    Morning!

  3. Barb says:

5:17 and I am going to make it to work today despite my back!!

  4. Barb says:

Molly, I understand what you meant about the leg and sciatica! The only reason I think I will make it today is because the pain in my leg has subsided alot!

  5. Mrs. H says:

    Good morning, all.

  6. pncpnthr says:

Morning! Got to get busy. This week is going to be Super Fantastic with a BIG FINISH!! Friday, here we come!!!
Hope all that are ailing feel better soon. And everyone have a glorious day! :)

  7. Mrs. H says:

Rats!! Missed Mr. H again :(

  8. parrotmom says:

It 6:08 good Tuesday morning. Good luck with your back today Barb and good to see PNC is alive and well and back on track with her “Super Fantastic ” week.

MrsH sorry you missed MrH again better luck next time.

  9. Mrs. H says:

Ooo… I had a connection with him for about 3 sentences. Apparently they had a “wild service” last night. “It’s amazing how people from different cultures and languages can worship together proving it’s not us but God.”

I think it’s odd that hearing the chat chime on FB can make one so happy and make them cry at the same time.

When my son was in Iraq the doorbell on Yahoo Chat did it to me. Volume turned WAY up! It’s wonderful to be able to communicate this way. :)

  10. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Good luck Barb. Hope the back cooperates.

PQ was restless last night due to relentless pain. She doesn’t complain, but I know she hurts. Maybe things will ease a bit today.

MrsH, we had similar experiences in Panama where we had Panamanians, native Indians, and English speaking peoples all worshiping together in multiple languages. Mr. H’s analysis is correct, “it’s not us but God.” It’s a wonderful experience that opens our eyes a bit wider in envisioning God’s world.

  11. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

  12. parrotmom says:

I hope everyone has a grand day.

OB prayers for PQ, I hope her pain subsides today.

  13. dhcoop says:

OB, I hate to hear that PQ is in pain. Hopefully she’ll get some relief today.

I woke up this morning and felt like I had been beaten. But, I got on up, came in and walked a half mile, then did some weights and I’m feeling MUCH better now!

Y’all, we seem to be a bunch of stove-up, sickly folks, but I feel the need to add another. Orville is having problems again, and it doesn’t seem to be related to the lymphoma. I don’t know much, hoping to hear from CornPop later, but I did want to put them out there for prayers.

    • CornPop says:

Thank you, Coop! Yes, Orville had another of his gall-bladder-style-attacks Thursday afternoon that have plagued him for the past 14 years. Even though he had his gall bladder taken out 10 years ago, he’s still been experiencing the same kind of attacks (the docs have said that he’s “just one of those people that continue with the issues after surgery”) & when they hit he ends up getting dehydrated even with the meds he keeps on hand. We usually end up going to ER, they run IV’s and give him meds for the pain the goes with it & we go home. Anyway, this time was real bad and when he finally agreed to go to ER on Saturday around noon the ER doc said that he came close to damaging his kindeys this time. They admitted him and have been treating him since then. This morning they are going to run a test that will show how his stomach & digestive system is functioning. If it shows what they expect, adnormal, then they think he has gastroparesis. It can be treated in several different ways, including with meds. If it shows to be functioning normally then they’ll run more tests, but we all agree that his problems need to be diagnosed so it can be treated. It’s bad enough to have to deal with the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, he doesn’t need something else messing up his appetite and digestive system. He’s lost SO much weight!

It seems that more times than not I’m asking for prayers. Thank you, Coop, for bringing me out to ask for them, again!

  14. Ann Onimous says:

Well, no luck on the job… so far. But two more positions have opened up, so I’m not out of the running yet! :D

  15. Ann Onimous says:

Prayers going up for Barb, Orville, PQ, Mr. and Mrs. H., and everyone who is sick or missing someone.

    • CornPop says:

I was thrilled to see your comment the other day, Ann, about IG’s last “nuking” treatment! I’m so happy for him and you!

These “episodes” that Orville’s been experiencing have seemed to become more frequent since he started taking chemo & he was starting to think his Non-Hodgkin’s was coming back and that he wasn’t in remission after all. :-( I told him that was probably because his whole system had been hit hard & was out of whack due to the chemo. At least he now knows that it’s not related to his cancer…just another problem that will be treated! :-)

      • Ann Onimous says:

Boy, that’s right. Chemo does a number on you. We just have to take our problems one day at a time and fix them as they pop up. I hope Orville feels better really soon.

  16. dhcoop says:

Somehow I ended up on the Runner list in the RFTS results. Bummer. I must have checked the wrong box or something. Came in 359th. I would have been 121st as a Walker. heh BUT I DID IT! LOL!

  17. Crystalbutterfly says:

    hey all!!!
prayers for all hope that you have a great day!!!

  18. The Real JB says:

Hello there good people…and tank. Glad to see the rain move out of here. One of the cool things about living up here is the beautiful streams that come alive after a rain storm.

  19. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope everyone has a great day!

prayers for all needing.. of course we can all use some.

  20. The Real JB says:

Don’t feel sorry for Tank. She deserves every bit that I send her way.

  21. parrotmom says:

    Prayers for CP and Orville.

AnnO I loved the way you did your math for coop.

    pizza for lunch :)

  22. dhcoop says:

Co-worker brought hamburgers he cooked on the grill and homemade baked beans to share. I’m looking forward to lunch!

  23. Ann Onimous says:

I ordered Domino’s. I wanted a chicken bacon no ranch sandwich.

