Morning. We have my Grandmother’s funeral today. She lived a long & full life with 4 children, many grandchildren & even great-grands.
But there is a family hurting today in Attala County that I can not begin to imagine their pain. A Grandfather was working a bulldozer, grandson by his side. The boy was 13….That family needs one of Cardinal Lady’s comforting prayers this morning. So do I.
prayers for you all today pnc and for the other family also. this same thing happened to my first cousin while tending cows in the field. his grandson was 6 years old. the mother had to be extra strong during the initial time so as not to put any more guilt on her father. he has never gotten over it though and his health has declined ever since. he is literally dying a slow death. that other grandfather of the 13 year old will need extra prayer.
Oh dear Lord Jesus … only YOU can even begin to fathom the grief that the dear grandfather is going through in Attala county today. Please, please on our knees we pray that you will surround this man with your comfort. I know he will NEVER understand … and yes the grief will consume him for years to come … NO ONE can comfort him like YOU. Oh God PLEASE draw him to your heart allow him in this hour of grief to pour out his tears before You and may he know that the holy angels that minister in YOUR presence surround him in this moment. Use this to bring many into your fold for the days are short and our lives are but a vapor. We will be careful to give you the honor and glory and praise for all You will do to bring praise to Your dear name. Just love him God in the way that only You can. We love YOU. IN JESUS name, AMEN.
AMEN!!
Amen. That was beautiful, Card.
Very Sorry.
good morning to everyone!!!!
Prayers to out mrba family members in their time of sorry of a loss of a grand Lady that they loved and were truely blessed to have so long in their lives.
Today is my Monday, oh joy!!!
Mornin.
I’m with lil sis on the prayer. We found out about the accident with the grandfather and grandson last night. Tragic.
What happened in that accident. Was the boy too close and the grandfather not knowing?
I know a family with a similar tragedy. What grief!
See you folks later have a wonderful Hump Day!!! I hope no more Mondays for MsB :)
hey all!!
prayers and hugs to coop and pnc and your family today
prayers and hugs to the grandparent and family of the young man that loss his life
Morning fluttering through. Gotta go get the money and bring it back to the fold. Will see y’all in a bit.
Oh, Coop and PNC may God comfort you all as you hold dear those sweet memories you had with your grandmother. I do understand my dears.
morning gang! Monday will not go away!!! called at 730 system had crashed (i was just waking up)… so in I come. I look real cute in my jeans, t-shirt and M-Braves hat. But I did get everyone up and working. Not real sure what caused the crash.
Prayers for Coop and PNC – never easy to lose a love one at any age. Prayers also for this other family and anyone esle that needs them. We have a request in our family as well – Hubby found out this morning one of his bosses’ wife and mother (father & son are a couple the bosses) passed last night. They were expecting and knew it was a matter of days/weeks. But still hard on them.
Morning folks. Beautiful day. I suppose I’ll putter around my yard today. Something is eating my roses.
Prayers for all those in need and pain!
Deer love roses.
This is some type of parasite.
I woke up this morning with a stomach virus and had to be one of “those” people and call the Wednesday bridge coordinator to tell her I couldn’t get there today and she would need to get someone to take my place at the last minute of the day of. I know how she felt because I hate for my phone to ring on Thursday morning.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to see JB and Cardinallady sharing a pulpit? It would be so nice to see them do the prayer together at this year’s pick-a-nick.
Prayers for Pnc and Coop and their family. Also for the grandfather and his family in Attala county. May God hold you all in His comforting grace.
Yall should just let CL do the prayer….she always does a great job. I don’t know if she has the guts to do my nonserious prayer.
You write much better non serious prayers than I do JB. You know how to pick out the neat characters of folks and poke gentle fun at them. I expect a great one from you this year.
Anybody in here a Castle fan. I’ve haven’t seen it yet but I heard how the season finale ended and I’m disturbed. How about you?
I like it but somehow have always missed it and never set the DVR.
I saw it and am not too happy about it!!
Hello all. Hope everyone can make the most of the day.
Just finished a wonderful ride on Boule. From downtown Brandon, across the reservoir, up Rice Road to Hwy 51 to Canton, then south to Goshen Springs, Hwy 25 south to 471 and on in to Brandon again. 65 miles.
Like!
So…no Castle fans.
So…hmmm…who is the Biggest Loser going to be?
I answered above!
I am a Castle fan, JB. LOVE the show. I haven’t seen this week’s episode yet, so don’t ruin it for me. I have it DVR’d.
Don’t watch Biggest Loser. Or American Idol. I have watched The Voice some, though. It’s pretty good.
one more hour to go.. it has been a long day. i am ready to go home… i think i might fix a bubble bath.. and have a long soak with a glass of wine. (wishful thinking)
everyone have a great night.
When I had a DVR, I always recorded Castle, but haven’t seen it this season. I love The Good Wife! I was happy about the Survivor winner and actually watched DWTS last night. I don’t watch The Biggest Loser or Idol, but when I watched the first episode of The Voice, it seemed to me that they had been screened a lot better that the contestants on Idol.
JB, I answered above.
Put my new shorter windshield on Boule today. Wow, what a difference. I can see over it and the wind buffeting is not as it was with the larger windshield.
Homemade soup and cornbread for supper tonight.
jb, I love Castle, but didn’t see your post till now. I don’t know what you saw that was disturbing, but now I want to know.
OB, I’m still a little freaked out thinking of you buzzing around Jtown on a cycle, but, I guess you know what you are doing.
Well, we buried Grandmother P today. I’m just glad she’s finally at peace. It’s been a tough time for my Dad and his siblings dealing with all of the crap that goes on with dimentia.
I spent the afternoon with my Baby Girl after the funeral. It was great that she was able to come up for the funeral. I still have a bit to digest after the day, but I’ll just say that Grandmother P is in heaven, probably fussing because it’s a little late to get a garden in. But she’ll still do it.
Thank you to you all. You are wonderful people and are so supportive when anyone needs a lift. I love you all.
Coop, glad you got to visit with Baby Girl…just very sorry for the reason.
Have you watched the episode of Castle we are talking about?
No, Barb, I guess I missed it. Maybe I can catch a rerun
You can watch it on ABC.com.
Nite lite is on! Nite and prayers to all!!!
