Good Friday morning. May we all have a blessed day.

  2. Pncpnthr says:

Morning! Looking forward to the Run From The Sun. Hubby said “This time next year we’ll run a marathon!” I told him “baby steps, please!”!!

  3. Ann Onimous says:

Thanks for the well wishes, everybody. I can’t wait to hear the game plan. I don’t know anything yet, but I’m super blessed either way.

  4. Airwolf says:

Morning folks. Ann good luck, praying all goes well.

I’m headed to the farm to try and cut three yards today.

  5. cardinallady says:

Morning all! Marshall I hope you enjoyed your moments in North Mississippi yesterday. Hopefully i can take it a little bit easy today. I have a most of the day story to cover tomorrow. It will be fun, but I will be outside all day. Our county is hosting a mock search and rescue drill.

  6. GrammarGirl says:

I hate I will miss RFTS this year, but we are headed out of town for a tournament. It will be fun, but I’ll miss seeing you fine folks at the Run and the Bible Drills for Clucky and AnnO, which is at a church in my fair city. Good luck to all drillers and I hope y’all have a fabulous time meeting new friends and visiting with old. Marshall, best wishes for the most successful RFTS yet. We are headed west around 2:00. Tough tourney–wish us luck.

  7. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all have a great day! This is just a quick peak in..

Good Luck t the Drillers and the Softballers… y’all have fun at rfts also.. i will be on soccer fields with nephews. I got the SPF50 packed already, along with hat and umbrella.

  8. Legal Eagle says:

My twins are having a birthday today! Happy birthday, C & J!

Good luck on your journey, Grammargirl, and good luck on your job situation Ann and I hope all of our Bible drillers win!

  9. Legal Eagle says:

One of my players brought me my very own pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling along with the recipe. It is so good. I’m having some with my coffee this morning.

  10. dhcoop says:

They found Jessie. Friend said he was far enough off the road that it looks like someone deliberately ran off the road to hit him. Some folks just need killin.

  11. blues4you says:

    I can haz some pleeze?

  12. The Real JB says:

I can’t stand people who are cruel to animals. Every time we get an outside dog it dissappears. I believe that it is my crazy neighbor doing this. So we have three inside dogs and a cat. Then we have the cat named Ace that comes to see us on most days but just wants to eat. We feed him and then he moves on to the next house.

  13. blues4you says:

I’m sorry, my post was a reply to Leagle.

Sorry to hear about the puppy.

  14. Barb says:

Coop, I am so sorry to hear about Jessie. It is so inconceivable to me how inhuman some so-called humans can be.
Good luck to AnnO and the drillers!

  15. parrotmom says:

well PD did have a UTI so they wanted him to come in. The doc started to give him a shot but decided just some liquid Septra and check his urine in a week.

  16. Legal Eagle says:

    Here you go, Blues! Enjoy!

Coop, that makes my blood boil. BE was driving down the interstate one day and a huge turtle was trying to get across, but was on the other side of the highway. BE turned around to rescue it only to see someone swerve to run over it. Some folks certainly do need killing and they will get theirs eventually.

  17. dhcoop says:

I know what you mean Leagle. It breaks my heart for Friend and G.

  18. Mrs. H says:

    Check this out: http://www.wxchallenge.com/challenge/cumulative_results.php
Looks like a 3-peat national championship for MSU! Today is the last day of the competition.

  19. Mrs. H says:

Oh, Coop. I’m so sorry to hear about Jessie. That’s just terrible.

  20. tank says:

hey soul sisters, ‘Train’ coming to Jackson!!!

  21. Mrs. H says:

My eldest could be a Cinderella. She’s 16 seed in the 4th region of the forecasting competition! WooHoo!!!!!!

  22. OldBopper says:

Afternoon folks. MrsH, MrH is right at the top of my prayer list. Coop, sorry to hear about your friend’s dog. That’s always tough news to deal with.

AnnO, hope everything turns out like you want it to do. I know you said you are OK however it goes, but I sincerely hope the news you get is what you want to hear.

Been a busy boy. Trying to help PQ as best I can, but its hard to corral her. She went the baseball game last night. We spent this morning doing all the pre-op stuff so on Monday all she has to do is show up. Then I took her over to a friends house who will take her up to an Episcopal Church Women’s conference at Gray Center. She will spend the night and be back tomorrow afternoon. She’s a lot tougher than she looks. That’s why I always say “yes Mam, no Mam and please Mam”. :~) JK.

  23. parrotmom says:

Good luck to your child’s softball team, GG.
Also Good luck to the children doing Bible drills this weekend.

  24. parrotmom says:

Coop that is so sad. So sorry for their loss. Then for it to look like it was deliberate makes it even worse.

  25. cardinallady says:

Okay, It’s Friday afternoon at 2:21 and I’ve done everything I’d planned on doing plus an extra thing or two. Can I go home now?

Jon and I are having date night tonight. Going to New Albany to see Hop. Get us right in the bunny hopping mood. :)

  26. Mrs. H says:

C-Lady, you have my permission. Should I write you a note!