  24. cardinallady says:

Afternoon everybody! Finally got the sheets turned down on another paper. it’s not quite to bed yet, still have to proof all that stuff I wrote this morning before the fat lady can sing and call it done.

Doc said my mom has double pneumonia. Daddy had to get her an oxygen machine and she is on meds. I am SO glad she went to the dr. it is easy to get congestive heart failure over lungs being too stopped up and she is not a spring chicken any more.

LOL @ Blues comments about me and the woods from yesterday. Blues I LOVE the woods. Jon and I camp out when we go to the coast. My brothers and I slept outside on the ground when we went camping and fishing together. I enjoy fishing and I enjoyed going to deer camp with my grandmama and listening to the men swap stories. I also enjoy rappeling.

    • blues4you says:

Cardinal, I’d pay good money to watch you rapell down the side of a building.:)

      • blues4you says:

I hope your Mom gets better soon. Gots to take care of yo Mommas.

      • cardinallady says:

I was trained by the best 21 years agi. Lindsey Sparks. A couple of years ago when I did a story on the army guys rappelling, I came down off the tower and the instructor was impressed with how well I handled it since I’m an older woman. hee hee.

My first rappelling experience was off of the bridge below mom’s house with a rope rapped around my tail feathers and a pair of gloves. Brother wanted me to do it the rough way first, then he put equipment on me.

  25. parrotmom says:

going to get my taxes done shortly. I hope for news.

  26. OldBopper says:

Prayers for Orville, CP and Cardinal’s Mom. Hope Barb’s back is better and that AW has been raised from the dead.

  27. The Real JB says:

I had a turkey sammich. Just in case you were wondering tank had shrimp with her bff…no, not me.

  28. Airwolf says:

Afternoon folks. I’ve been AFK all day. Finally got my car back. Having bronchitis and a back strain does not go together. I cough and somebody stabs me in the back.

Prayers for all the sick folks (me included). I’ll check in later.

  30. cardinallady says:

Okay, I’m on the phone to AT&T trying to get my new palm pre set up. This old dog is having a hard time learning new tricks.

  31. dhcoop says:

    Busy day here!

  32. Barb says:

Thanks for the good thoughts! I survived with not too much added pain today. Tomorrow will tell the tale!! Hope PQ and Orville do better soon. AW, I know how bad it hurts to cough when your back is acting up. You definitely have my sympathies!! Prayers for CLady’s mom, also.

  33. Mrs. H says:

Just got a message from Mr. H. Here it is:
“Today was another good day. I participated in leading five people to the Lord with me sharing for two of them. At the end of the day the town square was full of kids playing ball, people talking and sharing with the locals. It was amazing.”

  34. Mrs. H says:

Still no luggage for Mr. H. They’ve threatened Delta with paying his medical bill since he has medical equipment in the missing bag (his C-pap machine)!!

  35. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

MrsH, I’m enjoying the MrH updates! Hope he gets that luggage soon! He may be inventive, but a C-pap…

Just got to Gtown. Decided to come on down here for the night. MAJOR skeeter problem here. I’m not sure what’s up, but I just opened the door to the truck to get out and there were literally about 20 or 30 in it and one already biting me within seconds. Not sure what to do about that. I went out on my porch in Podunk last night (I live by two ponds) and didn’t see a single one.

  36. CornPop says:

We FINALLY have a diagnosis to what’s been making Orville’s life so miserable at times over the past 13 years…it is gastroparesis. His stomach basically becomes paralized at times – no rhyme nor reason to it other than it’s always brought on by food, but not any particular food. After all this time we finally happened on to have an on-call doctor during the ER “visit” that knew about this condition. All the prayers that have been said have been answered! The treatment is a compound medicine that he can take as he feels an episode coming on and/or take it before a meal that he thinks will cause it then he’s to take it for the next 24 hours after that. This should allow him to start living a “normal” life without being afraid that something he eats will shut down his stomach then it’s on from there. That’s how he describes how it feels – stomach shutting down. This med will start working almost immediately getting his digestive tract moving as it should. Thank you so much for all of the thoughts & prayers!

And, please let me offer prayers to all in need here, as well!

    • Airwolf says:

Thank God for a diagnosis! Prayers for you both!

    • CornPop says:

We didn’t get out of the hospital until after 5pm, but managed to get to the only one of two pharmacies in J’town that do compound medications & they were able to fill it right then.

  37. dhcoop says:

CornPop, I am SO glad to hear that!!! Yay!!!

  38. dhcoop says:

Almost time for DWTS results! Gotta go plug my phone in so I can call Mom.

  39. dhcoop says:

Clady, hope your Mom mends quickly!

  40. Barb says:

CornPop, so glad you have a diagnosis and that is easily treated!!

  41. Mrs. H says:

CP, knowledge is a wonderful thing.

Mark has been trying for a while now to get a Skype call the missionary that Mr. H is with. No luck. I guess the wireless connection at their hotel is spotty due to weather. Mr. H said it’s been really foggy and it will be really cold tonight.

  42. dhcoop says:

Service is sketchy here in Gtown as well, MrsH. It’s funny how someone could possibly get through to MrsH from Peru before I manage to post something from Gtown!!

  43. parrotmom says:

nite lite is on!! love and prayers to all!!! we sure all need them as most of us are ailing :(

  44. Airwolf says:

Good night folks. Maybe we’ll all feel better tomorrow.

  45. cardinallady says:

okay trying out my new oalm phone. My son says I will be addicted now. It is fun to catch up from the comfort of my bed. Hey, my fingers are small enough for these keys. Lets see if this posts, it didn’t.while ago.

  46. Mrs. H says:
