  7. tank says:

dropping in to say a quick hello and thanks before I have to start working.
thanks so much for all the prayers. the redheads did so good. the hardest part has been saying “no, you can’t eat chips. no, you can’t eat bacon”. you would never know they had surgery. we all took turns hiding in the bedroom eating supper last night so they couldn’t see what we had. they had chicken and stars soup, minus the chicken, vienna sausages and a boiled egg, minus the yolk. if anyone has any more suggestions for soft savory food please tell me. we just can’t think of much else. of course they’ve had tons of ice cream, popsicles and jello but they get tired of sweet stuff. to be no bigger than a minute those two can do some eating.

I do ask for your prayers again. hubby was diagnosed w/the big C a couple of weeks ago. we go this afternoon to set up surgery. hopefully that’s all it will require.

congrats to pnc and coop on the new baby. she surely is pretty.

five of us have 30 year service picture made this morning. it may not be the greatest job in the world but it has been stable for all those years.

y’all have a great day. now off to the grinding block.

    • msblondie says:

prayers for sure tank! Glad the redheads did so well.

      Mash potatoes and mushie rice.

    • Crystalbutterfly says:

      congrats on 30 years!!

  8. dhcoop says:

Tank, I’m glad the mini-tanks are doing well!! I saw their pic with their little “coops” in their laps! Did choclablover make those?? And I hate to hear that about Mr. Tank. Will be praying for him for sure!

Gonna be a busy day. Hope everyone has a great one!

    • tank says:

actually the Sunshine Ladies at the hospital made the froggies. They give one to all the children having surgery. They have been doing that for years. the girls dad got one when he got his tonsils out at age 5.

  9. msblondie says:

morning gang! Already at work. got a lot to do today. Now that school is out don’t have to take M so I can get in earlier and get things done.

    Everyone have a great day.

tank, I will keep y’all in my prayers and I’m glad the redheads came through their surgery so well. I hope y’all will be able to come to the pick-a-nick this year so we can all meet you. Anyone who can keep JB subdued for a moment needs to brownie or something as a reward.

I woke up and BE was on the computer. That was at 6:15, so I went back to sleep for a couple more hours. I don’t have to be anywhere until 9:45 and the next is 12:39 when the bridge game starts in Brandon.

  11. Legal Eagle says:

    or 12:30

  12. Legal Eagle says:

By the way, I hope DWTS turned out to your liking. They picked in exactly the order I had picked.

  13. Crystalbutterfly says:

LegalE good luck at the Bridge game today.

  16. Molly says:

Hello. Today is my Friday. We are taking a much needed vacation. Headed to Branson in the morning. We haven’t had a family vacation in 7 years! We’ve gone to visit family for a weekend a few times, but that’s not quite the same.

  17. Legal Eagle says:

    11:14 a.m.

    Have fun in Branson, Molly!

I’m sure y’all have heard on the news about the guy getting arrested yesterday with human blood all over his truck and the police looking for his girl friend. I just found out the woman missing is someone I used to work with. She worked for a lawyer friend of mine (yes, I do have some of those) for years and the gambling fever hit her and she ended up embezzling money from him and I think she did some time for that. Well, I just saw him this morning and he told me she is the woman the police are looking for. Seems her boyfriend spent 17 years in the pen.

  18. dhcoop says:

    11:31 a.m.

No Leagle, I hadn’t heard about that. That’s awful!

I’m going to try something new for lunch today. Old El Paso is putting out microwaveable pouces of “tortilla stuffers”. I got a pouch of carne asada steak with seasoned rice and black beans. We’ll see!

  19. cardinallady says:

I DID say hello while ago …. HONEST.

  20. msblondie says:

I have been in meetings since 930.. what a morning.

  21. Mrs. H says:

I’ve got a gallon plastic jar. I’m picking up some hose fittings and a piece of vinyl hose and I’ll get the dry ice at 7 in the morning from a grocery store in town.

I’m experimenting with my science experiments! Too bad Mark is on vacation this week!

  22. Mrs. H says:

Tank, you can put just about anything in a food processor.
Maybe you can find some baconnaise for those babies. http://www.baconnaise.com/

  23. cardinallady says:

Flitting back in. I didn’t get to see Captain Jack last night. Jon and I drove straight home instead. Good thing we did. My best tire, a Firestone peeled apart like a banana and popped off the trim from my Explorer. It never went flat and we were able to limp to the Fire Department of the little community and change the tire with the help of a local policeman.

My sister called me earlier in the day and told me that my grandmom’s last sibling at last went HOME. The news has been rough on my mom. Two weeks from today will be the fourth anniversary of grandmom going home. Their family circle is now complete. Reminds me of a column I wrote. If I can remember where it is I may dig it up and trot it out.

  24. Ann Onimous says:

Hey, y’all! Can finally check in: my team has flown the coop. Today is IG3’s birthday: we officially have a teenager on our hands. 13 years old. Where did the time go? As soon as I get released from work, we’re taking him out to dinner. Don’t know where yet, although I know where I’d love to talk him into. :)

    • parrotmom says:

Happy birthday IG3. AnnO I bet in some Geeky way you will manage on where you wind up. Good luck. May the teen years be good to you and him.

  25. dhcoop says:

    Evenin!

    Happy Birthday to IG3!!

Let me just say, on the record, Tom Jones is still hot!

  26. Barb says:

    Happy birthday to IG3!!
Molly , I AM jealous! I really want to go to Branson.
Tank, congrats on the 30 years. These days that is quite a feat. Prayers for you and Hubby.

I have another prayer request for all you good folks and this is one we may never know the results of but I feel I have to ask. A man was in the store today buying a stuffed toy for his 4 year old grandson. The little boy is in Blair E. Batson. His kidneys started failing last night. His name is Benjamin.

  27. OldBopper says:

Lonnnnng day at the ballpark. A couple of pretty good games though. Where I was working it was downright windy so I never got too hot. But for the record, PQ says I’m still hot!

Working the same again tomorrow and then my stint working at the ballpark will be over. I’ll just be a paid customer from now on.

Tank, keeping you and Hubbie in my prayers.

Have a bunch of stuff ordered for “Boule” and it all should be in next week. I’ll be a busy boy installing everything. Cancelled my original order for saddlebags after I learned the company had an “F” BBB rating. They actually confirmed the cancellation. Ordered some other bags (hard bags, AW and MrsH will understand) from another company. Also have highway bars and a light bar (both by Cobra) ordered along with some “dressy up” chrome parts. Put my rear fender bib (Mustang) on last night. Looks good. Thinking about a tank cover now. “Boule” is gonna feel real special when I finish sprucing him up. About the only things left to put on might be highway pegs and a Mustang seat, but those can wait. Still trying to find the right “do rag” but that’s not a huge expense. :~D

  28. msblondie says:

I got home tonight and M had gone and gone her hair cut off – from middle of back to under her chin. but it looks so cute on her. My thoughts — it is just hair it will grow back..plus she is the one that has to deal with it not me.

Happy birthday to IG3 -hope it was a good one.

    everyone have a great night.

    • parrotmom says:

MsB my dad disowned me when I cut my long hair (j/k) but yes I had to deal with it. So glad whem it grew out.

  29. parrotmom says:

OB, so glad PQ still see you as hot!! after a breezy day.

Nite lite is on, Prayers for everyone. We all can use one or two and more!!

Prayers for all the tornado victims no matter what State you are in. They have been horrible.