    • cardinallady says:

That would be GREAT MrsH. Just tell my boss you work for a higher authority than all of us and He said I have permission to go home. Juuust make sure you pray about it first. :)

  27. cardinallady says:

*tapping my claw* Impatiently waiting on CardinalSon to get back from the house. He should check the mail and my new phone should be here. YES!!

  28. Ann Onimous says:

Job: won’t know anything til Monday. *sigh*

Looking forward to meeting Clucky and Chicklette at State tomorrow! Best of luck to all our Bible Drillers!

    • cardinallady says:

Sorry Ann. Do your best dear little Bible drillers!!! I remember Bible drills on the coast at Eastlawn Baptist Church. I was never good at it, but one girl was and she cried when she lost.

      • Ann Onimous says:

I won State back home in Kentucky, so it’s really neat to see my two love it so much. And we have a second gen State winner now. I can’t wait to see her in Speaker’s Tournament when she’s old enough.

Off to the hacienda. Catch y’all on the flip side!

  29. Pncpnthr says:

Is it possible the people pulled off the road to move him out of the road? I would rather think that than the other.

  30. cardinallady says:

CardinalSon is back!!! No phone. :( But we are leaving now. Yall have a great Mississippi weekend!!!

  31. Mrs. H says:

My name is Mrs. H and I’m a yarnaholic.
That’s right. The airport was too close to Hobby Lobby to resist my addiction. I bought a sock book (it has the cutest lady bug baby booties for my friend who is expecting a granddaughter!)
    See, I’m making excuses.
    I’m hopeless
(I got some cable needles, too, because I don’t have any and well……)

    • blues4you says:

but, did you get any yarn?

      • Mrs. H says:

One ball of of a bamboo blend that is an off-white color called “Naturally”. And a smaller set of double pointed needles than the ones I already had, because the baby booties need smaller needles. *sigh*

        • pncpnthr says:

I can’t go in Hobby Lobby or Michaels without buying yarn. My husband thinks they have a warehouse in my 3rd bedroom. He says they could stock the shelves.

  32. Mrs. H says:

I was beginning to worry: The combined flight to Atlanta (the one they were supposed to be on was canceled) was showing on Delta’s website as canceled also, but just got word they (barely) made it onto the flight to Lima!

  33. parrotmom says:

That is good to hear MrsH. Glad they are on their way and good luck with the booties.

  34. parrotmom says:

AnnO good things come to those who wait patiently!!! I know it is tuff to have to wait all weekend.

  35. Barb says:

For all you knitters, one of my favorite authors, (when I am in the mood for romance fiction) Debbie Macomber has a knitters’ club on her website if ya’ll want to check it out. She also is having baby blankets knit for a charity. Check it out.
    http://www.debbiemacomber.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=knitting&pageID=1

    • pncpnthr says:

My passion is crocheting. Never quite got the hang of knitting. But I’ll check out the link. Thanks.

      • dhcoop says:

You failed to mention you are ALSO addicted to yarn!

MrsH, she has called me from Hobby Lobby, or wherever and told me to tell her to BACK AWAY FROM THE YARN!! LOL!!

  36. parrotmom says:

Not a knitter but used to crochet, but only simple stitches.

  37. dhcoop says:

Well, that was one of the toughest funerals I’ve ever been to. I wrapped him in his favorite blanky and we put him in the hand made casket Friend made for him today out of heart pine. Then added the toy that he and Breezy were showing off with for me the other day. Friend had a piece of green marble for the top. G sang All Creatures Great and Small. I tried to sing with her, but wasn’t able. While she was singing, Friend planted his cross at the head of the grave. I am just devastated. The little bugger barked at me EVERY night and tonight when I left them, it was so strange not being barked at and having my pants leg nipped. Friend always said it was because he didn’t want his Aunt D to leave. I can’t believe how bad this hurts.

    RIP Jesse James.

  38. dhcoop says:

    Thank you, Barb.

  39. Barb says:

Stuff to do to get ready for my work week, so I’m going to wish all you good folks a good night with sweet dreams!!

  40. dhcoop says:

I am going to get ready to get some sleep and face the world (and the Run From The Sun) tomorrow. I may be frog-eyed, puffy and sluggish, but I’m going to do it. Dammit.

Good night my friends. It’s 7:30 a.m. in the UAE according to this computer. I have no idea what time it is here. I need to get a clock…

  41. Mrs. H says:

It’s 12:24 a.m. Mr. H arrived in Peru. (at least his flight did) I think I’ll go to sleep now. Sleep well, Coop ((Coop))

  42. dhcoop says:

    Mornin.

Thanks MrsH. It’s been a rough night. I’m glad to hear that Mr. H arrived safely.

I’m about to try to figure out what the heck I’m going to wear to the RFTS this evening.

I think a nice long hot tub soak is in order prior to my first walking adventure.

My eyes are so swollen from crying, I’m having a hard time seeing.
