It’s 5:54 am good Wednesday morning!!!! Also known as hump day :)
May everyone be feeling better and have a great day.

  2. pncpnthr says:

    Morning! Can’t wait until Friday!!

  3. dhcoop says:

    Mornin!

  4. Mrs. H says:

Here’s Mr. H’s plan for the day:
‘I think I’ll be on my own today. I had been traveling with Jimmy but he is taking one of the translators over the mountain on a two or three hour hike at about 15,000 feet. We can’t even get the trucks to this place much less the van.’

Jimmy is Jimmy Holcomb, the director of missions for the George-Greene Baptist Association. He is a great guy. Still just promises on the luggage issue.

I’m at work already. Dropped El off at school for band competition and then left Em at her BFF’s house just down the road from the church. No make-up on, just clothes. I don’t think her friend’s family has ever seen her like this. Being a red-head, without mascara, she doesn’t appear to have eyelashes!

  5. LegalSec says:

Mornin’ All, hope you have a great hump day!

  6. parrotmom says:

Off to work I go. We are going to Primos for lunch today. It doesn’t quite make since to go knowing I will be working this Saturday, but it will be fun being able to eat with humans.

I hope everyone is feeling better and has a great day.

  7. Mrs. H says:

Weather report from Canta: ” There was snow on one of the peaks this morning. We had an actual rain last night. Usually we just have the clouds roll in to make everything wet.”

I asked him what village they were going to today and he has no idea what it’s name is. He’s just seen it from across the valley. It’s way up there.

  8. OldBopper says:

Mawnin’ y’all. Sitting in a chair at the kitchen table this morning reading the news on my mini computer. Rider, the cat, came in to say, “Hello” and rubbed against my leg. I dropped my hand down to give him a quick pet and whammo! my back felt like it was going to break. Intense pain, and I couldn’t move and couldn’t get out of the chair. After several minutes I was able to put all my weight on my hands and squirm out of the chair into a standing position. The pain went away and soreness has set in. Lumbar support is back on.

Just last evening I was thinking I had this thing licked. There was no more soreness and I was feeling normal again. It’s the oddist thing. I can walk, I can climb stairs, I can sit in my desk chair (which has extra lumbar support) and do most anything I want. I just can’t reach down from a sitting position.

This has got to get better fast. I’m taking my motorcycle safety course this weekend and I want to do it NOW so I can get my license next week. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’ve decided I’d like to ride. I’m an older guy who’s young at spirit. Marshall is losing weight and I’m hopping on a motorcycle (fingers crossed).

I guess it’s the proverbial, “no pain, no gain” situation. :~D

  9. Mrs. H says:

OB, I think we’re picking up my new bike Sunday afternoon!! I had thought about enlisting a couple of Mr. H’s friends to assist me and surprise him when he got back Saturday, but he doesn’t think he’ll be too worn out from travel on Sunday, so I’m talking to the seller to set up a meet.

  10. Airwolf says:

Morning! I seem to be better this morning. My back is still not right, very tender. OB I feel for you brother.

I hope everyone has a good day. Gotta make a run to Tupelo. I bought a new pump for my sprayer and it has a pin hole leak. Back to TSC for another.

MrsH by the time MrH gets his luggage he’ll be back home.

    • cardinallady says:

You are coming within 13 miles of me Airwolf (as if you didn’t know.) Have a good day in Elvis’ town.

  11. parrotmom says:

MrsH I Will see about the desert.

OB sorry abouy the back. That was a surprised annoucement about becoming a biker guy.

  12. msblondie says:

morning gang! hope all hav a great day!

  13. cardinallady says:

Morning! Chasing a story! Will talk when I can. Gotta fly!

  14. Mrs. H says:

Heard from El. George County Middle School made all 1’s at band contest.
Saw pictures of the National Championship Forecasting Team on the field at Super Bulldawg Weekend. : )
    I’m a happy mom.

  15. msblondie says:

MrsH.. That is great for El and the Middle School.

  16. dhcoop says:

    Congrats to El!

Got me a Newk’s chicken salad for lunch. :)

  17. OldBopper says:

Always blame it on the drummers! Back is doing OK with support on. No restriction of movement, no pain. That was odd this morning. Didn’t pick up anything just extended my arm about an inch lower than it was just hanging straight down by the chair.

