early, then can’t sleep, then get up and read and go back to sleep about the time to get up or get up at the crack of dawn and wonder why they have to have a nap the next day.

JB, ARE YOU COMING TO THE PICNIC THIS YEAR???? Yes, turd head, I know I’m yelling but since you haven’t showed up at one yet, it’s about time.

  60. parrotmom says:

Nite lite is on!! LegalE so sorry for the nap and so glad you will be able to help with the “Run for The Sun”! Both kittie girl’s are in the house. The numbness is gone, but I know where the shot’s were!!!

  61. clucky says:

    Goodnight, friends~!

  62. Barb says:

    Good morning!!
Left work early(right as the bottom fell out) sick as a dog. Went to bed. Feel a little better today.
Hope everyone made it through all the storms.
    have a good day!