If you live in the Jackson area, please know the Driver’s License station on 49 South is closed. If you are looking for a Motorcycle Handbook to study for the test, you will have to print your own from the internet or at least download the PDF file to your computer.

MrsH, other than a long flight, he should be OK. There’s only an hour’s time change and that’s no hill to climb. So no jet lag to speak of.

That’s a giddy-up-gone bike you’re getting! You won’t want to ride the Rebel once you get on the other.

  18. Molly says:

OB, according to Kiddo, there’s a reason everything is blamed on drummers….they deserve it! I was in the percussion section myself, and the drummers are definitely the most fun.

  19. parrotmom says:

I had the fudge square it was awesome!
I also had a tenderloin poboy with curly fries.

    Congrats to your daughter MrsH.

OB glad the brace has relieved your pain.

  20. Mrs. H says:

OB, I was just wondering at the lack of sleep. They will leave Lima sometime around midnight and arrive in Mobile just before noon on Saturday. I can’t imagine he’ll get much sleep on the flight. However, the girls and I will be going to a BayBears game Saturday evening, so the house will be quiet.

  21. Barb says:

OB, so sorry about your back!! Hope it does not interfere with your plans.
Congrats to El and the band.
My back is sooooo much better! Thanks to all for the good thoughts.

  22. The Real JB says:

    Hello all.
I enjoyed hearing from Mr. H.

  23. Crystalbutterfly says:

hey coop you are not the only one with a knee brace now they have me wearing one to try to put off doing total knee replacement for awhile I will know more when I see the doctor in July

  24. Mrs. H says:

Oh, No, CB. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

El told me that when the buses got back to the school, the entire student body was lined up, waving and cheering for their victory!!

I don’t know much about their principal, but he understands encouragement and team spirit. What a wonderful idea!

  25. parrotmom says:

Blues I like your comment for OB and Old Biker :)

  26. parrotmom says:

Marshall I love Haley in the pink Bunny suit. Too Cute!!!!

  27. pncpnthr says:

I got the best news ever tonight! My mother went to choir practice! She hasn’t felt like doing that in a very long time!!

  28. parrotmom says:

    That is Awesome PNC :)

  29. dhcoop says:

Evenin! Yes, Mom left me a message about missing Idol because she was going to choir practice. I was thrilled! She said she’d call me later to find out what happened. I’m making notes!

  30. dhcoop says:

CB, I hate to hear that about your knee! Good luck!

Glad to see lil sis and jb are speaking. heh

  31. parrotmom says:

I must read back, I missed that. Very glad though!!!

  32. parrotmom says:

We no longer have wall paper in the house. The paper was from the early 70’s gold with black felt design. Such a shock to see all blue walls in my blue room. He is not finished but it is so wierd looking. I mean we have lived here since 1992 with this wall paper. Now I need to hire someone to clean up the mess–dust and put everything back in place.

  33. dhcoop says:

Just talked to Mom. She really enjoyed choir!

  34. Mrs. H says:

News from Mr. H: “I splashed chicken soup on my clothes. I had some washed but they line dry so they are damp. This is starting to be funny.”

A lady who has made this trip before said to warn him about Runy the dog who pulls the sheets and towels off the line at the hotel, so I passed it on. You can’t be too careful when you don’t have spares.

He replied: “The biggest problem is I can’t get spares up here because I’m the biggest man in the county. Come to think of it you’d be the biggest woman in the county. I don’t think there is a native here taller than 4′ 9″. We have a translator who is from the other side of the Andes who is a couple of inches taller than me. Maybe I can steal his. ”

There is a lady on the team with him who is almost as tall as he is. I said that she must seem alien to them.

“Tall Blond Gringa” is what they call her.

  35. dhcoop says:

Just talked to Big Sis. She’s leaving for Bangkok tonight (her night) at 11pm. She’s very excited!

  36. dhcoop says:

Great to hear from MrH! Glad he’s managing, damp and all!

  37. parrotmom says:

nite lite to all!!! Nite lite is on at 10:28 pm.

  38. parrotmom says:

too funny MrsH. I wished I would have read sooner!

  39. Mrs. H says:

Night light is back on at 10:53 p.m.

  40. OldBopper says:

CB, hope your knee gets better. MrsH, guess the man has learned to do with a lot less. Hope he sees his luggage someday soon.

Wow PM, y’all are getting quite an update. I know you will be pleased when it is all done.

  41. parrotmom says:

Good Thursday morning at 5:58 am :)
